Another call to Nebraska received on Mar 20 at 5:03pm.  Did not answer.

The "card services" scammers do not GET your number from anywhere. They use a robodialer , which dials through a sequence of numbers, until they get someone to answer, so they can try to rip them off. As reported in the AARP Bulletin, the callers are mainly drug addicts trying to get people's credit card numbers in attempt to support their disgusting habit.

Received a call from 775-000-8965 at 1:22 p.m. CST on March 6, 2013.  The person had no idea it was an answering machine and said 'Hello, this is Amanda and I am calling from' and heard the beep and hung up.  I am always very suspicious of calls that the prefix is 000 as everyone should remember the phone companies do not have any prefixes that are all zeroes.  I for one, will never answer a phone call after my caller ID identifies it and speaks the number or name outloud if it is not a name or number I recognize.  The only time I answer Unknown Unnamed is if I am expecting a call from certain medical facilities that I am expecting or Target Pharmacy reminding me my prescription is ready.  Otherwise even those calls go unanswered.  I wish I had a telephone that I could block calls on but my current system does not.  I would love to know how they get our phone numbers to harrass us.  Anyone have any ideas on that.  I do not shop online and I do not email anyone other than relatives.  I am not an online gamer.  And sometimes they even call me by name and my name is listed as an initial and my last name, but no address, so where do they get this information from?  If one knew, might be easier to eliminate the calls.

This is a scam.  Recording claims they can lower your interest rate on your card.  I zeroed out and someone unprofessional answered and I said to take me off their list.  He hung up on me.  Must be a major scam.
