Been receiving many unanswered calls from them asking for an unknown person. "Vanessa Williams"    just blocked  the number

I waited and waited and waited for someone to come to theline?  They called and no live person, the had me wait over 10 minutes and thena recording said to call them at 800 640 9211 but that's the number they were calling from and no one was on other end.  Blocking!!!

I keep getting phone calls from this company for another person with the same last name, but is not me!   I will not call them and give them any personal information as I have already been a victim of identity theft via IRS and have submitted police reports and affidavits!  

I'll join the suit.  I'm sure they are violating the fair debt collection practices act, even if you do have debt.

I received a call from this number on my cell phone.  When I was able to pull off the road and into a parking lot, I called the number back and selected the prompt to speak to a live representative.  

When the man came on the line he advised that the call could be recorded for training purposes, and asked who was calling.  I asked what kind of company it was, and why they'd called me.  "You made this call," he responded.  I informed him that I was merely returning the call to my phone, and he told me that they are "a collection agency."  

Since I have no outstanding debts, I told him that they called a wrong number.  He apologized and hung up.

Perhaps they've cleaned up their act a bit -- but only by a little bit.  Both my home and cell phone are on the Do Not Call List.

I dont understand your posting, what is it that you were trying to tell people ? Why you give your girlfriend phone number to the public?

I got the same no answer or message but mygirlfriends number 1-800-640and9 I then dialed mygirlfriends number 3107870358 and it went to my 9digit calculated 7 column s X five rows equals4.500 is Sheriffs frequency.

I've had a call from them at the from 2 different numbers.
One is (866) 767-2289 and (800) 640-9211 both.

Progressive Management Systems has been calling me repeatedly trying to collect a debt from someone who doesn't live here.  They do not have the courtesy to put a real person on the phone so that you can let them know they have a wrong number.  I have called them back twice but still get a recorded message.  I have told them they have a wrong number, but still get repeated calls.  Now that I know where they are located, I may file legal action against them.

Just got this number on my cell and did not answer it. Put it on my contacts to 'go directly to voice mail... end of story on these MF's

They just called for my mother. She's a retiree and does not have any debt. We won't be calling back after hearing these stories.

Received an extremely creepy call from these people today.  The woman was trying to reach my underage daughter.  I asked why they wanted to talk to my daughter, the woman said it was "private".  I mentioned that my daughter was a minor, and that I wanted to know why she was calling my daughter.  Again, the woman refused to say why she was calling and insisted on talking to my daughter, claiming it was private.  I knew something was up, since there is no legitimate reason a strange adult would be calling a child, and refuse to tell the parent what it was about.  I pressed the issue, pointing out that she was either trying to lure my daughter into a shady business deal, or even worse, she was trying to lure my daughter into some sort of creepy sexual thing.  Well, at that point it became clear I had hit the nail on the head.  She completely freaked out, claiming mistakes and making other excuses for the call, and then she hung up.  There may be a real company here, but there is at least one person there who is using the information they have access to for their own deviant behavior, beware.

Edith at Progressive Management Systems (PMS!) called this morning saying I was being called by a debt collector.  When I called back, she wanted my birth date, but when I asked who she represented, she would not give that information.  We mutually hung up.  As far as i know i have no debts at the moment.

This people are colling me 6 times a day..im tired of that ..i want to stop that....

This number is a robo-caller from a company called Progressive Management Systems.

They pose as a debt collection agency but is a 100% SCAM.

They are based in Covina, California, if you look them up on the web you will find numerous complaints.

If you can block their numbers, do so ahead of time.

They left a voicemail asking for my 9 year old son. I wonder what debts he might have.

Got automated message to call this number back.
Don't know why they're calling

I refused to provide my personal information, then she got nasty saying she can not discose the nature of the debt collection without the information.
Still don't know why they're calling and now they want personal information from me?

Perhaps the organization would have better success with whatever they do if they just took a step back to look at how they bully the people they call to get whatever (Still don't know why they're calling)

This number called my home phone number at 2000 on January 13,2009. They did not leave a message'

This number has come up on my caller id many times.  I blocked the calls but decided enough was enough.  I called the number to see who the number belonged to and found it was Progressive Management Systems but wondered why they were calling me.  I stayed on the line until I spoke to a lady who wasn't too friendly and asked her what kind of company this was and she asked me to hold on.  She asked me to confirm my name and DOB then asked for my address.  I refused to give out my information and she refused to tell me what kind of company they were so I hung up.  Thank you to the previous people who posted that this is a collections company.  Clearly they are calling the wrong person.

These dirtbags will NOT tell you why they are calling until you give private information. When I demanded proof of a debt, they hung up on me.

I keep getting calls from these people. They are rude and attempt to sound threatening.  I guess the do not call list doesn't really work anymore (if it ever did).

If you get a call from these morons, just ignore the call.  Maybe they'll get the message....

They are the worst company. I block any and every number they call from. They are rude and don't listen. I was not going to verify anything with them either and Julie the rude b**** told me I wasn't cooperating. Like I would give my info out over the phone when I don't even know them. Guess they haven't heard about identity theft.

Last name was ok, but first name wasnt mine. Also my number is on the national no call list.

Got a call from this company this A.M.  No contacts with them before. Will research and post on results

We continue to receive calls from this number.  We no longer answer.

They called me and read off my date of birth and asked me to verify my address before even telling me why they were calling me. I told them i needed them to identify why they were calling she would not answer me and asked me to verify my address, i told her she needed to identify herself with why she was calling. She said if you can't verify yes or no i can't move forward, i said no i am not verifying and hung up.

These morons keep calling us asking for someone who we never heard of. We have told them on many occasions to stop calling and they keep calling. Progressive Management Systems (PMS) has horrible work ethics and standards which is evident by them continuing to harass families after being told to stop. FCC complaints have been filed/

Name came up "unavailable" on caller ID.  Googled the phone number and found it to be from a PMS, or Progressive Management Systems out of West Covina, CA.  They are a collections agency.  Their number now resides on my 'blocked caller list.'
