they called from this # today, only says it's Courtney and to call her back ... doesn't say where she's calling from or why

Just got a call said she was bobby joe.  I told them the person they were asking for was unavailable and they refused to give any info and said they would call back again.  I told them to take me off their list.  Legally if you ask to be removed from a list and receive another call, all you must do is contact the FCC if they call back.  If they are harassing you, do not give them your name until they tell you who they are and what they are calling you about.  If they hold tight to that information, then you ask to be taken off their list.  It is in fact that simple.  If you can't tell me who you are and why you are calling me then stop calling me or face the fury of the fcc

I have a message saying this is the nurse, call me back at this number. Do they think I'm stupid. No nurse of mine would leave an 800 number top call back. Lol

I have received numerous phone calls from this number. They refuse to tell me what company that is calling. And each person that calls is extremely rude.

I also received calls from this number - Med. Rev. - and they are extremely rude!  I had dealings with a man who threatened that because I wasn't going to give him the info he wanted, I was to "expect a summons".  The people that work for this company are ruthless!!!

The gentleman on the line wa svery rude and manipulative in his ways and his bottom line approach of being a "cashcow".

This outfit called me at work... I cannot accept calls at work.

I KEEP GETTING A CALL FROM 973-603-6940. WHEN I ANSWER, THERE IS NO ONE ON THE LINE, THE CALL DISCONNECTS AND WHEN I CALL BACK, IT SAYS THAT THIS NUMBER IS NOT IN SERVICE. ANY IDEAS ON WHAT COMPANY THIS COULD BE?

I used to work for Albert Damian back in the 80's.  They WANTED us to use all the tactics like making believe I was your long lost buddy and have so and so call me back.  They hated me making payment arrangements that were 'too low' for them.  I got in trouble because I actually HELPED the customer (He was a old man who's son broke his nose and he had to pay the hospital bill.  He was on a very tight budget, had barely anyway to pay) I said, Mr.Jones, let me tell you that there is a thing called "Hill Burton" and they will help you pay your bill if not all of it, at least a good portion.  Let me give you their number. He called me back and THANKED me for doing that.  I was let go a couple months later.  I guess I wasn't mean or sly enough.

By the way, what I have learned from them.  Research Public Law #95.  It states that they CANNOT give out any personal information to anyone on the other side of the phone, only to the original debtor.  Also, here is another thing.  Say your bill is $5000.  You go in and make a $5 payment.  They accept it, it's a payment arrangement.  You go in every week and pay them $5 and there is nothing they can do about it.  IF you default on that payment, you're screwed.  We had a woman come into the office with just $2 a week.  The secretary made the 'mistake' of accepting the payment, and they had no choice but to honor it.

They called me and left me a voice mail saying "Hi this is beth i'm calling in regards to a message that was left for you from rene! please call us back." I don't know anyone named rene, and the one girl that i did know i havent talked to in about 2 years. so how is this possible. my husband is going to call them when he gets home. and i'm pretty sure that it's not legal to leave a message like that to "trap" someone, so i'm going to talk to a lawyer. i'm sure they will like that very much! :)

Called just left number, no reason or purpose. very rude. Used deception in lying to say on credit report when report for last 10 years is no entry with this collection.  When requested to not call was rude and unaware of leaglities of my taping their call for BBB lawyer.

"they call 5-8 times a day. for medical bills that our insurance did not cover. I made arrangements with the hospitals to make monthly payments. BOY! did that make them mad.. they insist i cant do that i must send payments to them. well the hospitals say i don't have to!!!! i pd one bill and will start making payments on the others by August 2006. now this bottom feeder says my acct is going to lawyers in my area to sue me. they are nasty and rude people. They left a message at my job saying that there name was Pete and that I had to call him back at 1-800-390-9865
I also got a bill from them for 1535.00 that was from my hospital. I am not to sure if it is bogus or not but I am not sending them any money until I find out if they are a reliable company.

secretary got a call at work.  Man on line only said he was Jean and while I didn't know him, I had given my number to his client.  He went to my voicemail where left a message simply saying this is Jean, call me at 1-800-390-9865.

Similar online search of the number came up with Med-Rev Recoveries with addresses in both Liverpool, NY and Rochester NY.
