It is Allstate. I called my agent and told him how many calls I was getting from this number - at least 4 a day. He was appalled and was very sorry, and said he'd get me off the list. I haven't had a call since.

Someone from this number called me a few times, but they never leave a message.  We have Allstate home and auto insurance and I see here that this number is from Allstate, so I guess it is Allstate.  I'm not sure what they want since they never leave messages.

I got call from 800-230-8508 on April 22, 2013 at 7:34 PM on my cell phone. Caller ID was blank. No message was left.I have Allstate, but if they or anyone else thinks I am answering any call that ID's blank they are pretty frecking stupid. Hopefully they are not so dumb as not to have their company name ID.

I got a call from 800-230-8508 on my cell phone. No name showed up on ID. They left no message. Don't amaswe as it is some bull$hit call of so sort.

They call almost daily and I do not answer any call from an 800 number I only pick up if there is a name of the caller.  I went to Allstate webside and posted my complaint.  What good will it do?  Maybe nothing, but I feel like I did something.

I received a third call on my cell phone from this number this morning.  No message was left.  I called the number and a recording answered.  The recording indicated it was a call from "my All State agent" thanking me for my business.  The fact that we have never used All State nor are we currently using All State appears to be irrelevant.  

The recording also indicated that I could leave my name and phone number to be placed on the Do Not Call list but it could take up to 30 days for it to become effective.

A so-called representative called my cell number asking for my wife. The representative's name was Tagari. She was asking if my wife can speak on the phone. Allstate has my wife's number. Then I asked to stop calling this number and that she sounded suspicious. She quickly hung up the phone. When I called the number back it went to an automated voice mail. Don't pick up.

I received a call from this number today @ 19.18 Eastern time. I did not answer.

I did answer and the guy asked for me by name.  I confirmed that was my name then he said he was from All State and that the call would be recorded.  I never said another word.  He went on about how they appreciate my business and asked if I wanted to leave a message for my agent.  I said nothing.  He politely said "ok have a nice day" and hung up.
Weird.

That number is Allstate Insurance as of today at least (5/30/2012)

Same as others.  Called around 3:40.  Didn't answer it and they didn't leave a message.  Must not be too important then.
