Getting calls from this number as well as 788-654-3233. Same thing. I don't answer on my cell phone, but on my land line, I just get silence.

It happens to be the case that some of us are businesses whose business lines are among the phone numbers that these scammers are calling.  I, for example, am a musician, and my business numbers are associated with cell phones that will not display the name of the person who is calling unless I have programmed their name and number into my phones first.  So a potential client who calls my numbers for the first time will be calling from just as unfamiliar a number as that of a telemarketer.  When you call a business you expect to be able to talk to a person as close to right away as possible, not a machine.  So if you're a business you HAVE to keep the lines of communication open for unfamiliar numbers.  If you go the voicemail route your customers may lose interest and take their business elsewhere.

Unfortunately, some of us also happen to be on a prepaid plan.  So any time these telemarketers call you, they effectively STEAL your airtime from you.  I've downloaded software to block numbers that call me, but such software only goes so far.  I've had this Bahamas cruise scammer call both my phone numbers from only a few of the nearly eighty numbers I've found them to be calling from so far--and eighty phone numbers is just too many for much of this blocking software to handle.  It's bad enough these businesses are calling us in search of our money, rather than to offer us some of THEIRS in exchange for our services--do they have to be allowed to be in a position to steal our airtime too?

I am getting calls from 7786543237 and from 7786543239 on my home phone and on my cell phone. As I never answer unknown numbers, I allow them to keep messages on Voice Mail. But they never leave any messages on Voice Mail. When I call back on the numbers immediately, I get a recorded message that "Now the Survey time has expired". I have blocked these numbers on my iPhone. Also I reported these numbers to "Canadian Do Not Call Registry" on their complaint line 1-866-580-3625.

They also called my yesterday. Usually I don't answer those werd numbers but I taught it was related to a purchase I made Online so I answered and nobody was at the other end. I will continued to not answer those werd number, no matter what I think it might be!

I had a call from 1 778 654-3234 at around 5 p.m on May  08, 2014 on my display but there was no message.
No one was home when the call had come in.   Is this some kind of scam?

Not sure why everyone gets so freaked out that an unfamiliar number dares to call them. Just don't answer unfamiliar numbers if you're so worried. That's what voicemail is for. If they don't leave a message, it wasn't important. Why are people such slaves to technology? Who cares who called? I looked this number up for a friend who can't access her computer right now, but next time I won't do it. Delete it and move on folks. Not everything is a conspiracy or scam or rip-off.

I have absolute no tolerance for these kind of BS calls. Since the DNC list is virtually useless, I got myself a gizmo called a 'Sentry' that you hook up to your phone line. This seems like the most promising solution for ridding myself of this nonsense. I'd suggest to others generally fed up with this kind of s**t to look into getting one.

Number called my cellphone 5 minutes ago. Didn't answer cause I didn't know the number. No voicemail.

This number called  on my cell phone,  which number only family members are supposed to know.  i haven't installed any apps.  as my phone is very basic, just for emergencies.

This call was about a "Free Cruise in the Caribean"  It would be fine if they offered it in February!!!!

Girl who called identified herself and Annie or Amy then I hung up. Bell is selling off the rights to mask callerID for these scam companies.  I received a phone call from a phone number similar to mine (same suffix) and answered it, and it was a free cruise. Then an hour later I got a phone call from the same number, and it was a girl who had a missed call from my phone number and she was returning my call. I explained to her what had happened and she was surprised, as was I.

The Wireless Cartel was crying when Verizon was coming to Canada pleading to people to sign a petition to keep Verizon from coming in... I guess not many people signed it but still the Verizon band deal fell through, and in return they are screwing us in every way they legally can. We NEED a Verizon or Verizon itself to come give us fair pricing, and unlimited mobile internet.

No clue who is trying to call my cell phone. Can you let me know who that is? Can we block numbers ?

Just called me and I didn't answer as not recognized number to me.

They called two time around 2:14pm central time, u win a cruise and do their survey then at the end they want ur credit card information for fees.

They are scam scam scam, block them or tell them to GTFO

Very tired of these nuissance calls but still get them eventhough i'm on the Do Not Call list. Makes me wonder if regestering with D.N.Call was even worth the effort.
