The fact remains that if people are on the DNC list and have not given out their number to these people, then the caller IS in violation of the DNC. People should NOT have to call them to be taken off a list they shouldn't have been on in the first place.

The are a registered company with the BBB and Chamber of Commerce. I've met with them and they are professional and legit. You obviously gave them or an associated business (such as Angie's List or Groupon or Living Social or one of the myriad of on-line deal sites) your phone number at some time or other. Hence, the DNC list will be ineffective. It's ineffective anyway, it's useless. I wonder if The DNC sells our information. They allow charitable-donation callers (who knows who *they* may sell your number to) and to any company in which you've shared information -- if the vendor can prove that you have , they will be considered leigit and won't be listed on the DNC list.
May I suggest a really creative way to stop the calls ? Call and tell them you're not interested and ask them to remove you from their call list. Presto chango done. I've done this with other legit companies and they actually do remove you.

see my update. they are a well known and respected business, I wish I could have afforded their services and that I didn't live in a condo-- the work they recommended I need to do involved common area which I legally cannot permit. Hence, I'm stuck with a leaking basement which is ruining my foundation.

If they are calling people who are on the DNC list then they are NOT legitimate!

They are a legitimate company, I bought a voucher on Angie's List and they came in to provide an estimate. They are very professional and I wish I could have afforded their services. Call them and ask to be removed from their call list; I did that with another company who I also found thru Angie's List and they removed me and stopped calling.

Yup. Basement Technologies. We've used them, and they did the job, but they keep "cold calling" us! Maybe a Facebook Jeer?

ooops, I actually did purchase an Angie's List voucher for this business. But why would they call me and not leave a message. I'm reporting only because it's annoying and rude to call and hangup no matter who the company is or whether they've been invited to call you or not. Poor customer service. If someone actually wants to talk to me they will leave a name number purpose of call and relevent call back information.

Had Basement Technologies come out for an estimate. After hearing their insane estimate, we decided not to use them. Now they call offering discounts, specials, etc. Told them each time...NO. I called them back once and told them to STOP CALLING ME. They stopped for a couple of weeks and now they are at it again.
HATE THEM.

Boston Basement Technologies / Busy-Dog. Relentless phone calls (i.e., harassment), year-in, year-out, masquerading as "marketing." If you so much as call for an estimate, they will get your number from Caller ID, and they will hound you for the rest of your life. You could die, and they'll just keep calling your family. You can never get off their call lists, even when you ask repeatedly. IT NEVER STOPS. Don't do business with these people -- don't even call them.

Basement Technologies. This will be the 3rd number I've blocked from them.
