They call at least twice a day looking for an invoice to be paid for a product we've never received.  When telling them to cancel the order, they reply that they can't because the publisher has already been paid.  This company has a D+ rating with BBB.  I've filed a complaint against them (along with 83 other people).

You know I was ripped off by an engineer once and just claimed to the attorney general. Those darn engineers, all promises no deliveries. Sheesh!

For the third time in a row we have received a "Requested Invoice" in the mail for a person that no one has heard of before for the publication of Engineering News Record. When I called (for the third time), I could never get this resolved as they wanted to sell me the magazine instead. I just keep sending their invoice back, marking we have never ordered it and to remove us from the list.

These guys are getting sneakier, I think, by getting a phone number to call from for the state they are targeting and giving the same spiel as "Maggie" wrote.  FYI      Evidently trying to make it look like a local business by using a local phone number to call from that shows up on caller ID. Sheesh.  The number in ND was from 701-205-3164 and they said "Cascade Services".

The same thing just happened to me today with the same line, but my husband did ordered the magazine and never received it.  They keep telling me that they sent one out, but again, we never received it.  The lady on the phone even told me that she was going to fax the invoice to me right away and that's been almost an hour ago.  My husband ordered this magazine last Sept., so if we didn't pay, then we don't get the magazine.  Right?  It's not like they sent it out and we didn't pay.  My husband told them last year that he wanted to cancel since he didn't receive anything.  Watch out for Cascade Subscriptions!!  Their number usually comes up private.  One of their other numbers is 206-523-0921.  When you call them, you never get a person and you have to leave a message.  Nice way to run a business!!

Just got a call from these guys asking for one of our engineers who is out of the office this week, he wanted to know if he was in charge of Accounts Payable and I said know and asked who he was with he said Cascade Subscription Service, that he had sent an invoice 3 times and it hadn't been paid.  I said that was weird because we don't pay for our magazine subscriptions, they're free because we answer the data miner's questions.  I said I'm in Accounts Payable and I haven't ever seen an invoice from you company and that it was highly suspicious and he wanted to know if we could take care of the balance today and I told him no way, I had to talk to our engineer and see how the "subscription" came about.
