A message was left on my voicemail AT WORK from a Simon Phelps with Imperial Research.  Also referring to something about my credit card balance being out of control and to URGENTLY call him back at 800-210-3613.

I got this same message on my cell one evening, asking me to call 800-210-3613.  Caller ID shows the number as 231-732-2409.

William Park, 800-709-0214....imperative that I call back that i qualify for the debt reduction allownace programs.  Now my husband and I have credit cards, but they are very much UNDER control. But i called that number back and It ended up giving me a number to call to direct me to local singles.  I just hope they dont catch someoone off guard that is having a hard time with credit card debt, and they dont know better to research it first

Collecting various reports spotted at this website, it seems that numerous posters here report receiving calls which contain phrases such as:

"Frank Thomas with City Point Express at 1-800-717-8057"

"Sam Abbott with Executive Direct Solutions at 1-800-693-7119"

"Chris St. James with Broadcom at 1-800-210-2892"

"Linden Hall with Channel Docs Information at 1-800-210-2731"

"Simon Phelps with Imperial Research at 800-210-3613"

The calls are almost identical (and in some cases it is obvious that one person is using numerous aliases), and all contain a phrase similar to "credit card balances and the minimum payments which [are/aren't] going up", with the words "[are/aren't]" always slurred.  Bizarre.

Two interesting suggestions I've seen at this website: (1) all these calls originate from a shady collection agency, possibly called Lib Management, Inc.  (2) this represents the latest "Nigerian scam".  Some of you might have seen recent news stories saying that up to one fourth of the population of China have received spams in the past few days via their cell phones.  Whatever the true explanation, one thing seems certain: a criminal gang is at work here.

Recorded message (man's voice) left on my unlisted home phone voice mail:

"This is Simon Phelps with Imperial Research at 800-210-3613.  I am calling regarding your credit card balances and the minimum payments that are going out.  It is IMPERATIVE that you call me back.  You now qualify for the Debt Reduction Allowance Program.  Again, my name is Simon Phelps and my phone number is 800-210-3613, and it is IMPERATIVE that you give me a call."

According to this website, this call actually originated from LIB Management, Inc., or perhaps Lucre, Inc., which is apparently a collection agency.  I have received a number of very similar recorded messages left on my voice mail (unlisted home phone) by persons misrepresenting themselves as "Chris St. James with Broadcom" and "Lyndon Hall with Channel Docs Information", which apparently also originate from LIB Management, Inc.  Since I do not in fact have any credit card debt, it is possible that these callers are trying to harrass someone else entirely.  It is also possible that these calls are even more deceptive than it appears from we have said here.  It is striking that the false personal names and company names adopted by LIB Management, Inc., appear to be designed to encourage variant spellings, although I am not sure what "benefit" that could have to this collection agency.

I get the same phone call message from Chris St. James of Broadcom.
He said that I am qualified for a debt reduction allowance program.
He leaves a phone number to call 1.800.210.2892
He calls me at work and home - several times a week.

This is the worst kind of sales tactic. One designed to frighten people who are worried about the balance on their credit card(s). What makes me so irate about "Simon" and "Imperial Research" (whatever that is) is that he will call my home phone several times in a row and NOT leave a message on the answering machine until the fourth or fifth time he calls. I often screen my calls on my home phone because I do not want to speak to salespeople. This person (company??) is full of um, baloney and I wish I knew how to get him in trouble for harassment. I only have one credit card and I don't have credit card debt, so it's is easy to see how bogus his rude, annoying phone tactics are.

I actually just called 800-210-3613, and got a message that the number is not in service.  So, I tried again and an automated system answered saying,
"You've reached Imperial Research, your call will be transferred to the next available agent momentarily. If you wish to be removed from any of our lists, please press 1, otherwise your call will be transferred."
Well, I pressed "1" and waited for a moment, thinking I would get an automated response, and a man came on the line saying
"Financial Services, how may I help you?"
I asked to be removed from their list and he was very nice and said no problem, have a nice day, etc.
So, if you have a problem with the 1-800-210-3613 not being in service, just try it back and see if you can get through. If someone hangs up on you, I suggest calling back and maybe you will get someone else. I'm not saying this company isn't running a scam of some sort, but the guy I talked to was polite.
Now the true test is whether or not they stop calling.

Voice message left on my machine with a frequency of at least 1x/week- sometimes more- is a recorded message that states "This is Simon Felps with Imperial Research at 8002103613, calling regarding your credit balances and the minimum payments that are going up. It is imperative that you call me back. You now qualify for the debt reduction allowances program. Again my name is Simon Felps and my phone number is 8002103613 and it is imperitive that you give me a call."  
It would not annoy me so much if this call didn't come early in the mornings or late in the evenings.  I do not have the luxury of turning off my ringer b/c of my employment.
Actually, as I am reviewing my caller ID, I notice that I received a call from 2x in one day- 1st time @14:43, 2nd time @ 19:02.
The called ID said the same thing both times, but on the 2nd call, the last 4 digits of the number were "1771" (as opposed to "1782")
I read in a previously submitted report that this is possibly a Canadian Company. If this is true, does anyone know if there is anything that can be done about this? Help!

This person (Simon Phelps), has call me over and over during the last two weeks. He refers about debts that I DO NOT have...... SCAM!

look out for these numbers too, (800)210-2935 and (201)215-1779. The same caller as listed above, Conner Jenkins left a message stating it imperitive that I call reguarding a debt reduction allowance program on minimum payments that will be going up, ect... He also claimed to be calling from Data Comm Research. I did a google on this company and they provide research reports not debt help so I think they are using a false company name as I see in posts above they called themselves something else. I received about 10 calls before this one and asked to be removed from the list twice, but was hung up on.

I recieved a call form a guy called Conner Jekins from a group called Datacomm Research??  His message had me thinking I was really having serious peroblems with my credit.  Something about the call didn't seem right since I was paying off my credit and only have two credit issues that I am working on.  I did not apreciate the manner or the urgency in the voice of the caller he almost made me believe that something was very wrong with my credit

I received a call from 800-210-3613 at 8:55 PM.  The name given was Simon Phelps from Imperial Research and claimed it was "imperative" I call because I qualify for debt relief.  The number he dialed is the an emergency medical line for a health clinic.  I hope his stupid call didn't block someone who needed emergency care from dialing through.

The guy said his name was Simon Phelps (or Feltz, I'm not sure) and that he was with Emperial Research, that it was "imperative" that I call him back immediately, that I qualify for "debt reduction allowance program" and again, that it was "imperative" that I call him back immediately. I tried calling the number back (and even pressing 1 as described in a previous post) in order to be removed from the call list but there was a strange message indicating that the number wasn't in service or something to that effect. The call was scary to me. I wish I knew how to report this jerk so he can't call me again.

The caller sounded so urgent- I was afraid that maybe my debt was really out of control... or maybe there was inaccurate information somewhere. So glad I did a search on the number.....

I wonder if he knows the amount of my credit card debt, since he says I'm now eligible for debt reduction. I will probably pay it down, so he won't call me again!

He has called us every sunday am at 8:30 this time he has misrepresented himself as calling in regards to credit card debt. Kinda odd since we have no credit cards! Comes under LIB management 616-980-2417 and requests you call 800-210-3613

I received a call from 800-210-3613 as well.  The name given was Simon Phelphs from Imperial Research.
