These people called my 86 year old mother had her scared to death about her warranty on her car. She told them she didn't have money to pay for an extended warranty on a car that is hardly ever driven and the guy was rude and told her go ahead and don't take the warranty and when you are out and break down on the side of the road you will wish then that you had taken the warranty especially if something happens to you while you are broke down.  This is uncalled for it is a scare tactic to try and get money from her. I have placed my mothers number on the Federal Do Not Call list and apparently these people are exempt from this list.

Yeah I got suckered into this also, when my vehicle broke down and I needed to use the warranty, they made up some excuse.  The car dealer and I both tried for several days to get them to answer their phone at 800-376-5688 and they only have the recording, which we both left several messages.  The recording ends up saying Chris, no matter what number you press.  I have turned them into the Better Business Bureau and am canceling the monthly payment with the bank.  would love to find out how to get our money back.

Have you had any success with this?  I have been ripped off by these people also and am interested in joining in on a class action lawsuit.

They call me alot.  There was a story about these people on CNN today and what a scam they are.  If so many people have reported them to the National Do Not Call Registry, why are they still getting away with this?

I can't believe they get paid for every minute they spend on the phone.. if no one is buying in on their scam, how can they afford to pay these people.

I love wasting their time too.. making them feel like they're going to get a sale.  Start by giving them a false VIN number and go from there.  Make a fun game out of it until they're shut down.

I filed an FCC complaint against Warranty Solutions, the company that keeps calling my cell phone every day.

It goes:
"This is your second warning that your automobile warranty is almost us...to reactivate it to protect you against the cost of repairs. If you have not responded to this notification, it's not too late. Please don't make the mistake of driving without a warranty. You are still eligible to reactivate warranty coverage. This is the final call before we close the file. Press one to speak with a representative now about your vehicle. Press two to be removed from the follow up list."

I requested twice to be removed and they keep calling.

your company needs to make money otherwise they will not be able to keep paying you, so if enough people waste your time you will not be able to be scam people efficently, hence putting the company out of bussiness.

You are so right. The solution to the telemarketing problem is really with the people who buy. Stop buying and the calls will stop because it is not a good way to sell.

Like you, I maintain a list of callers who I will not buy from. I have even phoned them back to tell them I purchased a competitors product as a result of their telemarketing. Whenever I purchase merchandise or services I get confirmation they do not and will not start telemarketing. It seems to work.

Com'on ya'll!  Please, please, PLEASE don't buy ANYTHING from ANYONE who calls you without you asking them to!  You know, if noone would buy, they wouldn't make money through their scams!  In fact, I have a standing policy that even if a REPUTABLE company calls me to try to sell me something when I have not asked them to call goes on my permanent "I'll never buy from them" list.  I tell them as much too.  It's a horrible business model in today's market full of consumer choice.

These guys called me tonight too.  Instinctively, I didn't fall for the "press 2" lie...figured it wouldn't work.  I pressed one, waited to talk to a sales person, got his name, company name, supervisor's name, and contact info.  I then told them that I have never done business with them, never asked for a call, am currently on the Federal Do Not Call list, and they should remove me from all their call lists and never call me again.  They confirmed my number and said I was removed.  I've documented the call, and if they call me again, I will take action.

they called saying it was our last chance to renew the warranty on our car and then when we signed up we were no longer able to get someone on the phone, they were not supposed to take the money out of my account but they did and they took a credit card number from a minor, some guy named Brian Brown with extension # 1650, told us when we signed up that we could call him back at that to cancel but he has yet to return a phone call, and its annoying that the only way someone will answer there phone is if u sign up after that its like they dont exist.

Automotive Warranty Services, or "AWS" of Boca Raton, Florida.  I played along with their script until I could get the phone number and company name.  I was told to call "Tina" back at 800-376-5688 extension 1632.  They ignore if you press "2" to be taken off their list.  Please visit https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx and file a complaint whenever these a**holes call!

I get regular calls from them.  Same story -- I requested to be dropped from list, and my work number is on the Registry.  Usually hang up, but decided to mess with rep last night for about 30 minutes.  For 10 minutes of that, I had her on hold.  Today they think they have a fish on the hook so the rep keeps calling back.  She's trying to reach "Ted Roosevelt."  I'm going to break her heart next time she calls.  In the future, I'll just hang up when I don't have time and mess with them when I do until the Feds find these clowns.

I received a lot of phone calls on my home phone as well as cell phone regarding warranty expiration on my vehicle. Usually i just hang up as soon as i hear annoying message, today i got to talk to them. So representative Anthony, who's ext.1624 informed me that they are selling United Car Care Warranty and he is working for automotive warranty solutions. It's very annoying that they call everyday and if you try to tell them enough, remove me from your list, they just hang up on you! I tried to followed their direction:"Dial 2 to be removed from our list", but it doesn't work! How did I get on their list? And how to stop them! What are f***ing parasites!

These people called me today and stated that my warranty on my call was almost expired, but odly they didn't even know what kind of car I had. They wanted me to pay a $395 down and then $111.39 a month.  It sounded good and then I told them I would call back next week. After doing research it is Automoitve Warranty Solutions.  He told me to call him back next week at 8/376-5688 ext 1618 his name was Bob.  I cannot believe that so many people are out to take your hard earned money.  What goes around comes around.   I do not give out my credit card or bank info out over the phone.

I have received numerous calls from these people.  I'm also on the Federal Do Not Call List.  I pretended to be interested to get their name and number.  The company name is "Automotive Warranty Solutions".  You can call the 800-376-5688 number, press 5, and get a live person to take you off their call list.  We'll see if it helps.  If not, I'll be filing a complaint.

These people calling me and playing their recorded messages. So, I decided to take up as much of their time as I possibly could. They won't stop calling but at least I am having some fun giving them bizarre answers to their questions.  THis is good for about 15 minutes of their time.
