Everyone is missing the point. Phone numbers can be faked. Just because you got a call does not mean that who is really on the phone. If you owe money, call them out of the phone book. NEVER give out personal information, credit card, or bank information on the phone. You have NO idea who you are talking with.

I got a call from this number on our voicemail from "Willie from FedEx" regarding an overdue invoice. We are on automatic payment so i knew something was up and i verified with FedEx that we were current. No idea what he really wanted.

I get messages left saying to return a call to this number to a Rachel White. There is no other information left but a phone number.

Just so you guys know they are a student loan collection agency who is trying to help you get your overdue accounts caught up to re-enroll in school. They also handle Perkins Loans. I would suggest calling them, they are very helpful!

They are legit. They helped me with a consolidation of my student loans. You got to remember that some people are just not happy when a bill collector calls. I mean who is thrilled to have someone remind you that you owe, especially a big student loan debt?!!! Also instead of researching a phone number why not call the company and find out. Who would make you think they were bogus, the people hidding their identity or the company that is registered and does business with major colleges and universities? Who has more to lose the person hidding behind a fake name or the one who could damage their lively hood? You decide! So in other words the people on this site complaining about a legit company have to be fakes!!!

It is S&S Recovery (www.ssrecovery.net) They tend to deal mostly with colleges and universities regarding student loan payments that are past due.

TREAD CAREFULLY WITH DEBT COLLECTORS - there are Scam collectors (not really collection agencies - but thieves.)out there and legit collectors that violate FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT.
Many have resorted to trying to collect debts that are beyond statute of limitations for your state and they refuse to provide debt validation because they do not have the documentation the debts are so old.
DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY AND DEMAND THAT THE DEBT BE VALIDATED.
IF THEY REFUSE - tell them to refuse is Violation of Federal Law!
You can search on phone numbers for collection agencies on this site
www.budhibbs.com - also an excellent resource for information on how to deal with them...
I entered this phone number and located this information

This phone number is a collection agency. The woman said something like S and S? I spoke to a rude "Miss Kay" who asked me to lie on a federal application! Seems pretty shady to me.
