This is a legit Cox Cable number/call.  I called back to find out what they wanted.  It was them letting me know I had a past-due amount and they let me pay it to avoid disruption of service.  They mentioned a specific amount, and after I ended the call, I logged into my Cox Bill Pay account and saw the exact information just mentioned during the call...the past-due amount, the immediate payment transfer, and the current balance for my account, as well as the forth-coming due date that was mentioned.  It's no scam.  It's them.

Never call back phone numbers from email or voicemail. Need to call the bank, utility, or credit card? Get the phone book, statement, or back of card. That call could be coming from anyone, anywhere in the world to get your personal information. You should never call back numbers you don't know & never give out SS#, or any personal information.

Unless the people above making the claim that this is Cox Cable actually called the number back to verify that, they're making an assumption.  A voice mail was left on my phone, which did state it was a call from "Cox" but not "Cox Communications" or "Cox Cable."  So, it may some sort of an attempt by a telemarketer to get you to call them back.  I didn't return the call.

I never answer the call but they always leave a voice mail message that is over 2 minutes in length with no sound at all! This is getting really annoying

Calls several times a day to my cell phone.  When I answered the calls no one resounded or they hung up.  This is harassment.  The company is unknown.
