Irritating calls

seems like a scam. called wamu, they said it wasn't one of their numbers.

an automated msg was sent to my cell on 10/13 and 10/14 and said to call 800-568-5025. i called the official WaMU to verify this number and it is NOT a WaMU number. both phone calls came from different states. see notes below.

10/13 at 9:05 am rec'd call from Colorado 303-481-0027 to contact wamucanhelp.com or call 800# above.
10/14 at 12:58 pm rec'd call from Melbourne, Florida 321-549-3042 to contact wamucanhelp.com or call 800# above.  

NEVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION TO A PARTY THAT CALLS YOU AND CLAIMS TO BE A COMPANY.

pls. remove my name from your on line list of replies I would appreciate it.

I willsend a payment on October 8th,that's when I get  my social security check.  I will send $100.00  If there is anything we can do to lower the intrest rate of the late fees for a few months  it would be appreciated.

I receive calls from Pam saying to call this number 1-866-397-4904 or mamucanhelp.com.  The message is time sensitive and leaves no option to cancel your phone number from this call.  I only have 100 min and they call two times a day.  at 2 times a day for one month that is 62 min.  How do you get them to stop!!!!

They don't leave a message they continue to call all the time. I wish there was a way to block them!

They called my work and for me by name and was put into voice mail message left "this is a call from Wahington Mututal regarding your credit card please call 1-800-568-5025 or got to wamu.canhelp.com"  which brought me here.  What is this??? Anyone found an answer??

We get calls from this number and various other numbers from New York City. Flordia , Arizona, Texas, Also a p;ace called Prodata, Inc. When you call these numbers back it is always Washington Mutual. This is just a few of the numbers i have put down there is a lot more.

I entered all the information required as I didn't know if it was fraud or what ....
what should I do now ... ?????

These guys are shady dealers and scammers and if you get a call from them file a 1088 Complaint with the FCC at https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do and if you are on the National Do Not Call List, file a Complaint at https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx.

If the government gets enough complaints from you, we can put these guys out of business.

Calls are the same as previously mentioned.  They never address me by my name, but they make it seem as if it is quite imperative that I return their call..........

Ive gotten this call 3 times everyday..1 every morning about 6 am.. the 2nd while im at work, and then the 3rd while im trying to go to sleep at like 11 pm! THis is getting soo annoying and finally this time it LEFT A MESSAGE on my voicemail of my cell phone! so i wrote down the website couldnt find it..so i typed in the phone number and this is the website i found..!

I too, have gotten the same message as above, claiming they are washington mutual credit card services, but when I called customer service they said they don't have that particular number listed, which is suspect as when you call they do ask you for your social security number to "verify" your account or lack thereof.  I was told it may take "several weeks" for them to stop calling.  They call 2 times every day.  Very frustrating.  Even threatening to cancel my accounts, they say might not stop the calls.

Sounds like one of the phone messages I periodically get from one of my credit card companies (they never identify themselves, but I only have 3 cards, one of which is through Wamu) offering reductions in interest rates. They always say something like, it's a time-sensitive offer that "expires soon" and "this is the final notification you will receive", but I keep getting the calls with the offers, so they much initiate a new one after each one expires.  Or something.  I never respond to the things because I have no idea how long the "reduce interest rate" will remain in effect.
