You do realize that you are responding to a post made over two years ago, don't you?
Anonymous Coward 2013-05-27 21:44:07 Unknown
Isn't that what this web site is for? Phone number fraud, scam and telemarketer complaints? What do you expect us to do? Praise them for their tactics? Oh I just love answering the phone when people beg me for money! Wish they would call more often!
Troll!

PDR II d/b/a Share is actually owned by IRI in Cambridge, MA. Share Group filed for bankruptcy so they would not be responsible for its debuts while selling off its assets to Integral Resources screwing a lot of vendors of monies due to them where the client had already been billed to clients for materials. PDR II is just as shady as Share Group was and the worst thing is that the States are still allowing them to call while some of these states are owed serious monies.

I receive calls from this number several times a day. I never answer - they never leave a message. This is very annoying. How can I stop them from calling?
Razor's edge 2011-04-19 17:43:30 Unknown
This company has been in business for nearly 20 years. Do you think your babyish complaining is going to have any measurable impact? Boo-hoo.

This number is associated with The Share Group, A.K.A Direct Advantage Marketing. They are a fundraising company that calls for non profit organizations. They just recently got bought out by one Geoffrey P. Loree of the CT Partners or Gloree group. They are no longer and have not been for the last 8 years owned by Jay Fairbrother, that was the founder. They are generally a nice group of people who call, but as they do not cold call they are not required nor do they obey the national do not call list. This is not required of them as when you affiliated yourself with whatever non-profit is calling you, you requested or unknowingly agreed to allow for solicitations. This company calls for over 40 different non-profits. Including but not limited to... all the ones you named int his list, as well as the DNC, DSCC, Habitate for Humanity, and tons more.
If you call them back, and if you leave a number and a name, and request to be taken off their calling list. They will do so. This typically takes 24 hours to cycle, therefor if they called you in the AM, you request not to be called again in the after noon, chances are you will get yet another call from them in the PM, however you should not get anymore the following day.

Actually got a call message from their non-800 number (412-773-8582) identifying themselves as "Donor Services and asking me to leave my name and number for a call-back.

Outreach Associates, Inc. have also called me from the following numbers; they call seven days a week, and I mean every day.
412-773-8572
412-773-8570
412-773-8567
412-773-8566
412-773-8564
412-773-8562
412-773-8558
412-773-8581
412-773-8580
I gave to UNICEF after the Haiti disaster. This is the only entity that could be using Outreach Associates to call me. They call every day. Personally, I am getting a "Caller ID Manager" from http://www.privacycorps.com.
And next time, I'll give to Oxfam or somebody else.

I get calls from this unknown company up to 4 times a day from 6am to 8pm. I have tried every block idea and even went to donotcall.org to register. The calls keep coming. I want to leave a message, but I am afraid I will get charged for something. What are we going to do about this.

I am being harassed by Outreach Associates. Please take my name off your lists.
Ann 2009-12-16 18:58:13 Unknown
This is a company, Direct Advantage Marketing (aka Outreach Associates) that calls on behalf of different charities whom you may have supported in the past. Only 46% the moneies they collect go to the charities, though.
On another website, someone who actually worked in their call center reported dishonest practices -- they were supposed to try and get your credit card number "at all costs" and if you weren't comfortable with that, they'd give you an 800 number where you could supposedly give it "safely." But that number simply went to someone else in the call center.
Please do at least two things to help quash this B.S.
1) Report the number to the FCC and mention the harassment aspects (calling several times a day, using up cell phone minutes, calling late at night, giving the fake "secure" number to get your credit card numbers.
2) Call this company at 412-381-2300. I believe it's option 4 you press to have your number removed from their calling list. The person will be 'VERY POLITE,' which unfortunately pacifies a lot of people. Go along with the politeness, but don't believe it. Just have them remove your number from the list, and be SURE to ask them the charities on whose behalf they're calling you.
THEN -- HERE's PROBABLY THE ONLY THING THAT MIGHT WORK -- CONTACT those charities and state that you absolutely withdraw any support, and will flood the internet with suggestions to others to follow suit, unless and until that charity stops doing business with this harassing fund-raiser. Point out that less than half the monies collected go to the charity anyway, so they may as well just do their own fundraising. Point out that the dishonest, harassing behaviour of reflects VERY BADLY on the charity, and you don't want to be associated with or support anyone who essentially uses strong-armed goons to do their fundraising.
It'll take some effort on our parts, but I believe it's the only way to make ourselves heard. I've been getting calls from Outreach Associates for well over a year. They need to figuratively be taken out and shot!

I worked for this company b4 and it is telefundraising. If you dont answer the phone and say remove me from the list, they will just reload the list and you will be called again and again. If you just say no, they will call you the next time that specific charity comes up. usually a 3 month interval. But they ARE legitimate. The money does go to the charity, and they get paid based on yes or no answers. If yoyu dont want contacted period, tell them remove me from the list. Again if you dont answer and tell them, you WILL be called again and again. They are seeking out that yes or no answer so they get paid.

You need to go to the FCC website to file a complaint; but you also need a NAME of a Company, along with the phone number. Also, make sure your phone numbers are on the National "Do not call" lists. Then these companies can be fined big time for calling your number. The number for the 'do not call' list is 888-382-1222.

they have called non stop on my cell phone, i have called the number back and left messages to stop calling. my next step is going to the police for harassment.

This number keeps showing up on my caller ID. I did call the number back and I left a message on their recorder to put me on the "Do not call list".

Call 412-381-2300 and select option 4, or the link to speak to a supervisor, from the menu. You will be able to speak to someone and have your phone number removed from their list. They were polite and accomodating. Good luck.

I will not give to any non profit organization that refuses to provide basic information. I fully believe that Outreach Associates is a scammer.
Lemur 2008-04-21 00:28:54 Unknown
Have had the harassing calls several times a day for more than ten days now. All 866 numbers, but 11 (eleven) different numbers after that. Nasty stuff. I will be notifying one of my favorite charities, which is on their Washington state list, that they are definitely jeopardizing their fund raising if they are still using Direct Advantage Marketing (i.e. Outreach Associates). A less than 50% pass-through to the charity is appalling. I may try calling the 412 number, but I am hesitant to let them know who I am. I just screen all calls now.

I finally called Outreach Associates at their PA number 412-381-2300, got to a supervisor (it's one of the "options") and got someone to take me off their lists!!! Hopefully this will take. Good luck!

New number, same message: 1-866-640-2797
I've been getting calls around 11:00 PM for the last couple of weeks; since it wasn't a number I recognized I refused to answer. Today I finally called back and was got the "Outreach Associates, we don't have caller ID" message previously mentioned here. I left a voice mail for them to remove me from their call list- we'll see what happens.

Everyone needs to contact the managers at Outreach Associates, also known as Direct Marketing Advantage, and make it easier for people to exclude themselves from being called over and over and over. It is really a form of legal harrassment. There info is below.
Lisa Drane, Vice President of Client Services, has over 14 years of experience in fundraising program management in the non-profit world. Lisa leads our client services and operations efforts and manages client accounts on a daily basis with the support of Mary Ann Gamble, Senior Director of Client Services.
Sheila Hollums, Vice President of the Call Center, oversees the entire calling floor, which includes all of the campaign managers and callers. She has eight years of call center management experience.
They also call using:
866-882-8532
866-573-8960
866-237-9215
866-874-1837

Thanks so your website I know who these people are. Other than writing to each CEO of their non profit clients, I'm not sure what steps we can take. I called their number on at least three occasions to request that my name and number be removed from theri lists, to no avail. THEY ARE NOT a NONPROFIT company and simply saying that they're calling on "behalf" of a nonprofit is doesn;t mean that they should be exempt from any "do not call"
Ron 2007-10-27 00:04:54 Unknown
This is a call from the Democratic Party. (I believe it is legal for political parties to call you at home.)
