My husband received a phone call with an area code 970 Wells Fargo Credit Services. The message was for me and the creepy part is that he just  bought that cellphone and neither him or me have give away the number. They left a message saying that I have a debt???? unknown and to call them back to a 1800 number which it didn't exist cause I called them back. They keep calling with different numbers at any time of the day. We don't have any business with them since they change from Wachovia to Wells Fargo we closed all bank accounts and we never had a credit or loan from them. How they got my husband new cellphone number???.

I always wondered what kind of person could enjoy a job where he/she constantly talks down to people, threatens them with untruths, gets off by making people cry or just plain stresses them out.  Pure evil for sure.

You are  an idiot.  These people, like myself have never had an account with them and have been told they cant remove my number if its not shown as being attached to an account somewhere in their system.  Mine is a business phone and they still call.

Wells Fargo Keeps calling me to get "credit card insurance"! They call like 20 times a day. You would think that saying no thanks (because my Wells Fargo Card has a zero balance... Why protect nothing?)

No they do not just leave you alone, the system is auto computer generated, they will keep calling regardless, because there is no communication between computers!

Message on machine Mon 2/7/12, "Hello, this is Isabella with an important message from Wells Fargo."  Left different number for me to call back "as promptly as possible because this is very important".  I have a W-F Visa card, but pay it off each time I receive a new statement, so I'm not returning their call (which is the first I've ever received from this number, or from anyone identifying as calling for Wells Fargo).

I've been getting calls from a "Sarah" at Wells Fargo in regards to collecting a debt. I don't have any debts with them. I have always made payments (mortgage and credit card) on time. A "Frank" called me at work and started asking all sorts of inappropriate questions to "make sure it was me for my own protection", after a while I hung up on him, it sounded like a fraudulent call.
Has anyone ever seen these numbers?

Talk to them.  Tell them "Martha Yvonne has never had this number.  Apparently she lied about her phone number when she took out that loan.  You have got to stop calling me."

That last sentence is critical.  "You have GOT to stop calling me."  Emphasize the word "got".  Thats how I got rid of them when they were calling my cell looking for Michael the Deadbeat.  It worked.  I only got 1 call for Michael after that.  It was a 3rd party collections company talking like they were Michael's best friend.

Wells Fargo collections continues to call looking for Martha Yvonne.  Does not reside her, has not and never did.

Most annoying.  Calls on Sunday, evenings all times.  Truly treacherous

Keep in mind blocking your caller ID does not work with 800 numbers.   They will still know your number so best to call from a payphone if you can find one.

I got tried of them calling me so I set the selective call forwarding feature on my phone so that it forwards all of their calls to our non-emergency police department number. They can explain to them why they keep harassing me.
I've told them repeatedly that they have the wrong number, I've never had any dealings with wells fargo bank.

Called trying to get me to accept the new Wells Fargo Stage Coach Credit Card.
I have told them I am not interested several times but they won't give up. Mrs. Jane Madison got very rude when I told her I did not want the card. I'm thinking of filing a complaint over her rude comments. I really don't need the abuse !  Stick your Stage Coach where the sun don't shine !!!!

The best thibg to do is not answer any calls from them
Just remember the only thing they can do to collect is to call constantly
They pissed me off so I will not pay them a penny, if they had any balls they would sue me, but they know they have no recourse but to call.

They don't care if you are 5 minutes late, 5 months late, or already paid... they think it's really important that you get reminded 100 times a week that you owe them money.
My advice is to NOT borrow money from them.  There is NOTHING I need so bad that I will ever borrow from them again!
They are the WORST bank I have EVER dealt with!

I have the same problem. Just got this number with my new phone service. I say have some fun with the caller. When they call and ask for someone, say Yep. This is "so and so". Then let them rattle off all the info.

After they get to the "so how did you want to pay today" part of the script, say you do realize that this is not the person you called for right?

LMAO! Works everytime. I haven't gotten another call ever since. That'll teach em to call me and hang up.  :o)

they kept calling for 2 weeks our company number and we got it 2 weeks ago.  they kept calling even after i told them yesterday to take it out i had to call customer service

I work for a large real estate company.  Receive several calls daily from this number.  When I answer, I get a hang-up.

It is Wells Fargo.  When you call the number, they won’t immediately answer, and it doesn’t actually ring.  The computer is attempting to find the number you are calling from so that it can look up your account, prior to an actual human getting on the line.  It would be best if you were to call, to call from a phone with blocked or restricted Caller ID.

Also, they call constantly and never leave a message.

It is wells fargo, I had one day 17 phone calls.....and of course no message on my machine.  They state it is an "automatic dialer" and they have no control on how many times it tries to call.

my fax machine is being dialed many times a day by 800 322-9782. It is a nuisance, and information from GOOGLE  identifies your number as Wells Fargo. please have this nuisance stopped.

they call me about 10 times a day and they start early in the morning. When I ask why they are calling so much asking for another person, who I dont even know, they act really rude and never tell me what company their from or what their name is.

I receive 10-12 calls from this company a day they did identify they were wells fargo calling for Clara.  I explained to them time and time again I don't know Clara, but they continue to call.  I am reporting them to the state of florida consumer complaints office.

I called them at this number (800) 832-0202 and threatened if they didn't stop, I'm suing for my cell phone bill to be paid and harrassment!!  We'll see what happens.

maybe just pay your bills? thats an idea. then they dont call.

OR if it actually is a wrong #... stay on the phone... explain to the person the situation ....instead of being a jerk and sounding like a total moron.  if you are rude and curse at them they are going to think you are lying... DUH!

so be a decent human and act like an adult... that should take care of the problem.
