is this a real company? I See so much stuff on them it's hard to know the truth?

Very weird... This number was given to me, from a guy that is suppose to patch my driveway.. He was suppose to show up today, but called me to canceled... After doing a search for him, with this number, this is where I landed.. Yes, it's the same 800 number.. Things that make you go hmmm.. since the last post was from March 25th this year..

Yesterday, the called my cell phone. The called my mother (with whom I haven't lived with for over 20 years) twice. They told my mother the second time (the first time they called they tried to get her to give them a phone number) they said she was required to tell me to call them. I just found out they called my brother and sister-in-law and my sister-in-law's mother's numbers (3 different numbers) yesterday. This is outright harassment. I don't know how they linked my brother and sister-in-law and especially my sister-in-law's mother to me. This all leaves me very suspicious of ARS' credibility and legitimacy.

Wow, yet another illiterate shill.  If you could actually read, you could ascertain that the majority of folks making complaints in this thread are not "debtors".  Instead, they are receiving repeated unwanted calls for someone that does not live with them.  Others have no debts at all.

Its funny to see a bunch of debtors complain that people call to get their money but they werent crying and complaining when they got loans...... if you dont like collections... pay your bills!

They are calling a disabled cop who contacted me and is going to release any personal info he can to them and does not care if it is past the statute of limitations. This is the excuse my family needed to sanction me because of my "history of poor decisions."

I do not have work under the table skills and my former church verified with my family their version and told me to go be with my own kind. I took work in a call center and over 3/4 of the people I worked with have quit or been fired. I've been told my number is up next week. I guess my next call may be to planned suicide.

ARS is a 3rd party collection agency, that means they are collecting on behalf of the original creditor and did not buy the debt. Because ARS works for the original creditor, and the original creditor wants to colllect some thing, ARS is allowd to settle the accounts for less than the full amount. So this is a chance reduce the amount you have to pay to settel the debt. Some times you only have to pay 70%.

This Collection Company calls for Ethyl Evans on my number even though I have had the number for 18 years and am on the do not call list. Several months ago we were swamped with calls from collectors looking for the same person. I can't believe these companies are so stupid as to waste their time calling the wrong number. When I called the number back, Jack Warner pulled the file and told me there was a note on the file not to call my number but Raymond called it anyway.

Having been leaving very rude, nasy messages for my step-daughter that has not lived here in 20 years, since she was 14 years old. She certainly did not give this number as a refernce.  I don't think she even knows it.  I think they did a "People Finder" for any name and number that "might" be connected with her.  A real "class act"....NOT!

called again for my step-daughter - said she "better call immediately"  also received one that even said "if you know what good for you, you'll call"  how threatening can they get???

Voice mail left which asked me to call back  Tom Cole at extension 1350, about an important business matter!!! They had my last name, and Speaker has an accent-not sure from where, know nothing about them, and the fact they do not declare themselves makes it sound suspicious. Interested to see others have got the same call.

I received several calls a day from this numbr telling me very important and to call backIt is probably from a credit card debt we owe since husband has been out of work for over 2 years.

I have been received numerous calls from "Unavailable" "Unknown Number".  A message was left on my machine for someone who has never had this phone number, never lived here or as a matter of fact, never lived in this state.  "Jasmine from ARS National calling for ______ who need to return her call immediately at 888-238-8232 x2436."  Then a call today, which I answered and tried to inform "Jasmine from ARS National" that there is no one here by that name.  She became extremely rude, disrespectful, talked to me like I was stupid ... I told her that I did not want her to ever call this number again.  She informed me that she is going to call this number and keep calling this number until I take a message for the person she is trying to reach.  I hung up on her and then called that number to get an address so that I could send a letter of complaint.  They would not give me their address, nor would they let me talk to a supervisor.  So I made my complaint.  They said the reason they had my number was because the person they were trying to reach had used me as a reference at some point in time.  Excuse me????  I have requested they put me on a "no call list", which I am on a National No Call List and never call this number again.  I have also filed a complaint with the Fair Debt Collection Agency.  These people are sick!  They are just down right evil people!  They have no right to attack people verbally who owe them nothing; just had the unfortunate luck to have been used as a reference by someone at some point in their lives.  It's crazy!!  It's abusive and it needs to stop!!

Young lady called representing this business. She asked if my daughter is a lying b**ch that lied to the bank. Refused to give their name, only called to say this. I mentioned she needed to talk to her mom to learn how to speak to others, and hung up. I believe you owe me $1,000 for calling me...just to say this to me!

Perhaps the company needs a new line of command if the company believes this is the best way to work with people. Your etiquette makes people hang up or steer away.    

With mortgages failing miserably across the country, and people loosing their jobs right and left, do you think this is the approach to inviting someone back...to try harder in catching up on their bills? Do you think this approach will really work...long term? NO!!!

There are acceptable rules of behavior, and this is not one of them. Fire you impolite behavior problem employees. There are too many people without jobs that can do your work in a positive way...and can achieve or excel in the same goals. Etiquette dictates.

She called from 800-456-5053. After I hung up, she called me right back from 618-576-6286, and jumped me about hanging up.

Tyler from this company is an A***OLE and rude F***.....his extension is 111.....he needs customer service training and an attitude adjustment!

Got a call today from ARS.  The person on the other line asked for contact information for my sister.  I would'nt give him the number and hung up.  He proptly called me back started calling my mother names, told me to come to CA and kick his a**.  After a bit he started threatening me, called me a terrorist saying I threatened to blow-up the building.  I have talked to my share of bill collectors but nothing like these guys.  To bad the BBC can't do anything.  ARS hopefully realizes they can't treat non-clients this way and expect full co-operation.  I'm sure the only way they got the number was doing a last name search via town and state.

THIS PERSON CALL MY HOME PHONE ALL THE TIME, EVEN I KEEP TELLING THEM THAT THE PERSON THEY ARE LOOKING FOR IS NOT HERE, BUT THEY STILL KEEP CALLING MY
HOUSE AND THIS BRING UP MY PHONE BILL FOR EVERY TIME I PICKUP THE PHONE TO RECEIVED A CALL.
