Caller ID "PM Sports" - local number this time..........or so it would seem. Been getting a lot of these calls this week - they call, my answering machine picks up, they hang up. Tis the season, I guess.

Guess it's my turn.!!! Just started getting called from the sob's at "PM Sports. 781-349-4726" Based on what I'm reading, I've got a number of irritations ahead. If any phone savvy person can come up with a way to get back at these scum buckets, please post it. The phone company, (Verizon) can't seem to come up with a way to do it, or perhaps doesn't really care, and the Federal "Do not call list" doesn't seem to work for these illegitimate irritators, Perhaps a creative approach using a PC (or MAC) might be possible. The PC might be programmed so that if a listed I.D.# calls (Using a dedicated PC hooked up to the phone line), a prerecorded piercing tone could be sent as a reply to return their greeting. I don't know how to do it, but I've got a bunch of slightly outdated PC's that I would love to put to productive use. Maybe these b*st*rds get their jollys just annoying people. I sure hope some one somewhere could figure-out/provide a solution. God bless your efforts.

Getting call from 781-349-8381, every day and no one is on the other side.
Why we getting call, do they make money placing calls or Even if we pick up do they benefit from it?

Phone system said "Private caller", but listed the number 781-349-4726.
Never seen that behavior before, which looks like a phone company glitch.

Bumbling tele-scammer called, stuttered thru my 1st name twice, then called me Mr. ___ twice, introduced himself as "Hi my name is [imperceptible] calling from [my town] Kids." Then he hung up.
