I've been receiving calls from this number for quite a while.  I finally decided to call them back.  Several times the number was busy, other times I was hung up on.  I finally talked to a man and managed to tell him that the person they usually ask for does not reside at this number and never has and I do not want to hear from them again.

He said, he'd remove my phone number.  We'll see.  Not holding my breath.

This is a good one.  My fiance filed bankruptcy two weeks ago and the Automatic Stays went out a week ago and we know the creditors received them because we had control letters sent also.  These guys from Enhanced called yesterday and left a message.  I called them back.  I told the young lady that her company was violating a Federal Court order and that if they failed to comply I would have our attorney so advise the court.  She asked me if I thought that they were "Psychic" and said my fiance had to advise them that she had filed Bankruptcy.  I laughed at her and said that I didnt care what she thought.  She hung up on me.  I called back to talk to a supervisor.  They were in a meeting.  So I waited until today, and then called back.  The first guy I told what was going on said that I was threatening them because I told him they were in violation of a Federal Court order.  I said Lemme talk to your boss.  David Crow was the Boss's name and he was the first intelligent and competent person I spoke with at this company.  He asked for our attorney's name and Phone # to confirm the Bankruptcy, apologized for his employees idiocy and held his temper while I vented a little.  I suspect he will not be at this loser company for long.  Do not pay these guys anything.  Their methods are reprehensible.  Tell them that if they call you.  Say, "I acknowledge the debt, but I will not pay your company any money because you are untrustworthy and have a bad reputation."  They will be out of business in a year.  I confirmed that this is definitely Enhanced Recovery Systems, they are located in Jacksonville, Florida

If these guys are legit, then why are they using an auto-dialer?  The telezapper tone they got from me killed them off a little too easily.

They called on my cell phone. (I am on the national do not call list).
When I called back they finally identified themselves and gave a name of and unknown person.  I told them no such person and to remove my number.  Now my voicemail is blocked and my provider is unable to unlock.  I can no longer receive voice messages.

I received a call (actually, an automated call/message on my answering machine while on vacation this week) from this number.  Never a mention of a company name, but was supposedly offering a reduced rate on some sort of loan.  Message was kind of odd.

Funny - we have no outstanding debt except a very small (and 100% current) credit card and one auto loan.  All of which are and always have been on-time.

This call said to press a certain number on your phone to opt out.

Considering that we are on the national "Do Not Call" list, seems that this is a random telemarketing call.  What I have also discovered - the national Do Not Call List is basically worthless. You report telemarketers, but all the FTC does is keep a database.  They do not engage in enforcement.  So what is the point?

These people called & gave me the same message as mentioned by another caller about hang up if it is not you.  The caller id and the call back number did not match.  I called the call back number to try to get myself taken off their list--it referred me to an "enhanced directory assistance" )702 589 9300 that they said would appear as a charge of 3.95 or somesuch on my phone bill.  Needless to say I did not call the number...  Seems like a scam even though they say they are bill collectors.  They also block their caller id name.

I got a call from this number early this morning, and the automated voice mentioned that it was a collection agency trying to reach a specific person.  I didn't understand the name, but the voice said that if I wasn't this person that I should just hang up.  I didn't and kept listening as the voice told me that the person they were trying to reach was overdue on bills and that to learn more information I should call another number during the week.
I used to work for a collection agency and I am aware that some of the rules for collection were broken during this phone call. First of all, they are not allowed to say that this person owes money.  All they are allowed to do is say "This is so-and-so collection agency calling for 'Joe Smith' and he should call back at this number" unless they have confirmation that they are actually speaking to the person with the debt.
Additionally, they are only supposed to continue to call 3 times before declaring the debt un-collectible unless it is over a specified dollar amount, depending on the state.  I have read other peoples' comments saying that this number continued calling for a year.  This is ILLEGAL!

I have also been receiving automated calls from this number - it's been about a month now.  I assumed it was some kind of scam because they never say a name and never say the reference number.

I get calls from ERC (800-459-0781 and also 800-459-0766) every week.  There are probably ways to get them to stop calling, but it's not worth the hassle.  There's a simple no-stress way to ignore these nuisance calls.  Save the number to your cell's phone book, give it an easy-to-recognize name (e.g. "blocked ERC"), and set the ringtone for that number to <none>.  When they call again, your phone won't ring, and the call will be labeled in the "missed calls" list.  Problem solved.

I am keep receiving phone calls every day the past 2 months from this phone number.
When I pick up the phone no one speaks and hangs up.
When I do not pick up the phone they leave a message for some one name "Naper" from "Hansing Corporation" .
I called back to report the call as wrong number but the automated system put me on hold and no representative responded.
Later on when I received my bill payment they charged me $250 just because I was in hold.
Another Phissing "scam" business.

I got my phone about 3 years ago, and have gotten 2-3 calls a week from either this number or another one that leaves close to the same message, always trying to reach the same person, Ramen (?). THREE YEARS!! At first I thought the person who had my number before me had debt issues, but after reading this I'm thinking they got a new phone number after getting sick of these calls! One time, I actually got through to speak to a person, and demanded they stop calling me, and they did for a few months, but a couple of weeks ago they started again...

They've called here asking for my husband by name. It is a relatively common name, but he doesn't owe any body any money. If they ask for you by name, pull your credit report. You can get one free once a year from each of three credit bureaus on annualcreditreport.com. READ the site very carefully as you get your report. Even it has tricks to try to get you to spend money. Go slowly through the webpages and you can get everything you need free. Pull your report so you are sure that no one has stolen your identity.

If you know that you don't owe any money, don't answer the phone when you see a number you don't recognize. Once you start talking to them, they are going to assume that you are the person they are looking for and it is going to be up to you to prove that you are not. NEVER give out any personal information.

Some phones will let you "block" the call so they can't leave a message. My phone lets the call come through, but hangs up immediately when it recognizes the number so it can't even get to voice mail. Check your phone's owner's manual.

BUT as others said NEVER give out your SSN, Date of Birth, address.

These guys start calling everyone with that name hoping to find the right person. Google your name and your state (Joe Doe New York) the first thing you'll see is a list of people with your name and phone numbers. It's what these guys use to start finding people.
