What these headhunters are forgetting is that there are many of them, routinely calling the home phone numbers of people who are at work, and routinely disturbing the folks at home and/or routinely leaving long-winded messages.  And they ARE soliciting to sell something:  they are soliciting to sell a therapist to an employer for remuneration paid by that employer.  And some of them get their lists by violating the terms of use of various databases and member directories of professional organizations.

Hi,  I have received calls from Invo.  They provide therapists to work in schools with children with special needs.  I am interested to know about the positions.  If you choose not to hear about the opportunities you can call their office and remove your name from their list.  They are not violating the Do Not Call policy since they are not soliciting to sell anything.

You can buy names and phone numbers from your state speech and hearing association. That is how you get cold calls and flyers

Thie is Invocare offering contract jobs to varoius therapy professionals.  I asked how they got my name and number as I had not contacted them and the person said I don't know".  They must have a list.

Headhunters. Do they buy phone numbers from ASHA or state therapist organizations, or are they just abusing an organization's member directory?  Either way, they leave ridiculously long-winded messages.

Why are these numbers allowed to call when there is a DO NOT CALL registered on my phone number.
