they left me a voicemail. i ain't no idiot. i googled the number and found this site. kinda bored at work so i called back knowing this is a scam however their office was closed. damn what do i do now.

I got a call from Darwin Flores today at 7pm, which I thought was a weird time to be open. the extension was 1116 and he told me to call regarding a specific reference number. I got nervous so instead of calling him back I went online and looked up the number and found this site.

I also have been targeted by this scam. Tomorrow the "Private Investigator" is coming to a business I sold my nephew 6 months ago to do an "asset search" (1st red flag)

Private investigators do not let anyone know they are doing an asset search. Why? If you do an asset search before litigation, it tips the debtor to transfer assets into a family members name temporarily to avoid garnishment or attachment.



The caller said he was a private investigator (2nd red flag) I checked AZDPS licensing online under his name and company name. No registration or licensure. Opps. To impersonate a private Investigator in Arizona is a felony.



He should have done his homework before he called and set up an appointment ...because...the new owner (my nephew) and I are both licensed Private investigators in Arizona. I own Maverick Investigations and have for over 20 years.



So this is what is going to happen tomorrow.



Wait..you asked why I am putting this out on the web...and maybe tipping the guy off????? Because he will never read this until it is too late. He is coming at 8am in the morning. The only way he will read this is from jail.



anyway...tomorrow. We have two video cameras set up to record his contact with us tomorrow. A digital voice recorder and Arizona Dept of Public Safety is going to be on an open cell phone line listening in to this meeting. They are haveing the local PD standing by to come in and arrest the "PI" after he says enough to incriminate himself.

Yep same crap here. A supposed Richard Nemath calls, hard to understand him because he sounds like he's plugging his nose and speaking very nasally. He wants to speak to the boss, wants to hold, wants to know how I know the boss isn't available to speak to him, wants to know my name. I refused to give him my name and he told me he would say I gave him approval to run a credit card. WHO is he going to say gave him approval, Jane Doe? What a tool. I told him that was illegal and hung up on him. I'm reporting them to the FCC and the BBB, and from now on will hang up on him before he has a chance to speak.

Forgot to mention, once they received your letter, they are allowed to call you one more time only!!!

They call me on Tuesday, "Private Investigator" and today, Greeenberg, Grant & Richard and left a message saying they will be at my office tomorrow to photograph "my facilities" inside and out.

This company called me about a TXU account that is supposedly in my name, had my social even.  This account is not in my name and has not been since August of last year.  Not my fault my ex didn't pay his bills!  But since it was ONCE tied to my name they are calling and threatening me with turning off the electicity in my HOME for a business account that is not even mine.  

I don't like that they have my SSN and the tactics the stoop to in their effort to collect money.  What can I do to prove this is not my account?

This person, "Ed Martin" calls my number looking for someone.
He asked me to have (supposedly this person listed me as a reference)
the person call "ED" on an urgent matter.
Wish they would get their information correct.
He only left his 1800-497-5332 - no business name.
Is it my responsibility to call to tell them I have no idea what they are calling about?
I hate ghost callers!!!!!

called from 886-778-1922 and said to call them back at this 800-497-5332 number.  Said they had a legitimate file from a company my daughter-in-law deals with occasionally.    Said they had been trying to call her for 3 months.  After no replies, they called us.  Lies!!!!   Bogus on the debt owed too!!!   How do you get them to stop calling??????   My husband threatened to call the attorney general.

THIS is a complete scam.  They send out false notices of debts that were never owed and attempt to collect.  Completely illegal.

Report them to the Florida and Texas Attorney General Offices at first contact

Brian Hatcher 800-497-5332 ext 1176 wanted to find out if I had the ability to write checks for the company.

These guys are all scum. Remember you are not required by law to give any information whatsoever to this firm. You are not required under the law to provide them access to your company?s property, files or employee information unless you are a government and they are making a public records request. Again this firm can only Talk you out of your money they have no authority and absolutely no legal authority to Make you say or do anything. Now having said that they will lie, cheat intimidate, threaten & hire private investigators to hand deliver paperwork etc... It?s all b***s*** if you allow you?re self to be intimidated or scared into paying then you?re an idiot. I owe over 150,000 to Altec Capital and Greenburg Grant was retained to try and collect. They used lowlife tactics and tried to scare me into letting them come on our property and take our equipment. I told them that I am the manager and if they came to the property with the sheriff and the sheriff or any local law enforcement officer told me to allow them on the property then I would do so however if you come on my property without legal authority or notice I will shoot you down as a trespasser. Needless to say but I will never pay them a cent I will hopefully one day be able to approach Altec with an offer to settle for 10 cents on the dollar. If they refuse which they most likely will then they can get a judgment and try to collect. This is all a public record online thru the Hillsborough County Clerks Office, Circuit Civil Tampa Florida. Remember never pay collection agencies always go to the source not the people they hire to harass you. Try to resolve the debt if the people you owe refuse at least you tried to resolve the debt prior to having to file chap 11 or 7 which by the way ultimately leaves them with nothing so allot of them will negotiate.

If called in the future always inform them that you are recording the phone call and that if they wish to come on the property to take pictures and or see YOUR FILES they must have an officer of the law with and that officer has to tell you that you must allow access! Guess what it will never happen but the calls will continue.
