Yes, it is a number associated with the AOL services, BUT... I inquired with AOL about getting calls "into" my online voicemail from this number and I was informed by AOL that it is NOT a number that makes calls "out", but can ONLY "receive" INCOMING calls 'to' this number. Yet, I repeatedly get calls "to" my number "from" this number. However, through being subjected to being stalked and by having my privacy invaded for over four years now, I have had to learn the very hard way, just how far another person will go and by the seemingly bizarre and considered to be by most, impossible methods such a person will use, including making calls to me by USING OTHER NUMBERS, "including my own number TO my own number". What many are not aware of is that just like the identities of computers can be "spoofed" (the actual/true identity is being concealed), so can the identities of a caller be. Try complaining about being subjected to having your privacy invaded, and you could then become the subject of bullying by a group of individuals (mobbing) SUPPORTING the stalker, believing that "I" am the wrongdoer, while the stalking person continues to get away with the stalking by tampering with and eavesdropping on my phone AND accessing my computer via the same phone (dial-up) AND also defiling my name all across the Internet. This is all said with PLENTY of data and supporting evidence directly implicating my stalker, which I have had to collect and document to substantiate what I've been put through.

These people are relentless, Mary calls from Ron Kennedy's office twice a day, doesn't ask for anybody but tells you to call Ron Kennedy b/c he's only in the office until 7pm. This is out and out debt collection of the highest order.  They call from 800-265-1234 , 877,591,0433 and 999-999-9999.  When you call your put on hold and told to wait for the next representative, when the call is picked up, they ask what number your called from.  The sad part is, they are asking for my X-husband whom I've been divorced from since 2003.   Obviously skip tracing!    The first women I talked to was very nasty and called me a b***h when I told her it was skip tracing and that I'd report her to the FTC.  When I called back and asked for a supervisor and told her name was Terra,  I told her I would report to the FTC, if the number was not removed from the system immediately.  Now we all know that Terra was probably a made up name, they all do it in debt collection.    We will see.

sorry for the above comment, called number and found out that its aol call alert system , if anyone has that , then you will understand what it does , if you dont actually it is also a very good instrument for blocking or being able to id phone calls when you are on the computer and it gives you a miriad of options that you can use for example, tells person callin that you will call them back, that you dont reconize the number, leave a message , all kinds of things its very useful , please look into it if you are an aol user
