Received call fro 210-244-1496. Researched it as a collection agency in San Antonio. They referenced a business matter and have her call 800-600-1496. After reading comments. I am filling this in my little round file that is emptied on garbage day. They are not very good at researching for people so how reliable is their information.

Collection agency with caller ID of 210-244-4531.  Name of Lyndie O'Conner requesting call back to 800-600-1496 at ext 17313.

Left 2 messages stating to call "Christi" back @ 1-800-600-1496 ext 7426 about a case in her office. No company name, other information. If it's that important, they need to leave more information than just that. Refuse to answer or call back unless more information is provided.

The call implied it was from Jannet Borgman of 117 Rotterdam Road Easley, SC 29640. There is no such person. The extension given is 7254.
N purpose for the call was given.

Got a call from this "Christi" person on a Saturday monring. Caller Id said 210-224-6121 but she said to call her back at 1(800) 600-1496 ext. 7426 regarding a case on her desk  NO company name or any other information.  She tried to say my name in the message and instead I called the number back that I saw on the caller ID and it was closed and the voice messages says they are SARMA.  Scam, scam, scam.  She will never get a call from me concerning anything...

Got a call too. No name. Just said to call back. Its a collections agency. They're looking for someone else. Told them stop calling cause its the wrong number. 60 days later, still getting these stupid calls and I told them to put me on the DNC cause its my new business line number.

Received an unsolicited call by Jesse (ext. 7320).  It's from a debt collection agency.

Got a few vm from Johnny Rod at ext. 7426.  Never says who he is representing other than I need to show him the courtesy to call him back.  Sure!

This number has been calling my parents trying to get a hold of my husband; said they were from TX & he hasn't lived there in over 10 years. And to let him know that they were calling about a legal matter

I received a call from 2102246121 asking to return the phone call to the 1800 numer, no info about why were they calling me.  Just to call them back.

I did a little research via google using the search criteria of SCI Debt Collector. It populated the collection agency of Sarma Collections, Inc. There website is: http://sarma.com or http://sarmacollections.com they have both websites. I was trying to find something that would verify a debt I owe, but they do not have a tool on their website for that. All they have is for payment of a debt, Via the payment thing is does not in anyway tell you what the debt is for they just want you to submit payment. I am going to call them tomorrow and find out what debt they are attempting to collect on.

My mother told me today that she received a phone call today from someone at 1-800-600-1496 ext 7264 ref 093442745. I have not ever received a call from them in regards to any debt before. Also I have not received anything in writing from them in regards to a debt. All they would tell my mother is that it was a legal matter. Advised my mother if they called her number again to please tell them my cell number and also tell them to submit something to me in writing. I called the number when the offices were closed and the automated system referred to the company of S.C.I.

I will try to contact them in the morning to see what this is all about, but not giving them any information til I receive some type of information from them.

I got a call by Bonnie of the F.B.I. The reason I say this is because the number by chance is the same 1-800-600-1496 x 7256. San Antonio TX. case number 093640791. I thought it was illegal to use any of the Government agencies to represent yourself in any way. Anyway this is my call from the same number.

I got a message from 1-800-600-1496 ext. 7313. Said it would be in my best interest to return the call so we can discuss case number *********. I returned the call after hours and left a nice message telling them that unless i have a subpeona, or a warrant, or anything that will force me to show up in court or even a letter by certified mail, or a constable or sheriff dropping off paper work, Im not getting an attorney to defend myself for something i don't know about. These basterds sound cocky, and arragant. If they begin to be harrassing or give me a terroristic threat, Im going to sue the heck out of them. They need to study on "code of criminal procedures" before they mess with me. Cause Im about to get "like Rick James..." Im rich Bi**h..LMAO

This company and the people working for it are obviously not abiding by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.  If you've been contacted by this company and have been threatened, harassed, they have communicated with someone other than yourself or your attorney, charged additional fees/interest, etc then you are able to file a complaint through the FTC.  Please read through the Act, it is very informative:

These people call me out of the blue.  Never heard of them before.  Have no idea who they are.  Never got anything in writing.

He literally said "I'm calling on behalf of B of A and need to collect the $1,345 you owe.  So if you'll give me a credit card number we can finish this up quickly."

Are you people stupid????  Somebody calls you out of the blue and you merely pay him?  You peoples is nuts.

I've told all of these people unless I have something in writing from A) the credit card company authorizing them to speak on their behalf and B) something in writing from these clowns I won't even listen to thjeir phone calls.

Why would you do anything different?  How about you pay this guy and then B of A calls and says they want $1,345?

"What? I just paid XYZ company."  Show proof you paid.  What is their address? etc.

BTW, always call back on a pay phone.  You call back on your own phone they have caller ID.

This guy also told me I would go to "debtor's prision" and my children would have to pay or they would join me.

These people lie, cheat, commit fraud probably beat their wives and molest their children.

They say they will garnish my wages.  I'm unemployed.  We'll freeze your bank account.  Don't have one.  Well we'll keep adding fees and charges.  Go ahead and put a nice tip on there for yourself.

Take back control.  Everything is negotiable.  Credit cards are the villains now.  They made $18 Billion last year in FEES and PENALTIES.  It is their bottom line.

Received a vm from this number, from "Helen" regarding an individual not associated with either my household or anyone in my household.  I called the number and ext. and spoke with Helen.  She had run a web search for associates of the person in question and had a hit for my wife as a relative.  After informing her the person wasn't related and we had no idea who it was (this was easy, the name was Chinese, and we simply don't know any Chinese people), Helen was very polite and thanked me for calling.

After checking on SCI (what the phone picks up as), I saw it was a collections agency.  

I'm sure they can be a burden to people, but, assuming the person they are calling is the person who shirked a debt, I don't see why they shouldn't be allowed to attempt to collect on it.  That IS a hardship on people who have lost jobs, etc, but that's not the creditor's fault.  From my experience with just this one phone call, I didn't get anything like what I've seen described here (rudeness, etc).  I wasn't even pressured to give my name.

I received a message on my phone from Karen @ 1-800-600-1496 x 7258.  She left a reference number and told me it was in regards to an Aunt of mine and that she really needed to talk with me.  I called and got a message machine-"SCI".  I did not leave a message and I have yet to call back and probably won't based on everyone's comments.  So-Thank you!!

I received a call from this number at my workplace earlier this morning, in reference to a "legal matter" involving my adult son.   I looked the number up on this website (very helpful--thank you).  Armed with the information from the other folks who reported, I called back and talked to a "Jessie" who was polite, confirmed that FCI was a collection agency, but refused to give any more information about my son's issues for "legal reasons."  He asked me to have him call him.   Does the Better Business Bureau monitor collection agencies?

Got the same call on my answering machine, only the lady didn't identify herself. She mentioned a Case Number and said she was trying to contact me, when I didn't recognize her voice.

Her extension was 7429. I think it's a Collection Agency.

I have been called by a person named Robert at this number.  He has even sunk so low to have looked up my mother (age 78) and told her about legal action against me.  She is on a do not call list and I will report this person.  I hope he gets fined for his sleaziness.
