It's time to confront these childish telemarketers you seek only to get you frustrated, because they are frustrated. Hey, I was one of them, more than 10 yrs. ago. I used to take out my frustration once in a while on potential customers/clients. Todays telemarketer is much smarter and more clever. They have the technology to mask thier calls with real or false information, misdirect you, and laugh at you while you join a blog or complaint site like this one. I am very smart and clever myself. I know it is them. ;-) I am going to take action against them, in that I will scare them enough to take me off thier list, 'cause you cant take them to court, and the police won't touch such a matter (the company doesn't know this. You can rattle thier cage. Call them and put some fear into them. Don't forget to snarl). I already tried taking another company to court for same reason but, they stopped crank calling my house. Got a new tele# number...and the same battle all over again, now it's these culprits and others (like ADT & The Orlando Sentinel). What a mad and crazy world we live in. Hahaha they think that someone like me won't find them?! They are seriously mistaken.
Your welcome to everybody.

This company continues to call me, I never answer, they leave a message about lowing interest rates on credit cards. they don't even know if I have a credit card or not. This is so annoying.

I called the FCC today to lodge (another) complaint about this number. They said that "Card Services" is classified as fraud so I have to lodge a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.
Kathy 2012-10-31 20:09:01 Telemarketer
Credit Card Services with the usual.. I hit talk then end. The 3rd time they called in less then 15 min and I gave them the whistle ..
They don't seem to like that for some reason.. LOL!
Thomas 2012-10-31 17:11:21 Telemarketer
Typical credit card scam. on my cell phone as well. added another number to my "do not answer" contacts, with ring tone of "silent" so I the phone doesn't even ring.
waste of time to report to FCC. DNC is a joke and only honest companies pay attention to it and even then they ignore it a lot. The criminals simply ignore it.

Once again, Rachel! Hopefully no one of our generation will ever name a child Rachel again since that name is now universally hated by everyone who is sick of these calls. Seriously, how do these people stay in business when they are so completely despised? Who are the idiots that are buying what they're selling? Somebody MUST be keeping them in business. Who could be so stupid????
Steve 2012-10-29 14:48:44 Telemarketer
They called and I pressed the option to talk to a live operator. They said "Did you press option X?" I replied "I want to talk to a live person." Click the connection was cut.

Pest called - left recording, but I only heard part of it.

They have called me three days in a row. I punch #1 and yell at them each time. Horrible people. They have called me at least once a month for 4 years. Lately, the calls are much more frequent. I report them each time to donotcall.gov
Michael Swinney 2012-10-26 19:18:34 Unknown
This is a SCAM. DO NOT answer them. They say CARD SERVICES and can lower your credit card. I never asked them to call me.
annoyed 2012-10-26 18:53:32 Unknown
this @#$$%^^&%$# called our private residence # at 1:45pm today 10-26-12 and we do not answer calls unless we know the caller, so we pick up the phone & immediately shut it down, hoping the @@#$%^$#
will someday realize people will not talk to them. Our government is too busy bad mouthing each other to get this type of harassment stopped.
Solution 2012-10-26 18:24:18 Telemarketer
If you want to stop these calls then you need to dry up their revenue source. Your phone company is charging you a fee for caller ID. Your phone company pays the scammer for sending the caller ID information. Your phone company pays only a fraction of a cent per call and you pay $5 to $15 to your phone company. The scammers send out millions of calls per day which amounts to a significant amount of money however your phone company is charging a large amount to millions of customers. This may have something to do with their inability to stop these calls.
In order to stop this we need legislation making it illegal to charge for caller ID. If a phone service wishes to operate it would need to provide the caller ID at no charge as part of the service. Here is the $50,000 solution that the FCC is looking for and it doesn't cost anything. Here is an excellent blog site that I found that explains how one company is getting away with this activity.

What To Do When You Get an Illegal Robocall; http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/robocalls
1. Hang Up. Do not press 1 or any other numbers to get off the list.
2. Consider blocking the number
3. Report it at http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
4. Report it at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov
Register your phone numbers online at http://www.donotcall.gov or call (888) 382-1222 (must call from # you want removed).
When I receive a call from a new number I put it in my contacts list under Scum Suckers and assign it NO ring tone so at least after the first call they don't bother me anymore (I have filled all of the numbers in each and am up to Scum Sucker 47 now). Some phone companies will allow you to block a limited amount of numbers, this is only a whack-a-mole solution however it is the only one I can offer.
Americo 2012-10-26 18:22:59 Unknown
Everybody keeps complaining there is nothing that can be done about these ruthless phone calls. Sure, you report the harassing caller to the DNC, which in my experience is useless, but I think there is one thing you may be overlooking. Report the callers to your state attorney general's office. I, too, have and are receiving these annoying phone calls, and wish for them to stop. It is stated, there is power in numbers. Perhaps, a class act suit needs to be filed, where the all the people can ban together to put a stop to these callers once and for all, or at least the multitude of people, banned together, can force the FCC, DNC, Attorney General's Office, or the Legislator's to put a stop to this form of harassment.

I've reported Racheal from Cardhold Services to the gov many times, but they have not stopped her. She called again today.

Rebecca-
could you expand on "call forwarding merry-go-round". Have you come up with a clever way to have the telemarketers calling each other?
Annoyed Family 2012-10-26 14:16:38 Telemarketer
They call over and over supposedly offering reduced rate mortgages. If you push 3 to be removed you are disconnected. If you push 0 to speak to a person and tell them you want to be removed they hand up.
Andre 2012-10-26 12:36:24 Unknown
I called CEO yesterday and wa surprised when he answered. Says they are a phone company and they don't make telemarketing calls, and they have no affiliates that do either. But clearly some of their customers do. He says companies buy phone numbers from Peerless but often don't even route their calls over PEerless' network.
class action lawsuit 2012-10-25 21:52:29 Telemarketer
another "Rachel from Card Services .... " call to lower interest rates - tried dialing 1 to talk to a real person and they hung up immediately.
Fed UP 2012-10-24 21:59:04 Unknown
Easiest solution for all of these is to require ALL phone companies to provide unlimited call blocking / call forwarding services and let us report all telemarketing numbers to a "black list" that they will then automatically
Along with that they should be required to automatically drop any call coming in their system that is not a valid phone number or the caller ID is invalid (same as phone number, name of a city or town)
do that and the calls will disappear in a couple months

Another SPOOFED NUMBER they are using while trying to commit FRAUD and run a SCAM. It's a scam to rip you off and then disappear without leaving a trace, once you are FOOL enough to give them your credit card number. DON'T FALL FOR THIS-This same recording used to give 'her' name as AMY, and sometimes RACHEL. Now they've cut the part out of the recording where it gives a name...Now it starts out "...COUNTS-THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS WITH YOUR CURRENT CREDIT CARD ACCOUNTS.'' These idiots are so dumb they made the recording start in the MIDDLE OF A WORD. Who is DUMB ENOUGH to do business with crooks like these?

Like everyone else here, I get 3-4 calls a week - ALWAYS report to the Do Not Call Complaint.
Must be bad because the FTC offers reward for innovator who can stop robocalls --- check this link out: http://rbr.com/ftc-offers-reward-for-innovator-who-can-stop-robocalls/

tj 2012-10-23 22:16:52 Unknown
Rachel card services on spoofed number. This is a scam and they don't recognize do not call list - if anything they use that list to make calls.
complain to FTC here. https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2
I asked the lady if this was the suicide hotline and she hung up right away! LOL
Next I filed a FTC comlaint
Last I re-dialed the number and it says press 1 to be removed. If you do this they actually know you respond so that makes them call you even more so the number I put in is either local congress people I cant stand - they should deal with this anyway or FTC #'s and if they are dumb enough to call the FTC # then maybe the FTC can get a better trace on these a$$holes! Great idea! I just called and left a VM for John Barnicle and told him if I keep getting calls from 7863589799 even though I've requested several times to be removed I will continue to call his voice mail and fill it up daily untill I'm removed ant stop getting calls from them to lower my cc interest rates
