The same is happening with me and I haven't applied for a car loan. These people call from so many different numbers multiple times a day.

This number among others has called me several times a day recently. It is an auto-dialer from some company in, as near as i can tell, some middle eastern country. One time i answered and it was a man who barely spoke english telling me my payday loan was approved and another occasion was a different man with the same thick accent about a car loan, neither of which had i actually applied for. As soon as i say i made no such application, they hang up without even the slightest hesitation. They give you no chance to find out where they got your info from. Is there anything i can do to protect myself from this?

My car was broken into Sunday and personal items stolen. Ever since then, I've received NUMEROUS calls not just from this number but others about a loan app being submitted. It's fraudulent so be warned you guys. This is for payday loans.

I missed two calls from this number at 1:49pm (central time). I just answered one at 3:54pm. The best way to describe the noise on the other end was like a new video slot machine from a casino...then it hung up. What the heck is this?

Update: i have now received 15 calls from this number in 2 days .... when i pick up and ask him to stop calling it hangs up on me .... when i call back it says the number is not correct .....

Called today at 1:07 PM. Asked for me; my husband said I wasn't home, a man with a thick Indian accent said he was calling to tell me my car loan was approved.
I didn't apply for a car loan.

getting calls from this number and it doesn't leave any messages... 796 area code apparently doesn't exist. must be some auto-dialer
