Much of my experience with Advanced Air Systems is the same as the reports above.   I have to say that I feel somewhat foolish for allowing the hard sell 3 hour slog to take place, as I should have remembered that there is no such thing as a free lunch!    
Having endured the so-called presentation, and having turned down all efforts by AAS to bring down the price - exhorbitant as it is - I mentioned a couple of times the 2 night accommodation gift, which I chose rather than the Slap Chop kitchen implement option.   Having packed up his equipment the presenter made his way to my front door and when I asked, again, for my free gift, he said he would have to go down to the van.   I said I would accompany him to the lobby door, watched him stow away the vacuum etc. after which he hurried over thrusting the Slap Chop box at me and saying that the hotel voucher was in the mail and that John, the driver, would deliver the voucher the next day.   It was only then that I realised I was never going to get the gift of my choice and that the kitchen implement was a sort of booby prize.  

Another thing:  did anyone else get asked to supply canned food, purportedly to be given to the needy?
I did, and yes, I gave him 3 cans from my cupboard!   Sometimes I Iwonde about mysef.

Glad to see these postings as this group is expected at my home in prince george this morning. Thank you all for giving us the heads up. As a result, they won't be getting a foot in the door.
I'm not sure how they got our number but my husband seems to think it was due to a Telus promo.

A young man came to my door asking about air quality.  He asked if air quality got worse.  He asked about air quality in home and which was more important to me.  He made it appear as if he was someone from the government doing a survey.  He actually told me that he was doing a survey.   I then received a card saying that I am now registered and that I may win a prize.  He actually told me I was now registered  and asked for my name and phone number to contact me in case I would win the prize.  I then went on my computer to look up information as to who they are and find out it is a company selling air quality instruments or devises.  I am sure they will try to sell me their product and I do not want to be bothered and harassed by them.  The company name is Healthtek Enterprises Inc, this name shows on the card and it says it is sponsored by them.

Just Recieved a Mail  "Post Card Shape" Scratch & Win In My Mailbox Today,....July 30th, 2012. Funny, i guess 2 were stuck together. Scratched both, and won on Both. Is Lencare Financial Services in Pickering Ontario a legitimate business? The company lends money to people without the presence of a lawyer or a representative from the company. The same guy is here in prince George and just showed up thank god my husband was here when he realised we were not about to purchus he started asking about our big screen asking how much it cost and about our sons name how old he was, and other things in our home after he left I looked on the net to check them out and found out its a rip off we phone Rcmp immidiatly

Same thing happened to me - I said they could do the demo in the lobby of my apartment as I do not let strangers in my apartment for security reasons.  The salesperson wanted to use my phone to call his manager "Sean."  I said I would call the manager from my phone but that the salesperson could not come in.  When I explained to the manager the situation asked what was my problem and that the sales person was harmless and what did I think was going to happen to me.  I said no he could not come into my apartment then Sean proceeded to swear and hang up.

Received a phone call from 714-972-0116.  VERY RUDE!!  After calling ME, and me telling them I would have to find a time to meet with them, I asked how long it would take as I am busy, she hung up on me!!  Don't give survey people your info otherwise, you will regret it!!

Does anyone know about that you can press a few numbers on your phone when you answer the call and then the number will then stop calling you? I think it's ###? does anyone know?

Rec'd at least 3 calls per day from this # over the past week.  This is insane!  Called Healthtek and requested they NEVER call me again.  An hour later, they called.  I told them to "F off" and never call again.  This is a ridiculous nuisance, bordering on harrassment.

The number listed on your caller ID is *not* the telephone number the  calls are coming from. They must have figured out a way to have an incorrect number showing.  I had blocked 778-785-4259 previously - and have received calls today.....  When I attempt to block the call the Telus message says the caller is "outside the calling area"  This is some type of scam.

I got this number 778-785-4259 from my phone caller ID. Nobody answer. It happend 4 times around afternoons!

To the employees of Health Tek that have posted:
Both have stated that Health Tek would not "waste time and money" calling people, and would not choose to harm their reputation.
When I phoned and spoke to a representative at Health Tek, whose number has been calling me at LEAST 2 times a night for the past 2 WEEKS- and always after 8PM, I was not at the peak of my politness...  I was very blunt and very bitchy (still am...)
I was told by this rep. that this was a glitch with the number, and that Telus is the problem- not them...  All I hear at this point is excuses.  The rep stated that some people are getting called at 3 in the morning!!  Like I am supposed to be THANKFUL that I don't receive calls at this time, and what would I like them to do?
To this I reply that if this is such a problem, they can DISCONNECT THE NUMBER!!!!
What?!  No!!  This is a $200 000 phone system!!  
Well, I let them know that if they continue to let this happen and they piss off enough people, they will be losing more than $200 000.
They will be losing money AND their reputation.

So there is a relatively simple solution to both the possible public image troubles and financial, too.

(and I do apologize to the guy I spoke to, well, yelled at.  It is not his fault his employers suck...)

I received a call from a woman saying i had won a prize for participating in a health survey in November. She said i had the choice of a bbq or a trip to one of 50 destinations. I chose the bbq and she told me it would be delivered the following day. When the guy showed up at the door, in a sporty blue vehicle with BC plates 796 KMN, he said he was there to do a demonstration. i told him i wasn't interested in a demonstration and just wanted the prize. He feigned surprise and said he had to make a phone call. He got back in his car and drove off, without any explanation. I called the number, 604 520 3565, for an explanation. Whoever answerd the phone said it's always made clear in the initial phone call that they are coming to do a demonstration. Not at all the case. The guy on the phone was very reluctant to provide info. He finally provided his address as 226 17 Fawcet Rd, Coquitlam. He said the sell Filter Queen Vacuum parts. He woudn't give me his business registration or tax number. Definitely a big waste of time. Completely unprofessional. I doubt they actually sell anything.

I have received a phone cll twice now from this number. I dont answer callsfrom numbers I dont know but everytime I tryt o call it back it says your call can not be completed crazy I tell you.
