please do not fax us

They have faxed our hotel numerous times, asking them to remove us does nothing.  jmb

414-228-7701 is the phone number for Trade Press Media Group, based in Milwaukee, WI.  It is not affiliated with the company ('National Business Publishing Corp.') that is apparently responsible for sending these junk faxes.  'Lane' notes that this number is used by many, many companies.  Actually, the number is only used by Trade Press Media Group, but Trade Press produces many magazines and related products.  Each of them is a 'brand' under the corporate umbrella of Trade Press Media Group.  None of these brands are in any way affiliated with National Business Publishing and it is due to the Google search results of various people that Trade Press has been erroneously linked in a few cases with National Business Publishing.

The phone number 414-228-7701 is the phone number for Trade Press Media Group, a very reputable trade media company.  They are in no way affiliated with 'National Business Publishing Corp' which is responsible for the faxes that are in question on this post.  Some people have erroneously done searches for 'National Business Publishing Corp' and due to the results of the searches, have made an incorrect link with Trade Press Media Group.  These are two completely separate businesses with no ties to each other in any way.

Our school is receiving unwanted faxes after a Faxed request to STOP!  There is not a "Please-remove- us-from-your-list phone number" on the fax (Which all legitimate companies have.)

I sent the form back not seeing until it was thru that there is a $299 fee for this service. I tried to send back a cancellation notification, but I am skepticale about it getting there.

This is the same issue my mother is having.   In the middle of the night she gets the faxes and it wakes her up.  She has sent faxes to them to remove her number to no avail.

I am receiving unwanted faxes from the above referenced company.  I have repeatedly faxed back and told them to remove me.

Would it help if all of us that get unwanted fax calls from 800-603-3685 send many, many junk faxes back to this number or even program our phone redial systems to continuously call this number?  I assume this company has to pay for each 800 call it receives (unless they manage to scam the phone company by not paying and opening up a new number from time to time).  If they get enough return 800 calls perhaps their "business" model will collapse?  Comments?

Unfortunately when I moved to my new home a five years ago my telephone company assigned me a phone number that was formally a fax number for an Allstate agent.  For many months we were receiving fax calls at all hours of the day and night causing distress to me and my family.  By contacting legit companies that were sending faxes and also working with Verizon's Unlawful call center we were able to stop most of the calls.  However we could never stopped calls from the "National Business Publishing" company.  The FCC doesn't seem to be of any help.  They just take reports and do nothing.  My phone company will block the call but only if I pay a monthly fee.  Obviously if anyone knows the solution to this big problem let us know.

The company I work for gets these all the time from National Business Publishing Corporation. They even somehow received one of our employees signatures to put on the faxes.  How we do not know. We cannot get them to stop - This is actually a bill stating we have 14 days to pay.  Its crazy. Any help would be appreciated.

I continue to get faxes from this company in the wee hours of the morning at my primary residence.  We aren't even a business.  I want this to stop!!!  If anyone has any information on them please let me know.  I would really appreciate it.

The name of the company is Trade Press Media Group. I am so tired of getting there faxes. 800-727-7995 & 414-228-7701 & 414-228-1134 are all for the same company. I called AGAIN today & explained that I will be contacting the FCC because they have failed to head my previous warning & requests to be removed. GOOD LUCK~

This damn place sent me a fax to my phone at 1:15 a.m. and 1:30 a.m.!!!  How rude and frustrating!!!

I HAVE RECEIVED ABOUT 25 FAXES FROM NATIONAL BUSINESS PUBLISHING CORP.  I HAVE RETURNED THE FAXES WITH "REMOVE OUR NUMBER" IN BOLD MAGIC MARKER BUT THEY CONTINUE TO FAX.  VERY FRUSTRATING I HAVE REPORTED THEM TO THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL DIRECTORY.

i have been receiving faxes from this number for about a year now. And i have changed my number once already. I pick up the phone to say stop calling this is not a business and your fax is unwanted. And yet they still keep coming. So i have had to take out my paper out of my machine in hopes it will stop. we will see

The National Contractors Guide. Over & Over we received unwanted faxes from thi scompany. No phone number just a return fax that if called will create even more unwanted faxes. HELP!

Fax in late evening - captured with my windows pc to get number.  based on the other comments I'm guessing trying to get this bozo to stop is not helpful.  And since my phone company doesn't capture the number on caller ID I don't know how to block it.

Since they "claim" to be out of Canada, do US laws effect them? I fax them back on their own fax from my desk, hundreds of times a day stating I do not wish to recieve their faxes & to stop faxing me.... & to no avail. Looks like paying to have this number blocked is the only route. Think how many hundreds of hours man hours this scam artist has waisted to say nothing of the cost in payments for those who bite.

The man behind this scam is Richard McHenry, and he's been doing it for at least ten years.  He keeps changing his company name and address (usually just a mailbox) but the scheme is the same.  He sends unsolicited faxes by the thousands trying to trick companies into signing up for a FREE listing with a charge listed in very small print at the bottom.

He's gotten into trouble with the FCC before but they can't seem to shut him down.  Google "Richard McHenry FCC" to see the 2006 Government order against him.

I run a small nn in Vermont. We often receive faxes from 800.603.3685, they request $199.00 to by included in their 'National Accomodation Guide'. Why would I send money to morons who can't correctly spell accommodation? Simple answer, I wouldn't!

Did you google 414-228-7701? 414 goes to Milwaukee, Wisconsin not Winnipeg. The 414-228-7701 number is used by many, many companies. Did you google 800-727-7995? It to is used by many, many companies, notice all the extension numbers. And then you will notice they all use the same Fax number of 414-228-1134. All three of these numbers are linked in some way to many different companies and National Business Publishing Corp is not mentioned once. Tammy must be hired to answer the phone for all these "businesses". National Business Publishing does show up on many scam alerts. Good luck on getting them to stop!

I have received faxes as well and have been faxing back requests to remove my # from the list with no luck. I googled "National Business Publishing Corp" and found these phone #'s 414-228-7701 and
800-727-7995. I called and spoke with a lady named Tammy who took all of my information and is allegedly going to remove my fax #. We'll see...

Received a fax from these people again.  Since asking them to remove us from their fax list does not help I continuously fax junk to them.  It is national Business Publishing corp  360 Main St, Suite 328 Winnipeg, MB R3C3Z8

I am sick of this company - I have requested 4 times to stop faxing us this infomation about a National Contractors Guide - I DON'T WANT IT.  I guess I will have to contact the FCC.

At the place of business that I work we also have been getting faxes from National Business Publishing Corp 13B 360 Main Street Winnipeg, MB R3C3Z8 since at least June 2007.  I started saving them, once I found out that they continued to fax them even after I faxed a few back asking to delete my number from their fax list. There was no contact number to remove your fax from their list.  Today I received the 19th one that I saved and everytime I get one I fax it back to them along with all of they onces they have faxed me.  Let it waste their paper, ink or toner.  My old fax machine had 10 numbers that I could block, but the new one does not.

We also have continually gotten faxes from this company.  Like all the others, faxing them back requesting they remove our number from their database and telling them we do not wish to receive their faxes nets no results.  They continue to harass us with these faxes.

I have been receiving faxes from this company for more than two years & even though I fax them back threatening to notify the FCC it does not appear to bother them for they still are sendinmg faxes to my private home number in the wee hours of the morning which is on a do not call list of private phone numbers.
I am at my witts end so I tried looking them up on my computer to see if I could find their phone number since the only number on their faxes is their fax number. I can only hope that this company can be fined heavily for obviously they must be compensated by the number of faxes they send out ?

repeated faxes will not stop no matter what I do.  There is no phone number or email just a fax # and we are on the national do not fax list this is a total disregard of the law.
