Why can't they ever leave a message!!

I called back out of curiousity and got a recorded message about getting a special Dish promotion which includes a free Ipad2, Hopper and HD, Showtime, HBO Free for $19.99 month.  They don't actually say they are Dish Network, just that they have a special Dish promotion.  You are asked to press 1 for the special, 2 for "all other calls".

Have been receiving calls from this # for over a week, 2-3 times/day, but no one speaks. Today, someone finally spoke and said her name was NICOLE, need to speak with the owner regarding personal matter, wouldn't say where she's calling from or what it's regarding.

This number calls for my late husband. I have told them multiple times that he is deceased. They claim they will remove my number but 6 months later they are still calling.

Calls multiple times a day, no message, when I accept the call but don't speak there is no message.

Unknown. They called looking for Gail at my office. It is a fake phone number on the caller id. Just be aware - All toll free on caller id are fake - and so are some local. It is easy to reprogram. Be very careful giving out info when people call you.

Stop calling

call multiple times a day, finally spoke to someone (nobody on other end of previous calls). told me calls are recorded for quality assurance and they need to verify some info. i was ask to verify my name and soc sec. number. my response was, you called me from a toll free number, no name attached on caller id, i am not allowed to call this number back, as i have attempted to previously, so, just go ahead and tell me my name and soc. sec. number and i,ll take it from there, after all you called me. they refused, got a bit mad, then i ask them if they tell their kid to provide this info to unidentified total strangers? chewed on their a** a bit more then hung up.

Has called 12 times today! Never answer either let it ring or answer and immediately hang up!

They have called 4 times in one day

This is a collection agency that is hired by capital one/hsbc. Although the number is not a capital one number it is hired by capital one for collection purposes. Extremely annoying in violation of federal law with the amount of times they call through out the day. They think because no message was left they can still keep calling which in the 80's was correct, but the law has changed since than. I told them I can prove thru my computer over 20 calls in one week...who does my lawyer call to sue for harassment  peace and quiet at last

This number is pushing it, they called me on Sunday morning!

this number calls me at least 3 times a day; no one on the line.

Got a call today (August 3rd, 2013), left no message.  Tried calling the number back and only get short high-pitched beeps and a hang-up.

This number has been calling mine for months. I wish they would stop. The calls came 5-10 times a day. This last week down to 3. Maybe they will stop soon. They wake up my baby. Jerks Now that I know they are liars going to start haven some fun and waste their time. See how. they like it

Calling 5-10 times/day, no voicemail left.  When I call that number I get a message saying this number cannot be reached from my calling area.  Finally got a call and picked up, the rep asked my name I answered and he hung up.  Very strange.

Calls started last week.. 4-5 times a day.  Same as others, refusal to leave a message to give my hubby, cant call number back (doesnt work), etc.  After I told them I was my husband, finally got info they were calling from Capitol One/HSBC (the companies did merge).  Told them not interested, remove my # from their list & to stop calling.  That didnt work.. still call repeatedly throughout the day.
So.. I called Capitol One/HSBC directly.  They were very happy I called.  The CSR verified this is not them calling.  If it was them calling, a message would be left and you can call the number back (from your caller ID).  She is currently contacting their corp office about this since their name is being falsely used.  She also advised me to report this to the BBB (804-648-0016) and could also contact my local authorities as well since the calls are harassment.
** Capitol One/HSBC verified 800-555-6600 is not them calling.  Do do not provide this number with any personal info.  CO/HSBC also mentioned people here should also contact the BBB as well**

This number calls my cell phone over and over again.  When I answered, no one was there.  And as a matter of fact, my household bank card just switched to Capital One also.

These people are bottom feeders trying to collect on debts that are years old

If any one has an open account with Capital One and its not up to date this is just the beginning of their harassment, they have about 30 different different numbers and will call several times a day.Looks like I need to talk with my wife again.

They call several times a day. I have not answered because I do not recognize the number.  I'm glad I haven't after reading these messages.

I get these calls they ask for my husband, but as soon as I say he's not here, they quickly hang up.

I have been called 3 or 4 times a day for the past week.  They never leave a message.  I answered just now.  The guy asked for me by name.  Without answering I asked "who is this?"  He said his name again.  He would not say what company he was with.  He refused to tell me anything more than his name until I verified my name.  He did say that he had a business opportunity.  So I hung up.
