Received a call from 800-497-1204 regarding our AT&T bill.  I have had experience with our lines being switched by misrepresentation, so I knew I was going to drill her.  The rep named Pia said she was with the upgrade department of AT&T.  She offered us $220 for all three of our phone lines (we were paying less).  When I wanted her to pull up our account info to go over things in detail so I could make an educated decision, her attitude became short with me.  I told her what has happened in the past with our lines being switched and she calmed down.  I took her number, hung up and called AT&T directly.  I spoke to them about my bill and told them about the other call I received.  The AT&T rep that I called told me that AT&T DOES NOT call their customers about changing their billing.  She said most of those calls are from other companies trying to switch your service.  AT&T was able to lower my billing, but only after I called them directly.  Bottom line, if you get a call from a telemarketer, even if  you think they are legit, search it out first by calling your company direct, and googling the phone numbers.

We have been getting 4-5 calls per day from "AT&T." Finally, I took a call. Felicia Wiliams, account specialist, claiming to be from AT&T called and gave me this number (800-497-1204). If I call back, I get the generic "all operators are busy." She gave me the same crap she has given everyone else. I kept asking questions and asking for something in writing. I called AT&T, and they said they will never actually call you unless they are returning your call. She said these people are causing them a lot of trouble and that they only need a recorded "yes" (which could be the answer to "Is this ABC company?") to switch your service. However, she then tried to sell me the service that this slamming company tried to switch me to. The whole industry is unbelievable.

Do NOT trust these people. I also got a call regarding the UVerse and they make it sound so legit. "We're calling about the mailout that was sent out regarding the switch to UVerse." Then when I got the phone number and googled it, sure enough here were people telling me who they really were. When I called the number back I got the recording that mentions no company name but only says all representatives are not available. This is the second time in the past week that a company has claimed to be AT&T. Be aware of ANYBODY claiming to be AT&T and DON'T give them information.  

Just received a call from Wendell King with this company.  They told me they were AT&T.  I specifically asked them if they were REALLY AT&T because we keep getting calls from all over with folks saying they are AT&T but they aren't when it comes straight down to getting the service.

Wendell King apparently LIED TO ME right on the phone and SWORE he actually WAS AT&T.  I got the same recording as listed here when I called back so I plugged their number into Google and came to this website.  I plan on reporting this.  They need to be shut down and go to jail!  I'm furious!

I'm so glad this was out there! I just got this call and googled the 800# while on the phone with them! I think you just saved me a BIG headache! As soon as I asked for a website to confirm or written info. she started diverting the answer. I finally told her I was interested unless she had something in writting and she said ok then and hung up! when you call this 800-497-1204 it just says "thank you for calling, all reps. are busy please leave your name and # for a call back" definalty not Frontier!

I get calls from these people ALL OF THE TIME.  I even went as far as to call Frontier's business security officer to find out about this kind of call.  Its not Frontier so don't give them your information.  Even if they say they can save you 25% or more on your bill, its a LIE.

Don't agree to anything these people tell you to do.

This was given as the callback number from someone pretending to be Frontier (the phone company).  The lady had rough info on our phone lines and basically wanted to give me a new price, read a disclaimer and have me switch.  I THOUGHT SLAMMING WAS A THING OF THE PAST.  I said that I wanted written info and she wanted off the call.  I called this number back and got a 'thanks for calling' but no business name
