Possibly doing work for collection agencies.

Trust no one.

I have spoken with this Chris Lee and the new central investigation guy. Are they both scams? I have sent over $1000 to Chris Lee and need to know what to do now.

A buddy of mine was getting hassled up here at work, and these scum bags were leaving messages on everyone?s voicemails telling us that he is not paying his bills and he is going to jail and that we had better tell him to call them back immediately. So that?s when we decided to give them a taste of their own medicine. We have been calling these people nonstop for 3 days now, and I?ve got to tell you I have never had more fun. We practically have THEM begging us to stop calling.

They called this number looking for one of our employees. Left a threatening message. When I returned the call I told them they had to contact the employee at home. He was very persistent and threatening. Identified himself as Officer Mike Peterson

this person called my cell and i called him back Domicnic Spencer on my office number now he has that  and I made arrangement to pay him 292.00 on the 9th of September but I've paid 700.00 to another person with the name of Chris Lee with DEPARTMENT OF CORPORATE AFFAIRS his number is 646-504-7642 and he was looking for me to pay the final payment of 587.00 that I didn't pay because I wanted proof that I had paid in full and he didn't want to provide me with this info.

I'll tell ya this.  Stop calling my phone or I will hunt you down and take care of it personally even if I have to travel to Florida to do so.

keep calling saying they are officers, and are threating to come to work site to arrest me for not paying a "PAYDAY" loan....loan was paid I don't like the treats.....

He calls and says he's David Nelson from central investigations.  He started calling for my assistant at my number but is now calling for me.  Annoying and scary.

I recieved a call today from a man named Mike. I had to ask him his name several times because I couldn't understand him. He had a Middle Eastern accent. He wanted to talk with my husband. He said he had an important message for him. If I didn't give him the message and he didn't call back then he would have serious legal problems. I just hung up on him at that point becaue obviously this is a scam. If my husband were in trouble he wouldn't be calling. I would have an officer at my door with the legal papers.  He said two different agencies when I asked who he was representing. He said at first he was a Legal representative from the Bureau of treasury but the second time he said he was with the Department of Legal Representative from ( some organization) I couldn't understand him. The problem is this guy is calling on my cell phone. How did he get that? My husband has his own cell phone.

I could hear lots of people in the background talking the same as he was and giving the same message. He was very hesitant when giving me the number. It was almost as though he didn't know the number. He had to ask for it from someone else. The number appeared as 3 000's on the caller id.

The HR director from my wife's employer called saying see had recieved an urgent message for my wife to contact her regarding an inquiry concerning an ongoing investigation by someone named Shawn Marden. Recognizing the number and the name of the person as someone who has been trying to pose as a law enforcement officer or investigator in order to extort money from victims that they intimidate to facilitate the commission of this fraud, I said that this tactic is not only illiegal under FDCPA but that this person in particular was not a credible or a legitmate bill collector an not give them any information regarding us to this person. The gist of the scam is to get phone numbers of victims to call the above number on a recorded message so that they can repeatedly harrass and annoy the persons residing at the phone numbers servicing their homes who leave their contact information on the recorded message until they submit to this scam. And they use many different ways to disquise the identity and location to make placing any restraint or possibility of prosecution impossible.

I called the guy back and told him my name, he claimed to not know who I was!!

Does anyone else have any other information for this company? I contacted the FL State Attorney General's office to file a complaint but they need an address for the company. I admit, I owe a lot of people a lot of money (debt sucks BTW) the 1st call, I explained to the man I was unable to speak to him and then hung up on him. He called back and left a message with his name, the name of the company and a call back number (I had to listen to the message about 10 times to even understand the name of the company) I assumed it was a debt collector! He then called back 16 more times within a few hours, he even left a 2nd message! After about the 6th call, I answered and told this j***off he was in violation of the FDCPA because he had id'd himself in the message that he already left me. He called back again, left a 2nd message that stated he could call me as much as he wants because he has my SSN. I am beyond pissed, I have googled the number, the company name and this is all I can find. If ANYONE has any other additional information I would love to get my hands on it so I can file a formal complaint against this a** wipe for blowing up my phone all f'ng day!!  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!! I NEED MORE INFO!!

I'VE BEEN RECEIVING THESE CALLS FOR THE PAST MONTH NOW..ONE GUY NAME ADAM  WHITE SAYS HE FROM AN LAW OFFICE AND THEN THERE'S THE GUY NAME JAMES ANDERSON WHO CLAIMS TO BE AN DETECTIVE. I CALLED BACK TODAY AFTER THEY CALLED MY JOB WITH THIS NON SENSE AND WENT OFF! AND IN THE PROCESS OF CURSING THEM OUT YOU CAN HEAR OTHER PPL ON THE LINE PULLING THIS SAME SCAM. THESE PEOPLE NEED TO BE REPORTED OR SOMETHING CAUSE THEY'RE BARKING UP THE WRONG TREE!

The have called me 5 times today at work and the also called my mims house.  I hvae not lived there is 35 years.  When I called the number back, the person said "hello".  I asked who I was speaking to.  He asked who he was speaking to.  I said I was not giving out my name and to quit calling my work.  I was called everyname in the book.  I hung up.  Good thing my work records all the calls.

received a phone call from 786-477-8958 telling me that i have been named in a lawsuite about an unpaid payday loan.  when i asked for his number to call him back later, he didn't want to give it to me and asked for my home number.  I finally called him back an hour later and told him I was onto his scam and to leave me alone.

received a call today at work from a "domonic" with a heavy indian accent.  very calm telling me that there was a warrent out for my arrest regarding a payday loan.,  I told him I couldn't talk at work and when I asked for his number to call him back, he didn't want to give it me and said that he wanted my home phone number.  no way.....x

it is a scam and stop calling me. they wont send me a letter showing the money is owed

Scam call - payday loan

I received a call today from a man calling himself Tony Grey (Indian accent), from Central Investigations of Finance (786-477-8958).  He went on to say that I had a outstanding payday loan and there is a serious lawsuit against me (this loan was supposed to be somewhere from 2010-2011). When i told him that I don't have a loan anywhere, he said that i had and it hadn't been paid.  When i asked for paperwork to prove it, he said no, come to court.... i hung up on him!

I received a call today from a Dominic Spencer stating he was from the central investigations regarding and outstanding loan.  I contacted my lawyer and had her to call the number they left at my place of employment.  She called them and asked them to fax the information that had regarding this matter.  The said they would not fax over the information and hung up the phone.  I guess they will not be calling me anymore.

i have been getting the same phone calls from all three numbers.  how do i get these phone calls to stop.  They are constantly calling me at work and on my cell.  now that my cell isn't on they are calling me more at work.

they also use 646-465-8488  call it over and over again..

wow i found this website just now and read your stories and i decided to call him back and i told him he was a fraud and i was reporting him to the Miami police he told me to s*** his*****, i was shocked that a lawyer/business man could say that legally, so im headed to the sheriffs office to file a harassment suit against the b*****d please everyone who has been harassed by this idiot go to your local sheriffs office and sue this mean man

So they have called my business line and now I am really mad. How do they get this information? This is scary. I called them 4 times to reach someone to let them know I am going to file a law suit if they continue to contact me. The person who called me is Tony andhte number left is 786-477-8958

I've received at least 4 calls today from a "0000" number.  The caller, in his last unanswered call leaves a voicemail message identifying himself as Tony Grey (heavy Indian accent).  He goes on about my having some very serious lawsuits against me and not to ignore his message.  He leaves the following call back number:  786-477-8958.  So what do I do this evening, I call the number back.  First I get a voicemail.  I hang up and immediately call back and lo and behold, a child answers.  Business number my a**!!!   This is a serious scam . . . . people beware.  I swear if they call tomorrow, they will get a bucket full of cuss words.

I had the same idiot calling me with the same BS! It didn't take long to figure out Mr.Spencer or whatever name he goes by from Central Investigation of Finance was a SCAM! People beware and don't fall for it!!! He should really find a better hobby...

Yeah, same here, the way i knew they were a scam is because any lawyer/law group is unable to give away any details about why they wish to speak with you. They can only tell the person who isn't you (i.e. a reference or family member) who they are and that they are trying to get in touch with you. My friend called me with a name and that the person was calling because I had a supposed fraud lawsuit against me.

When I talked to the individual I deliberately was rude and hateful to see if (like a lawyer) he could keep a calm composure. When I asked for an actual notice in the mail or proof that he was indeed a lawyer, he got mad at me and said "Bring your a** down to Miami into the court house for your trial and I will show you that I'm a real lawyer." and also that "He would send me nothing except for police to my house.". Not exactly something a lawyer would say.

He's obviously a scam, phishing info off of payday loan databases and websites. Beware. The same guy also, uses the phone number 916-395-0000.

And btw, thanks a bunch magic jack for giving these guys disposable telephone numbers. I  greatly appreciate it.
