Just a heads up for others stumbling on this page by searching on this phone number. I noticed two small charges on my credit card that reference: CHECK CRD PURCHASE 01/26 COUPON8005232343 800-5232343. This is some sort of monthly recurring charge for a coupon club, which is fraudulent.
Check all of your credit cards you use to shop online and make sure you are not also a victim.

Got a mildly rude and condescending call from this number. Our understanding is the mortgage payment is due between the 1st and 15th, and no late fee is assessed until the 16th, and she confirmed that for me. We always, without fail, get it in by the first week of the month. So why am I getting a call from the collections department on the 5th?

Keeps calling my cell phone, that I have had for over 15 years, looking for Paul Kim Re an Office Depot acct. I am Not Paul Kim and could not have been treated in a more rudely by Ms. Willis (800) 523-1830 ext. 1137 when I tried to clarify the issue. I don't know who owes them money and I don't care because it is NOT me, but basic business would indicate you do not talk to people as Ms. Willis did.

We have a mortgage that was sold to PNC.
Since then they call us multiple times daily, leaving no message, from this number, and now another unknown number that can't even been called back. The payment is due on the 1st & there is a late fee assessed on the 16th. We had been behind by up to a couple of months last year due to having a start up business, but after a lengthy conversation & diligence, managed to arrange to get it current last month.
Our next payment was due 5 days ago. When they called this morning, they asked if I would pay then. I said no. I can't make single payments that large with my debit card. They asked if we would pay it by the end of the month. I said yes. In fact I said we would pay it before the late fee is even assessed. They have already called again today, leaving no message. What more do they want?
I understand our payment is a few days late, but is calling my cell number multiple times daily, not leaving a message regarding the call, and continuing to call even though I said I would make the payment within the time frame they requested really an ok business practice?
I know we can send a cease letter for phone calls, but I do understand we owe the payment & am not trying to antagonize a company that is already horrible to work with. What can I do about this number & the unknown numbers that keep calling. I intend to pay the bill, I have already worked to get it current, and I don't understand their decision to use all of these resources for a payment that isn't even past the late fee stage that has been promised to them within their own requested time.
Prob more info than you need. Just really really frustrated.

Got a suspicious call...the first part was hold for the call to go through (NOT reassuring). When caller came on the line, demanded I provide the last 4 of my social security number to tell me what the call was about. I asked them to identify themselves, just said PNC which could be a lot of other companies. I asked what business they were in, and they couldn't say. The third time around the caller finally gave me this phone number to call to verify the business, so of course, I checked....
Pretty bad approach if this is a legitimate business...is PNC Mortgage legitimate?

Lynn Ray 2013-01-08 19:52:44 Unknown
I don't know who this is. Sounds like a debt collector possibly, however I owe no debts. I think they are trying to locate my former husband who passed away in Oct. 2012. I was married to the man for 35 1/2 years
and he was adamant about paying cash as he couldn't keep a check-book balanced. I would not believe he has an open debt somewhere either.

I think it's just rude and cold to call your customer's with a recorded message telling us to stay on the line for an important call. I just took time out of my important day to answer the phone and hold for someone to tell me why they called.
I do not like the changes I've seen in the last two years with PNC. The calls regarding your payments when you don't pay on the 1st are irritating. I know I will be assessed a late fee if I pay after the 14th, but it's not even the 14th! Back the F off! What's even more irritating is that I made my payment online two days prior to the call.
Your customer care is not very caring. :(

Ive been getting calls daily for people I don't even know and finally called the number back. Said I didn't have my account number or SSN and was put right through to an actual person. It is PNC Mortgage but I do not hold any accounts with PNC and they could not find any information for my name, address or telephone number. Therefore, they can not tell me why they are calling my house incessantly and can not remove me from the list. No idea how they got my information but they certainly aren't looking for me!
MARY JUNGERS 2012-12-11 19:51:09 Unknown
KEEP CALLING MY NUMBER. I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL REGISTRY. IF I DO ANSWER, THERE IS NEVER ANYONE ON THE OTHER END. THEY LEAVE A MESSAGE SOMETIMES TO JUST CALL THEM BACK. I DO NOT HAVE ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM AND I AM CURRENT ON BOTH OF MY MORTGAGES.

I get at Least 5 calls a day from this number beginning on the 2nd of the month. IT is PNC Mortgage...the representative NEVER leave a message and ask you everything but the name of your PET to veriffy that they are speaking to the owner of the PNC mortgage.
she called herself a debt collector....but its the 5th of the Month and there is a grace period until the 16th...geez...
She kept talking over me...now even if I had the money to pay my mortgage promptly on 1st of month I wont', since they make a big production.....they should be damn lucky that I do pay every month and I've never been past the 16th of month grace period in over 6 years.

My mortgage was bought out by PNC about two years ago. I have nothing but problems with these people. I send them a check. They never receive. I cancel check send another and they get it... every month for the past 4 this has happened. If i make an online payment they may or may not update it on my account and try to charge me late fees. Twice I have had to make them take no payments off my credit report for there failure to "see" my online payments. My house is currently for sale, when i buy another one there is not a chance in this world I will get another VA loan through these people.

We too have a mortgage with PNC (will NEVER do that again). We have never been late on our mortgage and pay within the contractual period. We get MULTIPLE phone calls each day; lately they have been "Hold while I connect you." After three or four of these it ends with "I'm sorry I was unable to connect you; will try again later." And they called me! I will NEVER go to PNC for ANYTHING. My mortage was originally with National City and initially PNC argued with me about the terms of the mortgage, claiming that ALL of their mortgage grace periods are due on a certain date (not the date of mine). I explained that my mortgage was originally with National City and transferred when PNC bought them out - didn't matter. The customer service at this company is horrendous - they follow a script and refuse to THINK. In the words of Clark Howard, it's the Customer No Service Dept.

Received a call this morning, answered and a recording said please hold while I connect your call, after saying this a few times, the recording said sorry we cannot connect your call, please try again later. Seriously? They called me!

PNC - Mortgage Company they are the worst company out there and they do not even have a Pacific time zone location for the people on the west coast. They are rude and procrastinate saying they need more information to move forward you can give them all they want and they still won't do a thing - Nice job Obama giving all the money to the bank to help everyone that are trying to save their homes - Fannie Mae is a total joke ~

It's weird... It's an 800 number, but it sounded like a prank. The caller asked for Hugh Hefner!? They've called twice so far and I have no idea what their deal is.
Michael 2012-02-01 14:55:05 Unknown
You are very very wrong...
PNC WAS bailed out. They used the money to buy National City instead of fixing their bad debts like they were supposed to. (this was done through a well planned loophole placed there by one of our Ohio senators at the request of PNC lobbyists).
I was a heavy National City stockholder and got SHAFTED royally.
National City sought outside private investors to get their books in shape. And when they did - the welfare funded PNC bought them with YOUR tax money to make their books look better.
Polite 2012-02-01 00:30:26 Unknown
Some people can not pay on time every month. Not everyone that is late has no intention of paying. Some of us just have to do our best. Obviously you have never had money problems. I hope you never do. If you ever have troubling times you will wish some of these companies would understand your situation.
BigJim 2012-01-14 15:40:12 Debt Collector
This is PNC Mortgage. They call asking for your last 4 of SS# because of lame government regulations. Bottom line is they want to you pay close to the due date of your mortgage - generally the 1st. I had EFT setup for the 10th and had been paying that way for a long time. Apparently they'd like it sooner! I logged on to the web site to change and the drop down box as 15 options - pay on the due all the way to pay 15 days AFTER the due date. Huge inconsistency between the web site options for payment and when the human on the phone wants you to pay!
