I found a $27.00 charge on my VISA. Called this # (shown on statement).They answer very politely. It turned out to be a bona fide transaction, a subscription renewal to Money Magazine.

I received a card through mail headed "Customer Service."  It said my request was being given priority attention.......If we may contact us at our special toll-free service number: 1800-330-0378.

Being skeptical about the card, I looked up the number on-line, rather than dialing it.

They had my full address on the card.

I called the number on my credit card statement to find out about a charge from TWX Subscriber Service. It
was my Southern Living subscription. The company processes a lot of different magazine's online subscriptions InStyle ,Southern Living  etc. They are a subscription management company. They need to at least but the name of the magazine with the credit charge summery.

We just had two such charges on a business VISA card, for subscriptions to popular magazines to which we had never previously subscribed.  Both charges were unauthorized.  I do not think we got a call first. They were billed as follows:

TWX*Subscriber Service ($19.95) and TWX*Fortune Magazine ($10.00)

Does anyone know who reads these posts, and what good they do us?  Thanks!

It was for my People Magazine renewal.

Chill with the language but yeah you have a right to be mad. But its good business for a company to not imply charges you did not approve or notify you. It should sort itself lout and also your bank can dispute the charge. Remember, nothing is free.

I was charged 58 dollars from people magazine over a year after I signed up for a free trial and which I. Never received and did not authorize the c harge. I called them and they said they would not let the chargehit my account. Of course it did anyway. I spoke to a customer service named noah. It just so happenened that I did not have a lot of extra money in my account and now I have 6 dollars to get through two weeks. I have a family to support and we are in a mess. Ordered Cooking Light through Time.  This is the charge for it.

I believe this could be for any Time Warner magazine subscription. There are quite a few.

This is how they charge any offers you accept for publications such as 'Real Simple'  'Prevention/ and the like from email or snail mail solicitations for 'deals' usually offered to "Time Warner employees and their families"

I looked this up here via Google when I saw the charge on my Visa card this morning and as I read the first few responses, it hit me what cost 19.95 was Real Simple. . .At least that morning mystery was solved :)

This credit card charge must be for special offer for magazine subscriptions.

Its a magazine subscription service.  I was billed because I extended my people magazine subscription.

Mine was a renewal charge for Real Simple magazine

A $30.00 charge appeared on my April 18/11 Visa Statement.
It was unauthorized.
When I phoned the 1-800-330-0378 number,an automated message said that their system "had a problem" & I should call back again.
I am having VISA cancel that charge as it was not authorized.

Sports Illustrated renewal also.

I called that # and spoke to someone and found out it was an auto renewal I did for People magazine, that they bill you every 6 months. No problems at all.

Also for Sports Illustrated.  As someone else stated if you have a magazine subscription on auto-renew it could be what the charge is for.  I called the number and they looked up the account and it was correct.  It just show up as TWX on your statement.

# shows up on an unauthorized debit card transaction. Have had to cancel card and them reissues

Money magazine uses TWX for internet subscriptions using the same phone number.

It must be for other magazine subscriptions because I don't subscribe to InStyle or Entertainment Weekly.
Maybe Prevention magazine because I have that on auto renewal.

"subscriber services 800-330-0378" is for InStyle Magazine and their counterparts - it is a charge for ordering a magazine subscription
