Just wanted to let anyone interested know that my company has registered this 800 number (800-290-2644) for Agenda Development, LLC.  We create quoting software for business and are not making junk calls or selling insurance.  Guess I should have researched the number before I signed up through Grasshopper.

I keep getting calls from someone?  but their opening line is "attn: power company customers"...thats as far as I get, I can't hear them from then on because I am cussing the s.o.b.'s out!  they call numerous times and some days several times a day, sometimes within a half hour of the last call..each time I hit star 69 and each time they have a different phone number...yes I have turned it in to the no call list....that list is useless as tits on a boar!  I finally decided I would dial the number and I tried two different numbers...a message said, "sorry this person has a voice mail and it is not hooked up yet....byeee"   WTF is that?

I have made several complaints about these types of numbers but the complaints don't work.  these numbers still call.  I dont see how being on the do not call list and making complaints works.  It doesnt for me.

You mention that the calls you have been receiving are from some insurance clearing company. I have recied a call or two (have to look back and see how many times they called me.  I believe they are legit as I have been inauiring about health insurance for a friend who has pre-existing conditions, the most important one a blod clot he got in his leg that fortunately went to his lungs and became pulmonary embolisms--which I think saved his life as he said he could breathe about 10% when he stood up, due to gravity of the flouid in his lungs.  He cannot work (for various other reasons) and had to drop his $500/month health insurance.  So I have been inquiring about health insurance for him that would be more reasonable.

I looked at a lot of websites and a guy at Carrington Discount Dental--both places explaind to me that they are all agents like your State Farm or Allstate.  Carrington has its own website so no more discussion about them.  But the others told me that they are agents who will try to match you with the best policy by comparing different companies and then call you about it.  When I talk to them, I will ask them how they sign up with a company who passes my request to them and then they end up letting you know the offers they have been able to find that match what I said we needed.

Another example of a "clearing house" that I recently signed up for was "Lending Tree" for mortgages to buy a house.  I think that most people have heard of Lending Tree. They said they pass my info on to mortgage company agents and then they get me the 3 best offers.. Kind of the same thing.  Saves you time telling your info over and over.

I am sure that some of these numbers (nor juar this number whichis legiit for me but a nuisance for you and others.  I know that a lot I check out are a nuisance for me, too.  I haven't asked anyone yet how loog they have had a number to see if maybe the calls are made showing and telling to call a # back isn't theirs or for those who have said here that they just got a new # and people are calling it constantly because maybe they think they are calling the number of the person who had the phone # before.  I can't comment on the comments above in which it was said that no one talks when called back or you only g e a "busy" signal.  I just know that this # is legit for me.  Good luck to the rest of you.

Telemarketer
This company has been calling my home for more than two months now.  I have never contacted them for any reason in the past and do not wish to conduct business with them.  I have asked them several times to remove my name from their calling list and they said that they would, but the calls are still coming in at a minimum of five (5) calls per day.  I am very angry with these people and I have told them that I am on the National Do Not Call Registry, but that means nothing to them. I believe that the company goes by the name of Omny Group LLC .

Something everyone might want to try.Don't know if this will work on a cell phoneor a touch screen phone. have not tried it yet. This will for sure work if you have a land line phone. When 800-290-5898 calls you,you pick up,if there is silence push the # button fast and numerous times, #################################### I used to get these calls on my landline phone a few years ago and no number would come up,just unavailable.I got an email one time that said if you get calls and you pick up and no one says anything to start pushing the # key fast and many times, chances are it's a computer call and by pushing the # key numerous times it will mess up their  computer system calling you.I tried it and sure enough I did not get anymore calls where no one was just silent on the other end. As I said before I do not know if it will work if you have a touch screen cell phone. From the posts I've been reading a lot of people have said when they do answer the phone no one talks. Worth a try,I think I will try it the next time these pests call me. Good luck and if anyone tries it and it works let us know.

22 calls in the past 48 hours.  I am a day sleeper. Finally called the number back.  It is some sort of insurance clearing house.  I informed them that I would be filing a formal complaint with the AG's office if I received another call.

Telemarketer
This company is a COMPLETE phony. There IS no company called Yourinsuranceresults.com, or thier new monkier Yourinsurancerequests.com (due to people finding an address to write to on the previous site). These are just shell websites that are created to steal your information and generate leads. These "fake" companies are run out of another scamming company called autocricket.com which is owned by a guy named "Jason Brian". This outfit operates out of 155 E Blue Heron Blvd, Riviera Beach, Florida. These people are what is called "lead generators" they purchase your information extremely cheaply (beacuse it was probably YEARS ago when you requested the info), they call you and get you to agree, then they sell your information at a much higher price to other companies whom also will call you. They hire poor/destitute employees at a decent wage "promoised" bonuses and lie to thier employees about what they will be doing but many of them feel trapped because they have no other options. This "company" does NOTHING more than buy and sell your information, they actually provide no services other than annoyment. After doing some research, and talking to some of thier employees I have found the following names as principles in the company: Jason Brian, president/owner. Lorry Brian HR (Jason's mother) Chris Slitch Manager Donny Chandar partner. Thier direct phone number is 561-449-2700. I found out all of this information because my girlfriend worked their recently and then quit when she found out about all the bs they were doing. Just ask them leading questions and see how quickly they fumble, pass the buck, and hang up on you.

I called this number and I never identified myself to them. All I said was I do not know who you are what you ant but you have called over and over and over again and I want it to stop. I said you do not leave a message on my voice mail and if you were important you would. I let them know of all these comments and complaints on this blog.I have no clue who they are or what they want but I also informed the of all the tracking on every call they have made to me and that my next move was to seek legal action to stop them. He said that he did not know who he was talking to. I said exactly that I did not know who they were either and did not care who they were, what they wanted. I see some one else posted who the number is attached to. I have never done business with that company or its subsidiary's. One more and I will start a class action suit and invite every one to join in.

I never answer this number except to just hang up on them. If the caller has something worth anything to say they would leave a message but they never do.

This is incorrect. The Do Not Call Registry only take note of your complaint. They do not act on it at all unless there is a major, major case against one robo calling telemarketer.

Furthermore and most importantly, these people claim that you contacted them regarding some insurance information, If you did, they are free to contact you with offer and calls because you gave them 'permission'.

It is loophole in the DNC legislation that was written by the telemarketing industry and passed as law. The FCC is suggesting new and improved regulations that would close this loophole. Nevertheless, as you can imagine the robo callers are delaying the new regulations as much as they can.

The best way to close down this shady industry is not to write complaints on the Internet or even call the FTC with a complaint: The best way is to call your representative/senator and complain demanding the new FCC rules be activated soon.

I have managed to get rid of the offender by consistent complaints to the BBB, the attorney general of the state the work from and other law enforcement agencies. Most of them have done nothing, absolutely nothing because I am the only one to attack the offenders directly, I guess.

However, after no longer calling from the previous 800 numbers they used, the robo callers switched to the above number
I will shut them down on this one as well. As soon as I have time to open the gates of hell upon them again.

So, quit griping in useless Internet messages. Get started bombarding the FTC, FCC, the local BBB with clear, fact supported complaints. The BBB will eventually become active.
Also, Florida has a Consumer Protection Agency. They work very much like the BBB. And they get action.

The rogue telemarketer works under a number of names and websites, among others yourinsurencerequests.com, yourquoterequest.com and yourinsuranceresults.com to name only a few. there are more.
If you go to any of those websites and enter your zip code and phone number, they got you and you have the calls coming. Even if you just got the phone number and the previous user of the number made the mistake. Beware of any "free" offers of high quality consumer products. If you attempt to get one of the 'free' laptops, for example, you will get stung!!!

Get busy.

Been getting phone calls from the same number at least 2X a day.  Recently, I got a new Vonage phone number set up at home & of course it just had to be a recently recycled number.  As a result, several people so happen to be looking for two particular individuals.  They keep asking for a TIFFANY CROSS & a TAMMY DAVIES!  The other people must be desperate in trying to track down this Tiffany and TAMMY.  Or maybe the two are the same individual incognito perhaps? Whatever it is, it's very frustrating.  Obviously those persons don't want to be located, hence they left or moved out of state.  No matter how much I explain to them that I don't have a clue as to who this people are, they still keep calling my phone number.  Hello, why in the world would someone keep the same number if they want to avoid collection agencies or other agencies? Duh.  As my dad use to say, "Slicker than hocker on a door knob."
