I just got a call from this # on my cell phone. Man with a thick accent said something about a computer virus. I told him I'm not interested and please don't call me again. So he replied "ok I call your wife and pork her," then hung up. This was my first call from this #.

THIS IS THE 10TH TIME THIS PHONE NUMBER  (FOREIGHN DIALECT) IS CALLING, CLAIMING THEY ARE FROM MICROSOFT.

I keep getting a call from 784-754-1234 all times day or night, do not answer  and also get calls from UNKNOWN answered once and it was something in a foreign accent saying they were my computer tech and my computer needed cleaning from viruses and trozans.  I said sorry, my computer is only a day old and hung up. They still call every once in a while.  I just don't answer ANY number now that I do not recognize, let voice mail pick up any calls and then return if I recognize.  Funny, is I am on a do not call list, but it does not seem towork.

Called to our mid-fl land line at 8.28a 10/25/13. left no msg (we no longer directly answer ANY incoming calls.  We wait for the ans machine and answer if we recognize the caller.)

784-754-1234 keeps calling. I don't answer now and put the number on my DO NOT ANSWER list. They never leave a message. When I answered it once, no one was on the other end of the line.

Got called from this number at 11:55PM last night!  Mumbled something about a computer in a very thick accent.  Then hung up.

Receive calls from this number all hours of the day and night. I never answer a.nd they never leave a message

Brighthouse/Time Warner has a tool available to selective call fowarding. . When I get one of these type of calls I enter it on the roard runner web site and have it foward to Eric Holder Attorney General in Washington DC since the do no call list does not work and nobody can stop these calls because the numbers are bogus. Complaints made on the do not call list complaints also do not stop. What slowes them down is a long answer /voice mail message advising "this number is on the do not call list please remove it from your data base and any other data base that you might have given it to."

Caller said he was from 'Star Tech Solutions' and the 'International Routing System' had indicated my computer was about to crash.  These calls that try to frighten you into co-operating with them when they tell you you have a virus and your computer is about to crash are ALWAYS SCAMS. Whatever you do, DO NOT follow their instructions to turn on your computer etc.  They either want to charge you for fixing a non-existant problem or worse they access your computer with your help and secretly install malware.

We just had a call from 784-754-1234 at 11:20pm.... can you believe it at that time of night.....our hearts are still beating fast as ...anyway..... no one spoke so I hung up and looked it up.... what jerks calling at that time of night.....

Someone from this number called. My wife answered and asked if she was Mrs. Basil. When she said no he told her to "Go to hell and go to jail" I tried to call back but call would not go through with 1 in front of #. However when I called without the 1 it went through to a local number.

I get multiple daily phone calls from this number - they never leave a voice mail because I refuse to answer phone calls from numbers I don't recognize.  Please make them stop.  

Changing to unlisted doesn't stop the dialer machines from calling you either sadly.. You might try a call blocking device or phone.  They have several types over on amazon and I read someplace here that the T-lock Incoming PRO Call Blocker sells for under 60 bucks on Amazon and can block up to 1500 numbers.

These people have been calling me non stop, about a computer virus, I just screamed at them for calling at 11:15pm. I'm going to change my number to an unlisted I'm so sick of all these scams and telemarketers .

Just received a call on home phone but didn't answer.  Have previously received calls from Windows Service Centre in California and they also told me that I needed to turn my computer on because of a virus.  I really am smarter than that and told him that I wasn't close to a computer.  Then when he called I started answering that it was the county morgue and asking which body did he want to pick up.  He finally stopped but looks like he is calling again.

Caller says he is calling from a Windows Service Centre in California. Wants me to switch on my computer which is infected according to messages he has been receiving in the last few weeks. Told him I am using an iPod and he hung up.

Didn't leave message.   Spoofed caller ID of "Saint Vincent and the Grenadines" (a string of islands in the Caribbean).  

DO NOT ANSWER.   Many times, these calls are charged back to your phone, with the caller splitting  part of the charges with the phone company.   The scammer tries to keep you on the line as long as possible (sick/injured relative, lottery prize winnings, etc.) to run up the bill.
