Yak Communications is a rip off.  They are trying to make me pay for something I never had.  If they call again I will report them.

SCAM.  This company preys on people by phone.  They claim that there are errors on your computer that is allowing anyone to access the computer from the internet.  They then show you the errors after you allow them remote access onto your desktop.  For a small cost of $99.95 they will happily assist you to fix something that NEVER existed.

The number above 800-490-7235 and the new number 416-279-1365 both are from YAK Communication telephone company. If they keep calling you have the right to contact Police and Local Goverment who acts in behalf of consumer protection agency act.
Alo you can Block the number.

This is a telemarketer from YAK communications, when you answer there is nobody there....very strange.

i am 1 of those great people that call you constantly.if you would just take a moment to listen our rates are superb and we have no contracts, so next time take a moment, if you take that will guarentee we wont call back

I recently changed my local phone service and assumed yak was calling me to reactivate or something. The guy on the phone claimed I didn't have to, we will see.

I've had 4 phone calls from this number today and dead air every single time I answer!  Does anyone know how to block them from calling?

I am a receptionist and these people call here at work at least once a day and every time I just assume they hung up.. but today I got some background noise and a "uuuuuuh" kind of half-awake drunken groan on the other end and then I hung up.  If it's really "Yak Communications" and they're looking for new customers they're not very good at it.

It's my understanding that 1-800-490-7235 is a number hooked to a computer that is suposed to dail numbers and to record what time of day that you are home so that they can give their callers(from a different number) a time in which they can get a hold of you. That is why their is nobody there when you answer it and nobody to get through to when you call back.  The best thing you can do is just not to answer.

just got through 2 someone...who i couldn't make out and big shocker...they could not hear me very well
she didn't take long getting the hint when i hit the roof...hopefull i will not be hearing from them again

I just received a phone call this am from said company, "Yak Communications". The entire preliminary part of the call was all broken up and when I voiced my concern, I was informed by the caller that it must be her headset; yeah right! I did although muster from the first partof her speech that Aliant was no longer offering long distance and I would be now with their company; once again, yeah right! I was forwarded to a "verifier" who I could magically hear and understand completely. I immediately posed the question as to why Aliant no longer offering long distance and they would be my provider, there indeed was silence and @ that moment, I realized this company is a scam artist and not so politely ended the conversation and hung up. EVERYONE BEWARE!!!

They call me ALL THE TIME!!! I have talked to two representatives now who refuse to accept the fact that I do not want their long distance plan and they are very rude.
This is getting very annoying as I have a new baby and they are always calling throughout the day.
I have tried asking them to remove my number from their calling list but they just ignore me and hound me about their long distance plan.

The number keeps calling and when I answer it's just dead air. And when i call the numebr back it says it is Yack Communications, although i have waited on hold for up to 40 min and there is nobody there... it is pissing me off!!!!!!!!!!!
