I received this same message and went to the site. Here's the domain registrar information about the site (which references a "Fiveland Linkage Inc." company whose site is at 222.187.221.188 or www.ipillion.com). I think complaining to www.name-servers.com is a good place to start - hopefully that will get their site(s) shut down for usage violations:

800-380-9643 / 408-830-6153 Scam! Unsolicited unwanted phone text originating from Sunnyvale California Metro PCS Inc.
Scammers bogus website: 123moneynow.Inc
Here you are supposed to be able to unsubscribe, contact, and call an 800 number to find out how they got your number. Of course none of then work, there is no contact info and the 800# is not in service!
| irishlass 2010-08-13 18:55:43 Unknown |
This company sends text messages to me with the number 778-93 as call back number, on one text it was for www.1stcheckAvance.com, with customer service number of 800-380-9643
On another text it was for www.CashUSA101.com, with 702-684-4052 number in the text.
On two other text messages it was for a secret shopper wanted ads with the number 866-749-1238.
This company obviously has multiple scams running and are hiding the true number with 778-93, I am going to report them as well as contact Verizon Wireless to see if and how I can block any further unwanted/illegal text messages from them.
Thanks for the info Andy!

text from 317-717-6024
texted back "stop" to unsubscribe & then got online to start reporting them. called the 800 # for the original subscribe info as Ginni suggests. it assumes the phone you're calling from is the # you want unsubscribed & info for & says it will send a text within 48 hrs with the info. i called from landline so then had to call from mobile. now will have paid for 1 mobile call & 3 texts grrr!

I received one of these payday loan texts for the first time yesterday. It happened immediately after I let my friend borrow my phone to call his student loan provider and bank (BofA or Chase, not sure). Unless this is an amazing coincidence, the loan provider or the bank must have provided my number to them.

THEY SUCK - I am also on the Federal DNC registry! A lot of good that does for a Chinese company!
| Ginni 2010-08-10 06:06:23 Telemarketer |
I received a unsolicited text message offering a payday loan up to $1,500 at www.1stcheckadvance.com/?N07fg for instant approval.
After reporting the company to the DNC registry, I replied with a text message to remove my number, and I also visited www.1stcheckadvance.com. I accessed the 'Contact Us' tab, and want to share the information they have posted at their website.
At the very bottom of the webpage, under "Unsubscribe Information" they have the following information posted.
"You can unsubscribe here, or reply stop anytime from your mobile phone. We understand that sometimes you forget how you became subscribed to Whisper text alerts, as a courtesy for our subscribers you can UNSUBSCRIBE & receive the information on where and how you subscribed by calling Whisper Text Alerts compliance department TOLL FREE 1-800-380-9643."
They are offering to provide the information about how and where we subscribed to receive 'Whisper Text Alerts' by calling the 800 number. I'm going to call the toll free number to receive this information so I can include it in my complaint to the Do Not Call Registry, and suggest everyone else do so too.
I never willfully signed up to receive any whisper text alerts ever, and if I am on a list, I was tricked into it and want to be removed immediately.
The more people who file complaints, the faster we will receive a response, so please follow up and COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN!
Thank You

Found this little ditty on there stupid website. They seem to have a lot of BS about keeping the information they stole a secret from others who may desire to buy/purchase your online identity.

They get your number by calling every number in every prefix. Sooner or later they find a desperate sucker. These guys are the lowest form of human beings.

I did not reply as this will verify they have reached a "live" number and then sell it.

Another one as you guys have been dealing with. " 1stcheckadvance.com " another quick cash scenario. I too am on the DNC registry and I hope all of you report this. These jerks will have to pay us if the Government can follow through. At least we wont make it easy for these #$$*^"!#$ people.
If I get e-mail spam or text spam I use the return address to sign up for stuff on line. LOL Pay back.

This company does not pay attention to DNC list and will send text to anyone for a price this is not ethical. They will not remove you no matter haw many times you request to be removed. The text was for a company that would do payday loans. Everyone should report them and call the number as many times as you can.

I got a text from them for a payday loan. They said I could visit www.1stCheckAdvance.com or call this number to apply- OR reply with the word 'STOP' to opt out. I am very careful with all my information and also am on the Do Not Call list so this is very aggravating! I replied with the word 'Stop" but will also be following up with my cell phone provider to make sure I do not get signed up for anything.

I am also on the do not call list, yet they violated it and texted me a get out of debt text. I hope someone fines them big for violating the dnc list. I have limited text messages and if they continue, it will cost 25c a text!

I get the feeling that is the origin of a few new spammers that are calling and texting me.

They TEXTED me on my personal cell. I have no idea how they got it because I am very careful with that.
It said reply "stop" or call the number to opt out. Hopefully they will leave me alone, but I also have an ominous feeling that it may have been a ruse and they will charge me a boatload for sending that text message. Ugh! To boot, my number is and has been on the federal DNC registry.
