800-279-1783

I got this call even I don't have debt.
I had Verizon from my former employer. When I left I transferred that phone to my account without knowing there was a long term contract. When I got the first bill, I noticed at the bottom of the paper saying if I stop the contract, the fee is $170. I call Verizon right away to express my concern about the contract. They won't care and very rude to me. So I paid all phone bill and cancelled service without paying $170. From then on, I got three different debt collector companies to either mail me or call me. I keep disputing to tell them I don't owe any money (never owe any penny in my history). 800-279-1783 is the recent call. I called back to dispute but they won't let me.
Don't be scared by those debt collectors. They are usually rude, trying to threaten you to ruin your credits to send you to court. Just stay calm and nicely dispute via phone or send them email. Keep your own records and recording the conversation. Should they bring to court, you won't lose. In my case, it takes them way more than $170 to bring me to court, not even mentioning they don't have a contract without my signature. They cannot damage my credit either since I have outstanding credit score.

Every weekday we get a call from this number. I answer and no one is there. It just hangs up. I have tried not saying anything and they stay on longer and then hang up.

I went to the IC Systems web site and got a different number. I was told that it's regarding Verizon and an unpaid debt. I did get a call from the same company a few weeks ago. When the machine answered, they left a message. The message was for the former owners of our home. I told them this and thought everything was cleared up. I just sat on hold with them FOREVER and had to hang up. The next time they call, I will let my machine pick up and get the "secret" number and call that. Good Lord....

They called my parent's house in CANADA looking for my husbands deceased father. I live in TEXAS.
My parents never even met my father-in-law. And how this company got my PARENT'S phone number in CANADA in relation to my passed father-in-law is beyond me! I've never used my parent's phone number for anything. The ONLY way they could have gotten that number is by looking at our phone records to see who we've called. That is the SOLE place my parent's number would show up.
Someone said something about it being Verizon? We have verizon and so did my father-in-law. Do you think they're calling the phone numbers on our phone bill????

They called me using some kind of computerized system. When I answer the call the system keep telling me " please wait, I'm trying to connect you, Are there? And lot of bul****t. Then some one asked for me. And told me that I owe some money to Verizon. I asked them to send me the bill from Verizon or letter from your collection department so i can pay the bill. they keep telling me, " we send you the bill". I told them, I haven't received any so please send another one. I also asked them about my address and they have wrong address.

Just got a call, the recorded voice said she was trying to connect my call and to please hold. I figured it was a collect call or something so I just hung up. That's the first time an 800 number has ever called me..

IC Systems
According to the web... a collection agency. Probably for Verizon, whom I dumped.

I'm getting at least one call a day and no message nor person who answers. A pause then hangup. Now I see who it is from this site. My father died in June and had a Verizon bill. Verizon was notified when the first bill came that he was deceased. Now they are after me. I talked w/ the Clerk of Courts in FL where he died and was told I was not responsible for it. He died intestate and no assets so they are wasting their time now. It is #1800 279-1783. I will be checking my credit reports soon.

Same thing here, they never answer and call all day since I left for Comcast. Caller ID says 800 service. Send me a letter and quit
calling. Maybe this is why I switched-you are a pain in the butt.

Calling with a block # and never left a message, finally they decided to call without blocking their #. So I called them back and got in their a$$. Told them that I can too setup a computer to call their 800 # and make it busy all night long, that I too can play games. They were looking for some other name and I have had this phone number for a year and a 1/2 now.

ACTUALLY I am a Registered Nurse and have been for 2 years! I never once worked for IC SYSTEM at all! How dare you accuse me of that! If ya'll are so worried about what these people are saying on the phone then do not answer and send a written cease and desist letter! Just stop talk bad about people who you don't even know! These people are probably tring to feed and shelter their families. Thank you!
| earl 2008-10-11 00:29:26 Unknown |
yaya--you work for them !!! Please take my advice little girl and get the rest of your education. Think about it, you don't want to be working for $7.00 per hour forever --do you? Plus pretending to be something you're not.

actually i have worked with ic when i had a debt owed and i talked to a very nice young lady..she was very helpful you actually have to be nice to people and they will respect you!!!!

I was at my friends house when we got a call from IC Systems. Basically it was my friends son's girlfriend who got the call about another friend of ours. They wouldn't give any information except it was a collection and they were IC systems. It was just wierd that they would call our friends sons girlfriend who has no connection to the person they were calling about. When we tried to get information from them they said they were not obligated to give us that information. As from prev comments it seems they go through phone bills and get a number on your freqent dialed list. Then they harrass other people. Very strange and now how most collection agencys work.

Calls every morning as 8:55 AM and no one ever answers
| carol 2008-08-14 22:08:20 Unknown |
called, got answering machine saying they were "ic systems".
called, got voice recording "ur call is important, please hold for the next available representative" for 18 MINUTES, then they hung up!
someone else said it was Verizon collecting a past due debt.
This number called a different country, looking for a man who is deceased. This man was in no relation to the house the 1800 number called in Canada. The 1800 number got the Canadian phone number from our phone bill (probably most frequently called number). The man deceased is my husbands father. The 1800 number is probably looking through our phone bill (deceased father's son) calling the numbers, and asking for the deceased man.
