They have your credit card / check card number. I just had to change my check card number with the bank. I am sure that is the email you used when ordering flowers four years ago.

Ok on GEEKS.COM site the Freeshipping.com window that pops up can not be closed as the close button does not work and the web page does not allow you to move the window out of the way or to get to the order form as the Freeshipping.com offer blocks any further access.
This is quite deliberate fraud on the Geeks.com website and when I reported this they did not fix it.
So I went to some other web sites that also offer Freeshipping.com and guess what many do this also.
Freeshipping.com has many complaintes well earned for being deceptive and hiding behind a legit facade.

Does anyone know where this Easy Saver Co is?? The phone prefix is a WA state one. I spent time some years ago contacting a Del. "company" that did the same exact thing to my mother's bank acct. I then contacted/wrote the state district attorney, and tho didn't hear what happened, at least they were busted.

I will never ever order from ProFlowers again.  I used to order from them all the time, until they allowed this scam to happen.  I was able to finally get most of my money back.  These companies are shooting themselves in the foot by doing this, because they are getting bad reputations from former customers.  I ordered from an online catalog company this evening, and the same scammy ad popped up.  A full page ad with a picture of lots of brown paper wrapped boxes all over it,  and a giant coupon in the middle, and said to click here for a shipping rebate.  I exited out of it, and there was the order confirmation page of the order I had just placed, and there was another button just under the order confirmed statement.  It said to click here for  the free shipping rebate.  I, instead clicked on the "continue shopping" button which took me back to their home page.  Nowhere did it say click here to be charged every month for a service you don't want.   I called the catalog company to make sure they would not let this company scam me pout of any money, so I hope they recorded the call, in case I do get scammed.  I paid with my VISA debit card, so I wonder about taking an extra precaution, and cancelling it, and getting a new one, or will that actually do any good?  Can they get around that if I indeed am going to be a victim of them again?  So, Bob, whether or not people can or will read everything on a web page is beside the point.  Scammers will do anything it takes to get our hard earned money from us.  And shame on you if you work for these scammers.

It is best to generate new set of credit card numbers with near expiration dates to use when making purchases. In that way the information you gave them expires before make spurious withdrawals from your account.

Pat, you are right. These companies' only business is to rip people off. Just like some car dealerships like Joe Myers. All they do is scam, deceive unsuspecting consumers. Every body in there from the least to all the managers/executives. They operate a cult like environment with agenda to rip off consumers.
In general, what I do when making purchases with possibility of scheduled withdrawals is to generate a new set of credit card numbers with a very close expiration date sometimes to expire the very next week. I did same for XM radio & a gym membership. In that way I do not have to be calling them to cancel nothing because once my card expires they cant get money no more. It is called Safe Purchase numbers or something like that. Now the companies call me but I dont answer.

It's not just ProFlowers...I have been looking into this & they use several different company names but it's all the same company . My husband said "NO" to all of the "special offers" he was asked to try when he was ordering something to help him stop smoking. Yet we have still been charged anywhere from $1.95 to $19.95 by several "companies." American Leisure, Easy Saver, & Shop Es Plus who are all part of the same company. Another unsatisfied "member" (who like us did not know they were members) gave this address & phone number saying in her research she found out that this is the company who has been billing us under different names. So lets let these people know what we think of them!!!!!

I didn't actually receive any calls from this number, but...

I placed an order with ProFlowers in Feburary of 2009, and haven't used their service since (though I get way too many email promotions from them). I do remember something about signing up for a $15 shipping rebate, but there was no mention of a third-party program, a 30-day trial membership, or a monthly fee. I'm also not one to look closely at my credit card statement, and when I *did* take more than a glance at it a few months ago, I assumed "easy saver" was some sort of account protection program. Now that it's tax time, however, I'm looking back over the whole year and realizing just how far back these charges go.

So I did a little research and found out about this third-party membership nonsense. I took the suggestion of someone who posted on this thread earlier and called ProFlowers first at 1-800-580-2913 to see what the deal is. From what I've read from people who have fought with Easy Saver directly, calling ProFlowers instead seems to be much, much easier - Kristen, the customer service rep I spoke with, was very nice, and offered to call Easy Saver for me while I was on hold to cancel my "membership" and have the charges refunded. In five minutes she was able to get the initial $1.95 fee, plus 12 fees of $14.95 (one per month since Feb 2009) refunded to my credit card. She even gave me a confirmation number and told me I should see the refund on my card within 1-2 billing cycles.

So we'll see! I'm going to call my credit card company to see if I can flag easy saver as a charge that should never go on my account. I'll post again in a couple months so everyone knows whether or not this was, in fact, successful.

I was receiving $50 every 12 weeks as a credit for participation in a wellness program , to a debit card.  I bought flowers from Proflowers, and got an e-mail to "claim" a 15% discount coupon.  Two months later I check the balance on the debit card and Easy Savers has debitted $14.99 twice,  These bandits would taken $48 for every $50 I could put on the card!  There was never a mention on anywebpage of enrolling with EasySavers, or the $15 billing.  I called 800-355-1837 and cancelled, and after calling it a billing scam, and mentioning it's illegal in California, the operator offered to refund the debits.  I'll never do business with ProFlowers again.

I checked my bank account today, to see which recurring charges I had that needed to be moved to my new card (new expiration date). That's when I found this Easy Saver 1-800-355-1837 MD 14.95 recurring charge....I bought those flowers from Pro Flowers in MAY!!!! So now I'm going to see how to get the money back.. of course they aren't open on weekends, so I'll call tomorrow? Monday? This better get resolved. I never even got a $15 off coupon, I said no to that option, because I DID read the fine print. Although, as some others have said, I did ask for a email when the flowers were delivered. This is ridiculous. I will definitely file a complaint. They don't need my hard-earned money!!

Victoria,

I think that advice was really good. I called and canceled my card right away without knowing what the charge was. I also wanted to dispute the charges with the bank and they said I had to call Easy Saver, so I did. I called and they said they would put the money back on my old card (card no longer active). Wanted me to give them my new card number (yeah right). Called the bank again and basically, I have to eat the $14.95 now.

I'm not that mad because I did use the $15.00 coupon.  So I guess it evens out.

I don't know who's worse, ProFlowers or Wamu (CHASE).

I will be opening a new bank acct else where. Bet they will regret my withdrawal of $25,000.00 and the closing of my acct for a lousy $14.95.

Just wanted to say to those unlucky ones that were caught up in this scam, it happened to me and really sucks.

When I first noticed a one time charge of $14.95 I took action right away. It was pending on my acct and I called Easy Saver right away and they refunded my money. I then canceled my credit card and got another one to make sure these theives didn't try it again.

I hope this helps others that catch the charge on time and best luck to all.

I ordered from ProFlower because my professor was very sick in the hospital and one person in my dept said that ProFlower was good. I think the flowers were fine, but I started being charged 1.95 and 14.95. Thanks God. I googled the phone number and found all these complaints. I called my credit card company to dispute the charges and also call 800-355-1837 to cancel my membership. If it comes back again. I will call my credit card company to dispute any charges from Easy saver and probably have to cancel that credit card. It is terrrible experience.

My experience with proflowers and their scam bedfellow, easysave, was the same as almost all of the above. I never willingly pushed a button to allow charges from my account.  I did have to argue a little with someone but they did refund 4 months worth plus the $1.95.  Why has this continued to happen to so many?  If it is illegal why does it take some kind of law suit to stop it?

charges were made  by pro flowers.  I would never do business with this company again, very deceptive marketing on their web site if you give them your email the rep tells you that it enrolls you in the program.  I would never have signed up for this program,  After speaking to rep  and told me they would only refund for 2 months, that was not satisfactory for me. I was transfered to supervisor, explained how I felt and then was told they would refund me the 6 months charges were on my account.  The company makes it difficult to receive satisfaction regarding this manner.  DO NOT DO BUSSINESS WITH PROFLOWERS BEWARE

You clicked a check box that said "give me 15.00 off coupon and sign me up for this service"

They trick you by telling you to save money.

this is a scam company associated with PRO Flowers, if you enter a email address saying you want to be notified when your flowers are delivered you are "signed up" for this scam. and $14.95 will be withdrawn from your account. You have to be nasty and diligent to get this processed stopped.

easy saver and pro flowers are running a SCAM - don't ever do bus. with any company that is associated with either one of these operations.

Same thing happened here.  Someone who is authorized to use our company charge bought flowers from PROFLOWERS & sent them out of state to two locations, and the charges just kept coming...$14.95 one month & 14.95 the next from Easy Saver 800-355-1837.  We figured out what was happening by finding this page when we searched the info on the bill ie Easy Saver 800-355-1837

It in relation to proflowers.com.  EASYSAVER is a rewards program that is supposed to offer discounts.  You will first notice a problem when $1.95 is charged, followed by $14.95.  If you call the number that is listed on your bank statement and complain, they will return the money.  Tell them that you didn't sign up for any savings program, I am sure the get the calls all the time because she was quick to rectify the situation.

Warn everyone you know NOT to buy flowers from Proflowers.com.  Pro Flowers is selling/sharing customer credit card numbers to 3rd parties who are charging anywhere from $1.95 to $99.95 per month for scam ProFlowers-related memberships.  I just got off the phone with my bank, disputing the charges.  They charge under different company names hoping people will miss it.  “Easy Saver” is the most prominent.

I just finished filling out and printing online State Attorney General and BBB complaint forms against Pro Flowers for each occurance.
