Just got a call from this number.  He said he was with Microsoft, then handed me over to his supervisor.  This guy wanted me to get into my computer and go to places he directed me to.  I acted like I was doing what he wanted.  Just wanted to see where this was going.  I told him I needed call him back when it was a good time for me, could not get a phone # from him.

I continue to get a call from this number as well.  I refuse to answer any number I am not familiar with.  These are very annoying and there must be a way to stop these predators!  How do they get our telephone numbers anyway???  Who is the marketing snitch releasing our private information??  What happened to the the "DO NOT CALL registration??? Let's figure out a way to stop this. Mad in Arizona, USA.

They called me and wanted to remote into my computer - They are to be crazy to think that I would let anyone that I didn't now remote into my computer - THIS IS A SCAM! DO NOT let anyone remote into your computer unless you know who they are and what they are going to do

Read about the your-PC-is-infected scam here http://news.softpedia.com/news/Cold-Call-Tech ... on-150170.shtml They lie about your PC sending out malware, error messages, etc., and say your PC is about to crash to frighten you into giving them remote control of your PC to fix the nonexistent problem (don't let them!). If they ask you to open the systems tab in eventvwr.msc to see all the errors, these harmless errors are *normal* for any Windows PC (mine has several and it runs just fine). Don't let them take control of your PC because they can download *real* malware, possibly a malware suite, that can spam, steal bank logins and personal info, etc. If they've remoted into your PC, the safest fix is to re-format your drive and re-install your OS assuming you have clean backups of your data. You can try scanning with various antivirus software but scanning may not find all the malware. If you don't know how, get help from friends or pay a local shop to do it. THIS IS A SCAM.

Yeah I just got the call and thank god I searched it up before answering it. Thank you for telling me who they and what they do.

Had the same thing happen to me. First time they called I told them to call back when my husband got home. This was over  week ago and just :30 minutes ago they called again. This time I conferenced my husband in and he had them call on his cell so that he could talk to them. Since my husband is a computer IT guy. He started to ask him some questions and when he was not making sense. My husband said that when the guy named Alex started to refuse to answer my husbands questions. Alex hung up. My husband says that if you receive this kind of call again. Tell them that since they are starting to bug you that you will fill harsment charges against them if the call you back.

Just got a call from 788-703-4257. I answered, said hello twice then there was a beep and a recording that said 'good bye'. Wonder what that beep was for. Could someone infect my iphone?

I got a call from same# 703703-4257, when I answered it was dead, then a recorded message said thank you & hung-up! I Googled the area code, its not a valid area code for US or Canada. Just be aware

Same goes for me. I asked how they got my info and they hung up. Watch your back!

I received a call from 7887034257 as well. I answered and the system replied some non sensical message and then disconnected. I did not recognize the area code, so I googled it and found this... What ever they are doing at this number it is illegal.

I received a call from 788-703-4257 and a woman with an eastern Indian accent who seemed so nice told me that our computer had a virus and she was  calling for Microsoft.  I asked
"How can you tell if our computer has a virus?" She rattled something off and was very polite.  I asked her to call back when my husband came home but she never did.

Just rec'd a call from this #, a man with a strong Indian accent said he was with Microsoft, and continued talking which I did not understand most of. I asked him just he got my number (my cell number in fact) and he hung up. I tried to call the # right back and it does not rec calls....isn't that interesting!

I just got the same call from 788-703-4257,on 11-22-2011 ...I told them I didn't know what they were talking about and I was not interested .. Beware of this

This person called me from 788-703-4257, he said that he was with a company the work for "Micosoft"  and that there was some virus going around and "Micosoft" hired his company to put a block on my computer. Then he asked me to go to my computer. I told him to call me back because I was not at home. He agreed to call me back but he did not call back.
