This is NCO, junk debt collectors and very uneducated employees, just hang up

didn't answer. collection agency for a decades old debt.

kEEP CALLING NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE AND WHEN i DO ANSWER i GET A RECORDING TO STAY ON THE LINE SO I JUST HANG UP THEY CALL ALL HOURS OF THE DAY AND EVENINGS AND ON WEEK-ENDS AND CALL 4 TO 5 TIMES A DAY

I have no debt, yet they call and call, all hours of the day and night.  I am SICK of it.  I NEVER answer and never will.

Hey if we (NCO) leave a message maybe someone will call us back and admit they owe money..Right morons.! I don't owe anyone anything. I agree ..leave us alone

Call once in a while claiming that they wish to collect a debt for Capital One. I've never had a Capital One card, and don't care to (I've heard terrible stories about them in the news and from friends). I tell them this info, and yet they keep calling claiming I owe them.

This phone number continuously calls every single day more than five times each day - there is never an in person message, only a recording and they never state a name of who they are looking for, its usually preceeded by strange noises as if to scare me into calling back... this is not only irritating, but the amount of times that they call per day is simply obscene!!

They call my house every damn for the wrong person starting at 9am even on f*cking weekends

Called. Left computer generated/recorded message with 'reference number' that also sounded computer generated. Requested call back to same number. Not going to answer a 'computer' person.

I have received numerous calls from this collection agency. Some of the calls I received were in violation of the Federal Trade Commission's policies and requirements regarding what practices a collection agency may put in use. I did file numerous complaints with the FTC. I have no outstanding balances on any accounts and no lenders past or present are pursuing such. I would urge all persons to file a formal complaint with the FTC and LEARN YOUR RIGHTS AND THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE CALLING COLLECTION AGENCY!

I get this call way too much! I am sick of this! They never leave a message!

Call at least 3 times per day for the past 2 weeks.  There is no person but only a message.

They are in violation of the Fair Debt Collections Act (FDCPA)..There are actually several violations of the FDCPA here...Here is what you need to do... Report them to the Federal Trade Commission. They have an online form to do this. Report them to your states attorney general...Most states have an online reporting system as well. Keep track of all the times/dates they've called, and each time that you've told them that you are not the person they are looking for. Record the calls if your state allows 'one party recording' Send them a cease and desist communication letter via certified mail. There is a good one on www.budhibbs.com website... Also state, in the letter, that you are NOT the person they are looking for. This should do the trick...if it doesn't, and they keep calling, you will have no choice but to sue them...That's why: 1. you keep track of the number of calls a day, and the conversations, and 2. You sent the letter via certified mail...It gives you the evidence you need to prove of everything...incase you have to file a suit. The next step is to find an attorney...There are great ones at www.naca.net. These attorneys are consumer advocates and will fight for your rights...You can actually get paid by NCO for violating your rights as a consumer

NOTE: I'm not an attorney...I am a consumer woh has had to go down this road and I know it works...

This is absolute harassment, they call atleast 10 times a day for someone who is not me. Not sure whom to report to call to get my number out of the calling list. Any ideas?

Received a 2nd call today (oct 1) at 12:30pm. Both times they left no message.

Received a call at 8:05am. No message left.

ANSWER-----call them back and say take me off your list- they were looking for someone else

Ive received several calls in the past coulple months with the 800-477-3826 number and yes sometimes leaving messages.  I never picked up the phone when they would  call but i listened to the messages and they sure started off with "This is an attempt to collect a debt"...i just laugh.  I know that if its important or if i happend to be the one they are looking for, they would have mailed me something...so now i just don't even pay attentinon and ignore their calls and messages, its just that simple

Continue to get calls from 800-477-3826 4x a day no message just a missed call.

this company calls my home everyday, starting at 8:00 am until 9:00 pm. they usually do not leave a message and when they do, they don't say a name and where they are calling from and what they are calling for.  If they leave a message, it is as follows, "this is an attempt to collect a debt.  Please call us back at 800-477-3826 and use reference number T, something, something, something,.  Why should I call back if they don't leave a name or the name of the person they are calling for?

This company has been calling my cell night and day, doing all of the above actions mentioned above, is there something that it can be done?

This number has shown up on my caller ID on the following dates: July 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12 & 14.  A bit excessive, right?  They never left a message, so I don't know who I need to...talk...to.

Calls more than 10 times a day. They are already in all types of trouble from trying to collect from the wrong people, violation of collection practices and to make matters worse they keep calling for someone I dont know and who does not reside here. What a violation of debt collection practices act! no wonder they are in so much trouble all over the US. And unprincipalled creditors continue to use this company! SHAME! if the original creditors were held as responsible bet they wouldnt use crappy companies like these!!!

I was on vacation and according to my Caller ID they have called every day since the July 1st (it is now July 7th).  I called the number on the ID back and the answering system said it was NCO Financial Systems Incorporated.  Not having any business with them, I did not wait around for an associate and hung up.

call at 10:03 am on 7/4/08.  automated message with my name!? i need to call the 800-477-3826 no and ask for 501928 reference no.  i'm NOT planning to.  i need a secretary to keep up with calls such as this AND to type/call appropriate officials.  to shut such places DOWN.  now.
