Apparently they are still at it..just received a nasty call from Mark at Werner, why would anyone give the bas.... any info is beyond me ...it is a phone either play him or hang up!!!
That place sucks
If you get a call from a "warehouse manager", trying to approve your unwanted order... his real name is Brian Bentz. He is a real loser like all the other guys there. I'm talking a fat, energy drinking loser that sucks at life. Next time he calls to confirm your order, call him out on his name.
Wont be scammed
"Dan" just called my place of business. Said he was from Werner Electric and we had an outstanding invoice for guess how much? 498! It smelled suspicious since i approve all orders and I immediately got online and found this thread. I can't believe they are attempting to act as though we owe them money. We haven't even received any product from them.
I really need to find out how to get in touch with the so called company that "Keith" works for. He totally lied and scammed me. Really hope he doesn't call here again. I will press charges against him and the bogus company he works for. These people must really be desparate, who in their right minds would do business with people like this??? Liars are the worst scum of the earth.
"Dan" called looking for the custodian, but couldn't remember his name. I made one up and he said "yeah, that's the one." He left the number 800-610-7661 and said a 'secretary' might answer. It's really a call center. Don't let them waste your time.
Really, I have never purchased anything from them nor will I. The salesman that calls us relentlessly is rude and mean. He constantly calls and harrasses the ladies in the office. The person that says they are satisfied with their product is one of them. Nothing but a bunch of horrible people that call and scam, harrass, and belittle people on the phone. We are onto them now after some research and actually can't wait for their next call. Just so we can put them in their place.
You work for these low rent scamming cowards who hides behind an 800 # with no address. So if you really are nicki from the hilton. then what hilton do you work at and whats your position? I bet you will tell everyone, right?
scam is a federal offence, therefore the FBI needs to get involved
got a call 9/26/12 at church that I work at wanting to talk with Maintenace mgr. My cell number was given and unknown individual called immediately wanting to send catalog. Told him that we bought locally and were not interested. "He" told me that I would buy from him! Repeated we buy locally. Several repetitions that I would buy from him. Then "he" told me I was "hollering" at him and that he loved me as much as God loved me even though I was hollering at him. :)
Calling phone number is listed as area code 443 and name given was Werner Electric. No individual name given.
Have never ordered from Werner Electric (no need for us to) and certainly will not in the future
sherry dont pay them just ignore or report to bbb
Prissy in Pink
More likely this post is from "Werner Electric."
wow!!! this is just unreal , how people can scam us like this... i am a facility manager...they called me on a friday afternoon....i wasn;t listening to the guy trying to get out of work and he says he wants to send me a catalog and a small order of bulbs...when i ask the price ..he gave me the answer i don;t have your order in front of me or something about the warehouse...then i get the lightbulbs no bill , no return address...and then a few days later a bill for alittle under 500 dollars...called them ....no satisfaction....nasty...i told them i was going to talk to lawyer...he said he has lawyers too....still fighting....
I'm not sure I would leave an email address here
Hate Ben Cox
I worked for this company for a very brief time. I got the job through a friend but had no idea what I was getting in to. The comapny is ran by mostly all addicts, some who claim to be in "recovery" and is owned by Ben Cox. Ben is also a recovering addict and he speaks at NA meetings promoting his life of "recovery", a life of honest living. Yeah right! All the money lining his pockets are from scanning you people out of your money. I honestly dislike the guy and his crappy, dishonest company so much. I would like to see him do jail time and lose it all. If I can offer anyone information about the comapany such as how they operate, where they are located, where Ben lives, what Ben drives, anything like that for the purpose of shutting them down, leave your email address and let me know your replying to me. Also if you have any questions. Thanks and sorry if you got scammed!
Just tell them you will personally deliver the bulbs back to Bank St. Baltimore Maryland and one of their top boys also lives in FL.
I cannot believe these people are still at it. They contacted our custodian on his cell. He said sure send me a catalog, but i don't make the purchases. Days later our company received a box of light bulbs. Two days after that we received an invoice for $500. I sent them a registered letter and backed it up with an email requesting them to get their light bulbs within 2 weeks or we will donate them to a charitable organization. 2 weeks later i receive another invoice. I called the (410) number but it was disconnected. I called the 800 # and they told me they never received the letter or email. Told me i was being condescending and hung up. I called back 15 minutes later and they set the phones to an automated answering system stating they were closed. LOL
Well folks I am happy to have found this site. About 3 years ago I got a phone call and they were asking for the maintenance supervisor. I told them that we did not have one here. They somehow knew my name. They said that our order was ready to ship. I said "OKAY". The company I work for is rather large and this person sounded like they have sent us bulbs before. I was rather new to the company so I just brushed it off. There was no order confirmed and I did not get a name. We received a small bundle of bulbs and later received a rather large bill of $499.00. We found a way to send it back and did. We got a few harassing phone calls, but we get those all day so was not a real big deal. They are a scam and they actually called me today. When I said all of our business is done through corporate they quickly said goodbye. They are looking for people who just agree with what they are saying. They say words like "free" "catalog" and "Gift Card". A five dollar gift card for 500 dollars worth of lights that do not fit your particular lights. They also say, "Is your order the same as last time". The best way to get them off the phone is to tell them corporate does your ordering. Scam at its best. God bless America
Well after some searching and snooping I was able to find Ben Cox's personal cell phone number and e-mail address. I gave him a call earlier to discuss the light bulbs that he sent us but he continued to direct me to the office (which never answers). The phone number and e-mail address are listed below, let me know your outcome.
These losers have their own website now. Maybe the Better Business Bureau will FINALLY step in and do something.
These guys are jerks
Collections?? hahaha . The names they use aren't real. Try asking for Shawn.
Don't let them scare you. They wouldn't dare allow something to turn into a legal matter, since they are crooks and want to avoid the law.
If you ship them back, they will refuse it.
This company claims that an employee called and ordered $500.00 worth of 60 watt light bulbs and sent them to us. I called them and told them we did not order these and tried to return them but the return was refused. They are now trying to "settle" for half the amount before sending us to collections.
This company tries to get you to give them the maintenance person's name and cell phone number in order to badger or trick them into sales. The sales person tricked someone into giving them my maintenance person's cell number and they harassed him for a week!!!!!!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!!! I filed a BBB complaint against Werner International Enterprises and asked to be taken off of the calling list.
The people defending this company should be ashamed of themselves. Be warned, do not do any business with these scam artists. I hope you get shut down.
Same scam a message was left by a woman named "Terry" saying she was a friend of a co-worker please call. When I called I was transferd to a guy John who was trying the same light bulb scam. The phone number I called was 410-631-5092. They get real ticked off when you catch their scam early.
Bob in Dallas
This company is full of scam artists from the receptionist (who badly needs customer service skills) all the way to the top CEO. They called our company and got the name of one of our building engineers. Then used his name as the ordering customer with "Verbal" as the purchase number. The invoice describes a bulb that doesn't exist. I contacted Werner and spoke to Pat Kelly about this issue and he became so irate that he was yelling @ me so I hung up on him. But during our conversation I found out that he doesn't know what brand of bulb they supposedly sent to us, doesn't know the NAED number for the bulb. In fact he doesn't know what NAED means. These guys are crooks!!!!!
