Great Fun is a reverse Telemarketer.  That is, you call them via a toll free number, and they sell you a "Plan".  Plans usually sell for approximately $12 to $17 per month.  They promise many benefits, but realistically, few will actually occur.

Great Fun is in some way associated with Shoppers Advantage, another company with  "Plans".  I called to join Shoppers Advantage, and after reviewing the materials they sent, called again to cancel (ie three weeks later).   They never charged me $16.99 for their plan.

But, Great Fun did!  They claimed I was a member of their "Plan".  They were never even mentioned during my two calls to Shoppers Advantage.

Since my bank sends out daily emails of account activity, I spotted this Great Fun "temporary charge" of $16.99 in less than 24 hours.  A quick call to my bank put an end to ALL charges from Great Fun at no cost to me for the service.

I want to add to this record that we just received this telephone number from Grasshopper. We don't want to be confused with any actions from a previous person or company that had that phone number. I will be forced to keep paying $30 to find a number that doesn't come back in Google searches.. .but this so far is the better of them. This has few complaints form the past.

My Company was formed in California as a Limited Liability Company on October 7th, 2013. You can see our status and registration date at the California Secretary of State's website. You can get to it with a Google search.

There is good news: If any of you had a problem from this phone number in the past... that company or person no longer has it. We do. I appreciate your reading this. Have a good day!

They are offering a 40 dollar Walmart Gift Card if you try out their so-called savings program called Buyers Advantage. Called and tried to get the information out of the monkey with a script and found out that it's a company called Trilegiant Corporation -AKA- Cendant Corp -AKA- Great Fun -AKA- Fun Pass -AKA- Everyday Guest -AKA- Access Development -AKA- Dining Access -AKA- Affinion Publishing, LLC -AKA- TLG -AKA- Shoppers Advantage -AKA- TLG*PRIVGRD, and so on and so forth. This company changes names more than I change my underwear, and I change my underwear everyday! Their mailing address is located at P.O. Box 41248, Nashville, TN 37204, but the physical address is located at 100 Connecticut Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06850. These people have been sued in a class-action lawsuit and had to pay out millions, yet here they are, sending out SCAM postcards again. Time to report them to the Attorney General's office.

In Sept a chrge showed up on my Visa Card for 19.99 I called and was told the action was canceled. This month on Oct 1st the same charge is on my account again. You do not have persmission to take any money from my account. I am asking for a full refund of these funds and for the action to be stopped. HOW DID YOU GET MT ACCOUNT INFORMATION TO START WITH? STOP IT!!!!!!!!

I got this same $11.99 problem but from FYE backstage pass. I had called to cancel and they didn't put the cancell through. Same thing -only 2 months refund And fax for the rest. The problem is the fax wont go through to 1 800 964 8115. I plan to contact my banks fraud unit again

I was charged $19.99 by Great Fun which I did not authorize.  I called today and demanded they  delete whatever information they have on me and refund my $19.99.  She was pushing and wanted to tell me about another deal and I told her no.  She continued and I said to her have you ever heard the expression, NO means NO.  She finally shutup and told me she would refund my $19.99, we'll see.  This is the second charge from two different sources on my bank statement this month.  What's going on, I'm definately not one to fall for anything.  All I did was place an order for a $1.99 deal from Keraquine for thinning hair and was told if I was not satisfied to return and I did.

You have to notify your bank and put a stop payment on the transfer and I wouldn't wait too long to do that. Different banks have differing policies.

I notice that my checking account is getting money taken out from: Great Funds and Shoppers Advantage. I call both number and cancel them both. I had to shout at the person on the other line to get them to give me a confirmation number. Both wanted me to wait for my package coming soon and then cancel if I do not want it. I told them to give me my numbers and thats all I wanted. Also I email them with the numbers and told them that I better not get another charge to my account. I'm done with online shopping for awhile. Stay safe everyone.

UPON SEEING A DEBIT FOR 13.99,CALLED THE BANK ,THEN THIS 1-800 NUMBER AND SPOKE TO AN OPERATOR WHO TRANSFERRED ME TO A "HEAD CALL MONITER".THE PERSON WHO SUPPOSEDLY SIGNED UP FOR A GIFT CARD ISN'T EVEN ABLE TO ACCESS HER OWN ACCOUNT. I CALLED  AND A CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE GAVE ME THIS TELEPHONE  1.800.290 8603 TO ASK THEM ABOUT THE $20.00 DISCOUNT OFFER AS A "PARTNER PAGE" OF TICKETMASTER.
BEFORE I CALL TO THE NUMBER, I SEARCHED ON INTERNET TO KNOW WHERE I WAS GOING TO CALL AND I FOUND ALL THIS IMPORTANT COMMENTS. AFTER READING, I CALLED THE NUMBER AND A MACHINE START ASKING ME TO SPELL MY LAST NAME, I DID BUT NOT THE RIGHT ONE, AFTER THAT THE NEXT QUESTION WAS MY ADDRESS AND I HANGED UP,,, I GUESS IN THAT PROCESS, THEY ASK YOU THE CREDIT CARD NUMBER AND YOU SAY IT, YOU GIVE ANSWER TO A MACHINE THAT ASK YOU ALL THIS QUESTIONS.  
WHAT IS  NEXT?   I DONT KNOW BUT THAT MIGHT BE HOW THEY GET YOUR INFORMATION TO BE USE IN THEIR BENEFITS...
i WILL FIND THE NAME OF THE GUY THAT GAVE ME THIS TELEFONE NUMBER TO FOOL ME. HE NEEDS TO BE REPORTED HE KNOW WHATT HE IS DOING.

Great Fun, yeah sure is, when they keep taking money month after month and even when you call to cancel it, it just keeps going.   I ordered a bathing suit online and the customer service person said I could get the shipping charges refunded if I agreed to try this Shoppers Advantage or Great Fun for $1.00 trial period.  However, I did not use either of them on my trip and found that they really were of no advantage to me.  I could get the same discounts from either my AAA or groupon.com or even restraraunt.com.  But try to cancel and they tell you, well for your time please accept this FREE $100 bonus coupon that we will send out while your account is still active.  I said no, but he said no problem, just use them before your next billing and you will at least get something for this months money.   Ha!  The coupons are 4 $25 coupons to be sent in with ANY receipt of purchase during the next 3 months and every 3 months after that for a year--which means they keep charging you for the next year at $16.99 a month to get a $100 total refund!  What a joke.   I wrote them to cancel after I called them and yesterday I found another $16.99 charge on my account.  The customer rep said since I had accepted the coupoons (which I threw in the trash) they had my permission to continue billing me!  It took me 30 minutes to get her to understand I JUST WANTED to CANCEL IT!   I asked to have the charge reversed and she had to speak to her supervisor who then said they would try to reverse the pending charge, but if they could not-----it would be refunded within the next 1-2 billing cycles!  Quick to take the money, slow to give it back, if they even do.   This company has nothing to offer and everything to gain by taking your money month after month and you don't even realize what services you are NOT getting.  Sad way to make a living.  Customer reps are very nice when they think they are gaining your trust and business, but not nice when you are trying to cancel.

Great Fun mis represents themselves.  My wife saw an item advertised and asked me to call and order it for her.  When I called, the tried to sell me a membership for a shopping service which had very discounted products and services.  I declined.  About 3 days later they called my home phone and when my wife answered, they offered the same thing with the promise that "if we didn't like it after reading the information, to simply call and cancel."  I called and told them I wanted to cancel and assumed that was the end.  About 2 months later our bank account was charged $19.99 for Great Fun and $19.99 for Shoppers Advantage.  Since it was 1 day before our deposit was to be made, we only had $15.00 in the bank and resulted in an overdraft charge for each charge submitted or a total of $100.00.  These companies have been called and they have said that they will refund the $19.99.  Shoppers Advantage has said they will send me a $40.00 VISA cand to make up for their overdraft charge and Great Fun has said they will refund the $30.00 overdraft charge.  We shall see what will happen.

NO CALL FROM THEM HOWEVER somehow these folks got my bank # and charge me 14.99 a month since Dec. 2008.  Ive called repeatedly with the promise of refunding this ammount only to be charged again>  The bank tells me only way to stop them is change my close that checking account and open another. I pay 95% of my bills with online debit cards.  besides all the PROBLEMS OF CHANGING THIS ACCOUNT TO A NEW ONE IS JUST ASKING TO MUCH ID RATHER GET THERE ADDRESS AND NOTIFY THEM PER SELF OR LAYWER . no call from these folks, just a $11.99 charge.  How is it that these people aren't being shut down by BBB?  For all the crooks that are being found in the marketplace today, this is one that is upfront about just stealing cash from your bank account.  My personal account is one that I have attempted to secure at all times, appearetly they have better ways to out smart hard working low income people who are just starting out.  I would really like to find where these people operate out of and have the local TV station drop them a visit, like somebody else mentioned, "20-20".  Have Barbara Walters do a quick talk with them.

Same idea here.  They claim I clicked through an ad on Miles Kimball website (which I did not) and tried to convince me since I had already paid for the service why not use it just this month.  I refused and then they tried to sell me "other great services", which I cut them off in mid stream.  I said I wanted the money refunded and they said they had checked my membership and I wasn't eligible for a refund to which I said I would report them to any and every agency I could think of and suddenly she could offer me a refund for 2 months.  Will wiat and see.

I never did get a call from this company. I just noticed 2 charges on one of my credit cards, one from December('08) and one from Janurary ('09)each for $12.99 from a company called "Great Fun" 800-290-8603 in Conneticut.  I called my credit card company and the first person I spoke with told me to just call the 800 number on the statement, complain that I never signed up for anything and the charges should stop and the refund should be issued.  The more I thought about it, I freaked out and called the credit card company back and asked them to please change my credit card number as I had been with them since 1986 and if they would not do that I would pay off the card and cancel my account.  This person that I spoke with got the disputed issue filed with this company and assured me that my credit card was safe.  I told her-hey, someone I did not give my card number to has it and I would still like them to issue me a new account number, please. I do not want the fraud company to pass along the card number they had.She did eventually did say she would fix my account, issue a new credit card number and close the current account.  From what I have read at other sites re this issue, people are told the same thing I was that WE should contact that company, even though sometimes the person you are speaking with does not speak very good english. That that company will take care and issue your refund. FORGET THAT!!!!! PUSH YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY OR BANK TO FIX THIS FOR YOU.  CHANGE YOUR ACCOUTS BEFORE THEY CAN DRAW OUT ANYMORE MONEY!
