Fraudulent company that called my 94 year old mother and got her bank account number to "renew her TV Guide Subscription". So far this year Northshore Publishers Service has stolen $354.00 from her bank account using electronic checks that cannot be stopped or returned. a real TV Guide subscription is $28/year. This company also goes by the name of North Shore Marketing. Both are located at 30 Eastern Avenue, Malden MA 02148.

Got this call today.  Trying to sell me a subscription fo TV Guide.  Told him I already had one; had one for years.  Then she tried to throw in another magazine for a "special rate."  Told her I wasn't interested.  These people never give up.

That's NOT true! Worked in TV Guide sales over twenty years.... they sale us your info, then claim not to have when you call and complain!

Just got a call from them, too. Salesperson hung up on me. I called the 781 number back, and asked for a supervisor, and after explaining that the first person hung up on me, she, too hung up on me! Fortunately, I recorded the conversation. I have reported them to the Office of the Attorney General of the State of Mass., and of New Jersey, where I am from, and am writing to TV Guide magazine, with a copy of this list of complaints from all of you, Maybe the AG or TV Guide will put them out of business, and we'll read about it in..TV Guide!

You can file a complaint on line with the Mass. AG's office. Takes about 2 minutes. Let's go get them!!

received call from "No Sho-#781-322-1224" and when I answered, they went into a spiel about renewing my TV Guide and then wanted to start taking credit card info.  Told them to send me a brochure and they quickly hung up on me.  BEWARE!!  I don't think they have anything to do with TV Guide.

I received a call from 781-322-1224 and they wanted me to extend my subscription to TV Guide.  I said yes, but stopped dead still when they wanted my credit card number.  I told them to send me an invoice.  I have since received a call from them every day.  I work during the day, therefore I don't answer.  they never leave a message and NO SHO comes up on my caller ID.  I did call the number once, and someone did answer.  I asked why they were calling me, and was told to hold on.  I did for 4 minutes. (crazy me).  How can I get them to stop calling?

Your all retarded to think its a scam, they are just doing their jobs so if you don't want to get any promotions simply don't put your number out in the world. Your DNC list is bs, your number still pops up in their computer if your on it or not so have fun paying extra money for something that doesn't work, now that's the real scam there. NOSHO is short for Northshore marketing you idiot learn to read a caller ID. Call tv guide all you want ad tell them this but tv guide does have a renewal system so obviously they would tell you it's false so they can make money off of you GENIOUS. Oh and one last thing, there are 7 other renewal agencies out there so complain all you want but you'll be getting calls for life. They buy files from tvguide for renewals so try are licensed under it. Don't want it, don't gotta be rude simply tell them you don't want to renew and they take your name off. On the other hand be rude and annoying, they'll most likely put you back in the system for fun :) works both ways you know. So go ahead try to sue them,, they are a legit company that does payroll and all legit company things so stop wasting your boring lives calling and reporting people. Your all pathetic anyways! Tvguide? That's why they created the Internet. If your still getting one then your really old and don't know how to access cable or a computer & those people are pretty happy to get these promotions from companies like north shore.

Tired of these NoSho people calling, especially before 9 AM.  We don't even get the TV Guide!  Also on the DNC list, which I totally blieve is a farce.  It just doesn't work!  Every Tom, Dick and Harry call at all hours of the day and night -- nothing stops them.  I think we need to go back to two tin cans and a string for communication!

I have gotten that call 2 times a day. I was curious about the name NoSO like maybe I hadn't shown up for something. My time at home is precious and I hate phone calls of any type. I use text and email and can read when I am ready.

For some people the Do Not Call list law is just one more law to break.  If you are planning to trick someone out of their life savings you won't mind breaking another law to do it.  

The FTC does not have the manpower to go after every company that is reported.  The scammers and thieves know that and continue to call.

If people have so called "reported" them, why are they still calling? It obviously means they are a legit company and not a fraud.

Received 3 calls today from this number.  They hung up before I could answer to tell them not to call me again. They never left a message.  (I'm on the Do Not Call List).  Caller ID shows "No Sho".  When I dialed the number, a lady answered "North Shore" and said they were doing surveys.  I asked to be placed on their company's Do Not Call list and she politely said she would comply.

I received a call but do not answer calls like this (my reason for caller ID).  I just recently registered on the national do not call registry and if they call again, I'll file a complaint.

Received a call from this company, obviously a scam. Talked to the real TV Guide and they assured me my subscription is fine.

Caller from 1-7981-322-1224 wanted to to obtain subscription to TV guide for $52 for te year and asked for credit card number!

"unknown caller" on caller id.  called too early at 8:10 am.  Identified themselves as "magazine distributor".  They are really North Shore Marketing.  They started to ask about my TV Guide (I no longer recieve, TV Guide, not since 2003) and I told them 8:00 am was too early to call, and phone solicitors were not to call before 9 am.  The person apologized and was polite and said they would correct their list and I asked them not to call and I would not buy from them, I was hung up on while I was talking.  They can keep talking to the answering machine.  This is about 3rd time calling.  With caller id I don't usually answer these calls.  When they call at too early or too late times, I will let them know.  At least a dozen or so different numbers from all over the country have called claiming to be "magazine distributors" and tell me they handle my subscription (which I don't recieve!).  They can't ALL be telling the truth.  Don't buy from them.

Yes, it is a crime when unsolicited calls are placed in violation of the Do Not Call list.

North Shore Marketing has been around for many years and I have had three of my children work for them. They got treated very well and learned what it was like to hold a serious job. The mangers taught my children that responsibly was very important. They also learned that when you deal with the public you must have patients for all walks of life.
They gave my children the chance to learn how important it was to hold down a job.  When a lot of other companies would not give them that same chance.
They are a company that supplies the public with reading material that a lot of people like.  Don't know why so many people think that it is a bad thing.  People need to chill out a little and just remember that every one is in some kind of business to make a pay check.
Simple calls of a product that you have received in the past is not  a crime to ask if you are still receiving it.
Your children have to start some where in the working field, so lighten up, there's a  lot of other things in this world to get stressed over.

I just received one of thes calls.  I took the advice of Beth from Williston ND  and called 1 8-- 866 1400  which is the nbr for TV Guide.  I spoke to a supervisor and told her my experience.  She said that to her knowledge  North Shore  was NOT  affiliated in any way shape or form with TV Guide.  And would forward the name and nbr to the higher ups in her company.  And she did thank me for reporting them... so if anyone else is getting these calls now   pls do what I did and report them.....
