Wells Fargo has contacted you through a 3rd party calling center.
The people contacting you do not work FOR Wells Fargo, but for a company simply hired by Wells Fargo to contact you.

Due to your Established Business Relationship (EBR) with Wells Fargo,
they are legally authorized to contact you by any means, (directly or through a 3rd party company) and for many reasons (within Telephone Consumer Protection Act [TCPA] regulations). Promotional offers are one of those reasons.

Everybody has different banking/insurance needs, so for your "convenience"
Wells Fargo partners with insurance companies such as Central States Indemnity Co. of Omaha (CSI) 1-800-260-9883(WF)/1-888-668-6839(US) (the second CSI number is for U.S. Bancorp customers) and Federal Insurance Company 1-877-439-8553(WF); to assemble many different policies to potentially meet the needs of a wide range of customers.

These offers are on the "powers that be" or "corporate" side of things, so Mr. Dingy McTeller at your local branch will know nothing about this plan, making it seem fraudulent. However, these offers are more solid than the ones you can get at the branch.

Please keep in mind that if you ask to be removed from the calling list, you will be; and when a new promotion arises, your number will be generated again. To end this, all you have to do is contact Wells Fargo directly and express your desire to be added to Wells Fargo's internal do not call list. You must actually say the words "PUT ME ON YOUR DO NOT CALL LIST".

The contact company works on an automatic dialer so they never actually know your phone number, and the employees don't pick who they call. Sometimes the dialer goes slightly faster than the screen that the representative views, this also why you may be disconnected upon answering. There are no account or card numbers involved on their end as well.

These calls are 100% legal, legit, and always taken too seriously. Everything these people say, Wells Fargo has commissioned. This is all authorized by Wells Fargo.

Next time they call you, be courteous to the fact that they are only doing what they are paid to do for a living in this hard economy, THEIR JOB. They will work with you if you are nice about it and ask questions; if you just get angry, shout and then hang up, they are required to schedule a callback.

Plus, wouldn't you feel silly to know that they are probably sitting there with the phone on mute, laughing at you while getting so angry over the phone? Remember, yelling makes it difficult for you to relay your input because yelling on the phone makes you sound like "WUVVVVVWUVVVWUUUUUUVVVVWWWUUUUVVVVWUVVVVWUVVUUWVVUVV!!!"
so they have to call you back =)

They call several times a day.  When I call them, a machine answers "Central States Indemnity"...a representative of Wells Fargo.  I've asked them to stop calling.  They don't.  I'll call the state attorney general's office on Monday.

We have logged this phone number for 6 months straight. They call everyday between 9:30am-10:30am. We don't have caller ID so we answer the phone and every single time it gives us a loud screaching sound and disconnects. Not once have be gotten a connection. So, finally I tried star 69 and it gave me the phone number. It wouldn't connect through star 69 so I manually dialed it and it connected us to a company in Omaha, NE that says they have no idea why they are connected to this phone number. I've read many posts on various sites and it seems that the call originates from Wells Fargo but somehow when you call the number back this "other" company answers. They said there is nothing they can do about it. It's all automated. Apparently Wells Fargo has an automated service that calls. My next step is to get in touch with Wells Fargo. We too are on the do not call list, but I was informed that telemarketers & large corporations can get around the list or simply ignore it. Nice....where are we living?

Second time they have called. Both times I opted to ignore and let my machine pick up. Neither time a message was left. Next time I guess I will go ahead and pick up to see if I can get this to stop. I have no interest in dealing with anything doing with wells fargo or anything of the sort. If I want to talk to people about my money I will contact them as opposed to some stranger who probably doesn't even know my name lol xoxoxo

I wasn't home to get the call that came in a little before 10:00 this morning.  My caller ID screen showed 800-260-9883 and just said 800 Services.  I have voicemail but the caller did not leave a message.  I checked the number on line and found the above information.  My mortgage is not through Wells Fargo and, yes I am on the Do Not Call List.  Is Wells Fargo taking action against these folks?

I, have been inundated with calls from this number.  Cannot return the call as the number does not exist.  Thanks to technology for this form of communication (ie internet) between  victims  and predators.  I know what I will do based on this on-line information.  Get rid of all and any accounts from Wells Fargo Bank.  That with all their influence should be able to correct this invasion of our privacy.  As with the last response to this site “thanks to this site & the information from all of you.  Goodbye “Toll Free Numbers” on caller ID.

They just called about 15 minutes ago. My husband picked up, but no one replied to his repeated greetings of hello. Not sure what is going on. If they are trying to scam me why don't they speak when they get a live person? Just wish that the Do Not Call list actually meant something lol. Till next time...hehe (because we all know ther  will be a next time) lol

Hi, I barely received a call from this company and a lady named Maria Valderrama was trying to get a hold of my dad who has an account with Wells Fargo. I tried to find out the reason as to why she was calling my dad but she was reluctant to provide any information. I did get the number and it was 1(800) 260-9893. I Googled up the number and found this page which provided more informtation on this telemarketer or scam call. I strongly believe that Wells Fargo should look into this type of fraud since they are using their name to commint the scam, unless they are involved in this. Well, thaks for the info and I will try to let my dad know that this company is taking $20 from people's accounts so could be careful.

The name of this company is called Central States Indemnity (CSI). They are an insurance company that is supposed to help you financially when you are unemployed. They charge you 20.80 a month for this policy. I talked to a representative from this company explaining that I don't remember ever signing up for this policy. According to them, all they needed for a signature to apply was my date of birth. If you somehow accidentally signed up for this and would like to cancel you can either call this number during their office hours and request a cancellation letter that you must sign and send back. I think it's funny though that all they need for you to sign up (for this "strict" policy) is a date of birth and to cancel it's a huge process of signing papers. Absolutely ridiculous. Here is a link for their website: https://www.csidirect.com/

yea my boyfriend got screwed by these guys. they kept calling his house and his mom would ask for a message. they hang up. they called and he answered the phone. they told him about the extra cash program and said to send him a brochure. well they sent him an envelope confirming that he was signed up for it and it was 'signed' from the VP of wells fargo: Robert Dudacek, Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.  but anyways. my boyfriend went to the bank, said some company signed him for some insurance thing and he didnt authorize it. bank said okay, we'll watch your account to make sure it doesnt happen.....BULL SH*T! the Extra Cash company withdrew $ two times making him overdraft. he asked the bank if they had any idea they said no. I came home and googled the number. found this site and a bunch of others but thats it. not official website. But here's the catch. Robert Dudacek is really the VP of wells fargo(he is in CALIFORNIA), and the other company that is involved with Extra cash is Central States Indemnity(omaha NEBRASKA). sooo i googled CSI....the company is real, they actually offer an Extra Cash program..but the phone number is 888-668-6839....the fraud number is 800-260-9883. so this WHOLE thing is a HUUUUGGGEEEE SCAAMMM!!! do not use wells fargo or the Extra cash program!!!
