Just one more thing:
They had already called me on Sunday (even on Sunday) and I had a big laugh due to their generosity.
Not only had I won a trip for 2 but I could ask for as many extra tickets as I wanted so I kept pressing 1.
Finally they hang up!
We'd better ignore them or they will keep calling back!(They tell others which numbers answer their calls).

You're so fake!
Why are you trying to deceive the rest of us?
I'm glad someone spotted you right away!
I got the same call Today and if they are so wonderful why didn't they speak up when I answered my phone by saying:"Hello Scammers".
No one corrected me,do you know why?-Because I'm right!

Person from here called me and said I "won a free cruise" and that to claim it I needed to send a $118 "port tax fee"
Very insistent on getting my card number, I declined the offer and he said he will pass the offer on to the next person.
Good luck to whoever that is, hope they have the sense not to give their card number out.

ROFL, she is wrong on the survey part. It is *not* legal in the US since they try to sell a product at the end of the survey. True survey's are exempt from DNC here, but not ones that attempt to sell at the end of the bogus little survey.

Automated call received from a local number (902) 708-8310 that was a four-question survey, totally unrelated to a Caribbean cruise, which I completed. Press 1 to speak to an agent followed. I did that and was connected to a fast speaking female who spun out the free trip for two that I had won to the Bahamas. No information was given on my behalf but I informed her politely I would be reporting her and her second number that turned up -- 1-800-619-0592 -- to the CRTC in Canada. "Our survey is illegal in most countries," she said, probably a Freudian slip. It turned out I would have to make my own way to the ship in Florida but that I was guaranteed hotel accommodation and that the cruise line had first class relations with airlines. Not impressed. But no request for my cc number.

When did you go and where did you go? How can you prove you are not a scammer working for a scammer. How do we know it is 100 percent legit? I have not seen where u commented on anyone else's response to you. Wish what you said was all true, but I am very skeptical about giving them my bank account information or debit card information.

stay on the phone, answer their stupid poll and tell them to f*** off when you get to a real person...I told them I would call the police on them if they called me again, and the guy got all upset, "who...the OPP or RCMP?" and I told them I would call them all...he hung up on me, the bastidges!! NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER TO ANYONE OVER THE PHONE AND CALL THE POLICE TO REPORT THIS SCAM!!

this is a scam - they want to charge you $69.00 per person for port fees and then charge you $200.00 later on for deposit and another $100 for pass key...
the money goes to a numbered shell company in Ghana
don't fall for this scam

Quand je leur ai dit que je voulais recevoir l'information écrite concernant la crosière avant de payer, ils ont refusé de m'envoyer l'information par la poste. Ils voulaient que je paye avant et je leur ai dit que je refusais leur croisière.

I got a call from: 800-619-0592 today,
because I did respond to a "do a telephone-survey and get a free cruise" yesterday.
While on the telephone, the caller sent me an E-mail,
that cited their web-site: http://GrandCaribbeanCL.com
Registration information for that site:
Domain Name: GRANDCARIBBEANCL.COM
Creation Date: 2010-02-23T08:08:49.0Z
Registrant Name: Caribbean Cruise Line Caribbean Cruise Line
Registrant Organization: Caribbean Cruise Line
Registrant Street: 2419 E Commercial Blvd
Registrant Street: Suite 100
Registrant City: Fort Lauderdale
Registrant State/Province: FL
Registrant Postal Code: 33308
Registrant Country: US
Registrant Phone: +1.9545679353
They are _not_ a BBB member:
http://www.bbb.org/south-east-florida/busines ... ale-fl-92014161
The caller said that their cruise-ship sails at 5:30 PM, but they wanted me & my partner to board before noon. The caller said NOTHING about be required to listen to a two-hour pitch for a time-share.
The cruise is an overnight trip, supposedly giving free-time from 8 AM to 6 PM, before reboarding the ship for an overnight back trip back to Palm Beach (Florida).
The caller asked for $69 per person in fees, payable via credit-card,
giving me the option to book anytime in the next 18 months,
except between December 24 and January 4.
When I (falsely) claimed that my Canadian (alleged) partner has been banned from entering the USA for 2 years, the caller stated that they could "extend" the eligibility-period beyond 2 years.
The caller offered a hyperlink to a fee-for-service company that expedites the acquisition of a US passport (necessary to travel from the USA to the Bahamas), but that web-site did not allow me (while in Canada) to proceed with any transaction.
Scam? Maybe!
Questionable marketing techniques, such as calling from a non-traceable number to do the "survey"? Definitely!
Am I going to risk it? NO WAY!

Don't fall for it. It's a scam, but its a "legal" scam. First they try to tell you that you've won a free trip but you are still charged for things anyway, and the time-share sales pitch IS total high pressure. You sit through a stupid presentation from an annoying sales rep. When you say you're not interested, the classic "let me tell my supervisor you don't want to go" starts, and you pass through levels of ever more annoying sales people offering you better and better "deals".
Get this : The original $20,000 time share sales pitch drops to $5000 by the time you tell sales person number 5 to F off. What does that tell you about the actual value of the time shares?
Do some digging and you'll find that the time shares they are actually selling are worth nothing. They are poorly constructed buildings in bad neighbourhoods far from the destinations you want such as beaches.
Time Share is not a scam, but its designed for suckers. They take advantage of low-income earners and sell them on the "dream" of having a fantastic place to vacation in. The only winners are the condo owners who by sub-dividing their condos into weekly timeslot ownerships they sell their properties at 50 times more than they are worth, making your time share slot completely worthless and impossible to sell later.

800-619-0592 is a number I got called from after I have done a survey on the phone. These scammers are trying to give people wrong information about a product that they are trying to sell. The method they are using is unethical, such as, hidden fees, faking winning situation and asking for credit card information for an unknown reason, and more...
| DJN 2013-10-06 16:46:11 Unknown |
Got a call yesterday from an automated service. Free cruise blah blah blah. Answered 5 question survey and was told to expect a call within 24hrs with details. Got that call just now. Listened to all the blah blah blah until the credit card question came up. I told the lady to email me the details. She did, wanted the card number right then. When I said I wasn't going to give it up over the phone without doing some research first she just hung up.

This number called me. Of course I have no clue who it is or what they want, but they know my phone number and where I live. Scary!! Again it was someone who can barley speak English on the phone and he said that someone hacked into windows on my computer and he could fix it and that they saw it. I said but I do not own a computer and he hung up on me. I had 2 other calls today from other numbers and they could barely speak English those numbers are 302-345-7208 come up as M. Stackhouse and they said the were from Education Link.. The other number is725-924-8724 and they were from education search. These all sounds like the same people calling over and over again! Very annoying! maybe there is a link between all 3 numbers, if you get a call from the 800 number here, then let us know and check to see if you get calls from these other numbers the same day or week. Just curious.
