6 calls in one day three calls I picked up to see who is bothering my home, no answer hangs up.. called back message stated its a political call and says they are not exempt from no call listing

The number 1-800-466-4427 called me and I did not answer. The name said: TOLL FREE CALL. I see some people saying the call is from Virginia or Florida. This phone number is probably a number that is rented to someone for a short period of time. I have the old Panasonic phones that you can save the number to the Phonebook and rename it to say Scammer or Scam or Solicitor or Do Not Answer. Unfortunately, I can only save 50 of these unwanted callers. Yes, I am on the Do Not Call list. Advice for people: DO NOT CALL THESE NUMBERS BACK to see who it is. If they are calling random numbers, when you call them back, aren't you giving them permission to call you? After all, they can show in their records that you called them!

Go to http://nomorobo.com/ . I?m not sure if they block political calls, but they sure work great on the unsolicited credit card crap. All you will hear is one ring, and the problem is solved. Anything is worth a try!

10/21 16:39  ID shows as unavailable, message is robo message regarding a phone town meeting tomorrow night being held by VA Democratic party (chairman Chad Griffin) regarding human rights.  Don't know why I am being included since I am in CA.  When tried to return call, message was almost nasty saying basically "we can call anyone because we are a political organization.    jetames solution is wonderful if you don't want any calls, but generally speaking, most of us have phones for communication purposes and we can't block all area codes or zip codes if we live in the real world.  The more practical response is to have a phone with caller ID and not to answer unidentified or unrecognized numbers.

They called again - they were blocked - my Panasonic phone did not even ring.

Life is simple - buy a call blocking phone or device.

A certain way to lose my vote is to annoy me with spam phone calls.

1-800-466-4427.  They did not leave a message but, according to information above on this number, it is a political group.   NO SOLICITATION calls should mean NO political calls, NO charitable organization calls, NO surveys, NO NOTHING unless we are friends or you are returning my call!  Period.  NO SOLICITING!  Exempting these organizations from the NO SOLICITING order, basically gives everybody the ok to call.

Yeah, unions are bad because working class people shouldn't be able to pool their resources together and obtain the kind of clout that can--as a group--ensure a better livelihood for themselves and their families, in a easy that they would not be able to individually, such as a person born into privilege like Mitt Romney.

Three calls. Between 8 and 8:45pm. Never rang long enough for me to actually answer the damn thing. It's one thing to call and actually want to SPEAK TO ME, and another to let it ring once, maybe twice, and simply hang up. What an irritation and waste of time.

Robocall  from The Human Rights Campaign..My guess is that this would be a professional fundraising company, so they are exempt from the do not call list.

I've no idea what a "minior" is, although I'm guessing it's related to the mythical "minotaur."

I just received a call from the Human Rights Campaign through this number, so it's hard to recommend putting a universal block on that number (if that's an option available to you).  I'll tell HRC that maybe they should use a more reputable service that doesn't have the poisoned past of these yahoos.

Received two call from this number this morning.  No message.  Based on previous comments it looks like this number is used repeatedly for political action calls.

Just got a call from this number, and it was HRC calling about a DOMA and Prop 8 "town hall call" that is happening tomorrow.

3 calls 30 min. apart on 6/2/13.  Didn't leave message first time, I checked on here and saw this slew of messages related to the number, so turned the answering machine & ringer off.  And, yeh, if it's political, they are immune from DNC list, and obviously among the worst offenders, since calls were between 7:30 - 9:30 pm.

Now the smucks are using "mayors for gun control"  Caller ID Toll Free...

This telemarketer "Mayors for Immigration Control" called 4 times 5/09, 4 times 5/10.  You would think the FTC would go after these shmucks!!  They never answer.

TWO DAMN CALLS TODAY. From some group having to do with mayors against illegal guns, and the woman named patricia (I think) on the recording alleges she was a survivor (or victim) in Tucson shooting.

This number has called multiple times, sometimes twice in one day.  When I called it back, there is a recording that states it is a political call and does not fall under the No Call laws, then hangs up on you.  It's frustrating!

This is a robo-call message from Mayors Against Illegal Guns.  They call OVER and OVER and OVER.  It doesn't matter if I hang up or let the call be patched through to my Congressmen's offices -- I've contacted the number for the group and left a message to stop calling me, I've gone to their website and left a message to stop calling me.  NOTHING stops it!  Sometimes they call 3 or 4 times in a day, and they call almost every day.  It's making me crazy, but short of disconnecting my phone and getting a new number, I don't know what to do!

The problem is not the phone call itself, the problem is not being able to tell these yahoos exactly how I feel about their political message.  They do not give me a name or contact information so I can tell them I do not support nor condone their political agenda.  It is one thing to spout this tripe to me in my home using my phone but to not allow me to rebut their stupidity and refute their assinine views of reality that really burns me up. If they want to hear my message, then they should also have to listen to mine!
