calls often

They call 3-4 times a day, even though my business voicemail picks up, they continue to call...even on Sunday and late at night!

This is a shady group posing as a breast cancer research organization, but they are not affiliated AT ALL with any legitimate cancer research organization.  They got my mother's name somehow - my mother, who suffers from dementia, lives with us - and call for her in spite of my repeated requests that they cease.  To harrass a confused, elderly woman into sending them money by lying about what they do is both criminal and obscene, IMO.

Calls late at night. Another scam. Have to take the phone off the hook at night so I can get some sleep.

Called multiple times in one day, although there was never anyone on the other line when we pick up.  We do have a Telezapper...

These guys say they are viet nam vets looking for donations, I really doubt it. They keep soliciting my 87 year old mother with dementia.Creeps!

When I call the number a recording says it is an invalid number. This is very annoying as I get calls from this number at least 3 times a day everyday.

I received two calls from this number in an hour and a half. No answer either time.

12-23-09 7:30 p.m.  I just got a call from this outfit!  The next call from them will be blocked.  I've had the same problem with unwanted calls so, I bought a phone with "Callblock".  The phone rings onetime and then disconnects.  It's great!!!

go to fcc.gov and file a complaint

The more I don't call back, the more calls I receive.  I do NOT want to donate.  Please stop calling.

this people call my house over and over for months, any time in the day they call, it is very, very anoying and they want a donation to the breast cancer, i told them not to call and they still call, and i can't report them to the do not call list because is an 800 number.. make them stop.

They have called my number up to 5 times a day for almost 2 months even though I don't answer.  If you get a call from Breast Cancer Society - hang up and don't even talk to them.

I'm Afraid responding to them in any way, especially agreeing to & sending $$ just encourages them. They then know they have a live sucker on the line.  I think the only way to actually deal with these calls is make the whole process illegal.  "legitimate" telemarketers will protest and lobby against this (they have plenty of resources as they get 60 to 80% or more of funds they collect even for real non-profits or political campaigns) but it's my phone their using. I pay for it and I don't need to have it tied up with shady deals and scams.

They call over and over.  Now when they call I just take the phone off the hook and set it down. Soon I'll hear a little voice saying "Hello, hello?".
I'll just waste their time since they keep wasting mine.

They call constantly. It is harrassment!
Isn't there a law against this kind of harrassment?

Called about 504PM 1/24/09 and left a message---repeated my wife's name as thoug it were someone in trouble.

1-800-347-2956 is for some shady agency posing as a breast cancer research organization, but it has nothing to do with a legitimate cancer research organization at all.  They got my mother's name somehow (she's living with us, is quite elderly, and suffers from dementia) and they keep calling for her.  I've asked them REPEATEDLY to stop calling, but they still call and still ask for her.  To try and solicit funds from a helpless, mentally incapacitated woman time after time must be some kind of crime.  Next time they call, they get the airhorn.

get a VOIP or other carrier that offers a way to block numbers...
e.g. I'm a customer of phonepower.com and they have a web interface of all calls and then I can "block" numbers. This one feature alone is worth a switch... savings are decent too.

Actually I just found a way to block them on my phone by NUMBER. Call you phone company or look it up on line. I found it under call acceptance/rejection and typed the number in. Won't have to worry about them calling me 6 times a day like they did today!!!!!

people keep calling and calling and calling. Breast Cancer Society......I made a pledge and actually sent my check in, but they just keep calling and calling.

now i'm getting calls thanking me. i guess this is some sort of contribution to someone running for office. shoud be illigal.

I get at least one call a day, when i call back it says invalid number, the next time they call they use a different number. They refuse to actually talk to anyone and say why they are calling. They laugh when i say i am on the do not call list and to not call again. How can i stop this?
