no one was there when we answered

Caller ID showed toll free number, I called this number back and no answer.

no one is ever there when i answer. i have a new number registred the number a little over a month ago with the do not call registry. this place calls two or three times a wee. nobody ever answers when i call back .i think it is really rude to call someone and not totalk with them

I answered, said hello twice, then the person said something like, "what's up" and then hung up.  Who are these people?

Can't say who it was that called me; I did not answer the phone and of course they didn't leave a message.
Gotta say something to those who think they are being 'rude' by not speaking with those they call: Hello! That's the way telemarketers work! They dial as many numbers as they can and if two callees answer at the same time, one gets dead air, the other gets the pitch. If they really cared about manners and politeness, they couldn't pay the first month's phone bill, much less stay in business. Telemarketers always care about their company and product first, and assume that everyone, if pitched to correctly, will feel the same way. It is probably the most narcissistic business alive.

"Debbie" callin' on behalf of the Wyoming Peace Officers. They call every year and I get a kick out of them trying to sound like how they must think cowboys/hicks talk.

This guy very firmly called me by name (my name is not listed) and announced himself as Rufas. Then he paused and stated he was from the Wyoming Peace Officers. I told him I was not interested and he tried to get me to "let me(him) do his job". We do have a wyoming peace officers org..btw. dont know how this guy got my name as no other telemarketer has ever called me by name. I also am on the national do not call registry.

A recorded voice said, "Please hold for the next available operator."  We hung up.  Since we're on the do not call list, I filed a complaint at https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx

One is keeps calling me!!!!!!!!!!!!!, I need to no longer get these phone calls.  stop calling me.

Same as most of you.  Receive a call with a hang-up.  Return the call and nobody answers.  Scary to know he/it talks to some of you.  Saved the phone number to my contacts as "CREEPY MISTERY CALLER" so I know not to answer.  What a creep!

I may know who this is, how do I report it.

Man identified his name as James from the Wyoming Peace Officer's Association.  Said it was that time of year again to remind folks about children crossing streets to get to school, etc. etc.  He asked how I was and I told him I had no time to talk with him.  He definitely was waiting for someone to answer the phone and was doing series calling.

Called but did not respond. Have been called by some MT police organization soliciting donations in previous years and I see that someone thought that was their #. Could be their automated system at work.

Asked for "John" and I snorted they had wrong # ... then called me by my married name ... said they were from the Montana Police Association ... said "No Thank You" and take me off your call list ... see if that works.

I too am on the do not call list.  This number called me today.  I answered after two rings and no one was there.

they call me several times per week no one ever there when we answer. when we call back nobody ever answers. we are on the do not call registry we also have a new nubmer really rude to call and not to talk with the person and tell them why you are  calling

I somehow did not hear the phone ring but when I picked up the phone to place a call, I heard the signal that indicated I had a message.  *69 revealed that (once again) I had a call from 800-521-4322.  The "voice mail" message left by the caller was someone or something present on the line for perhaps two seconds, then a hang-up.  Why did I bother to register with teh "National Do Not Call" registry?  This number is one of a suite of about 8 numbers that call, leaving no message, or leaving a message that shows they are unprepared to delay the automatic playing of their messages to coordinate with my own voice mail message.  I cannot understand why so many numbers able to circumvent the Do Not Call registry.

I also got a call from this man today and as usual, I let all 800 calls go to my answering machine.  He said, "you're secret's safe with me, you're secret's safe with me." then something else I couldn't identify.  What worries me is that I have a young daughter this would terrify if she were home alone and heard this.  I called the police and phone company and neither would do anything...helpful, huh.  Someone once told me to say that the police are tracing the call and sometimes that gets them to stop also to use an air horn.  This guy needs to be stopped, but who's supposed to get this guy if no one will help?!?

Repeatedly calls

this weirdo called again tonight. When I answered, I just yelled HELLO???
And he called me by my name again.  I told him nobody here by that
name and he hung up.  Are all of the people on here WOMEN?  Interesting

like a drunk old man) actually called me by my name!!
I did not confirm but asked who it was, then they
called my name again, said Hello? Hello? like they
couldn't hear me and then they hung up and didn't
call back.  CCCCC RRRRRR EEEE EEEEE PPPPPP YYYYY!

First call from this one - I don't pick up on these kind of calls anymore thanks to Caller ID and this service. (800notes.com)

I get a call from this number at least once a day.  No message is left, and if I answer I get hung up on.  I have called back and it just rings and rings.

This number called me and left a message "you lived and I died, that was bogus - I shot 'ya".  I called back but it just rang and rang, no answer!
