I have also backed away from dealing with Superior due to their pushy reps. What I am concerned about is their 50% cancellation for cards that have not been produced. They have given no product or service and now expect $2000 to cancel the order. Is that legitimate? I don't think so. I'd strongly advise passing on this "great opportunity" to anyone considering using Superior Fundraising.

Aloha Jerome,
Thank you so much for your post.  Our pop warner organization is looking at fundraising options and this company was listed.  I mentioned that I would do research with the BBB to see if they are accredited and noticed that they weren't and were given a C rating due to two negative comments.  I came across this page and read through all the comments. However, your post was the most helpful.
Thank you!

If they never actually say anything when they call, it is impossible for you to tell them you're not interested.  It's pretty unprofessional to call every day and just hang up.

The same thing happens here--only I work at a university.  They call EVERY day, wait for me to identify the university (usually 3-4 times), and then just hang up.  Auto-dial or no, if they're just hanging up and not actually speaking to someone, it seems quite ridiculous.

This call came in to the church and the caller hung up before I could answer it on the second ring.  I called the number back and the man answered the phone "Superior."  This company is a company that does fundraisers for churches.  I asked him to remove our number from his call list as we do not do fundraisers and he said he would.  He was polite.

We get numerous calls from this number. Even after being asked to be removed from their contact list, they still call.

The church receives a call from this number every morning, but they hang up as soon as we answer.  I finally got the number off caller ID before the call was terminated and called them.  The only identifying information they gave was "Superior."  I told them about the repeated calls and asked to be removed.  They said they would, but it remains to be seen if they actually do it.

why not giving him a call. They do good work and could help you earn some money for your programing. They have outreach in all the programs they do so you can get the word out in the community about your group.

I don't think there are too many cries for help coming from 1-800 numbers.

People who are making a call for help would probably not
a) pay the high expense of setting up a WATS line just to do so
b) want to speak to the "youth minister," whose name they do not know, and whom they cannot identify, and
c) make a sales pitch when you answer.

I agree with this post one hundred percent. I signed up for their fund-raising program with my church in June. At the time of the signing of the contract, I was reading it on my computer and their representative- Tina -was on the phone with me reading it aloud. When she got to the part about a $50.00 charge for shipping the cards, she skipped right over it. I caught it and brought it to her attention, at which time she quickly retreated to talk to her supervisor and returned with permission to waive the shipping charge. I should have backed out right then and there, as it was a foreshadowing of repeated acts of dishonesty that followed during the on-going negotiations over which vendors we wanted. At one point the vendor person- Brook -sent me a "discount" offer for a free appetizer with the purchase of 2 entries at Applebee's... The problem was, THAT IS A STANDARD MENU OFFERING AT ANY APPLEBEE'S. When I called her on it in an email, she simply pulled it and sent other offerings... without even commenting as to why she even tried such a thing. At another point an she offered a discount at Eastside Mario's- a restaurant -that  was up to $9.99... But when I accepted it the offer was listed as "up to $8.99" of the card. Again, I called her on it, and she changed to the original offer price... no explanation, no apology, nothing.  There was at least one other act of clear dishonesty that I recall right of the top of my head. It's like they try their dishonesty trickery with the understanding that if they can get away with it then "great!", and if they're caught "oh well, may I can get away with the next under-handed move". Worst of all, while the sales and vendor reps can be described as dishonest buy amicable while trying to get the contract signed and get the final agreement on the vendor selections , once the payment is due the account is placed in the hands of people with a hardcore "bill collector" mentality- in my case Genni -rude, insulting, and demanding. It's pathetic. Anyone who has a complaint against this organization and wishes to muster forces to start a boycotte or anything of the kind PLEASE contact me- Jerome Robinson (213) 864-1895/jeromeo59@yahoo.com.

Superior Cards called our church several times, very pushy.  Asked to speak with the Youth Pastor.  Youth Pastor avoided calls for a very long time. Thought if he would speak to them, they'd finally leave us alone.  They are a very shady organization.  Better Business Bureau gives them a "F" rating.  Several business and organizations have posted complaints.  They are not forthright in answering questions.  What ever you do, don't assume they will honor anything they say to you.  This company has several alias.  They are located in Vancouver Washington and are a telemarketing scam. We spoke with a Jesse, and a Ginny(harsh, rude, unapproachable).  They are "script savoy"  Avoid them at all cost.  Do your research, avoid asuperiorcards.com  Look at their website, only lists bare minimum info.  I have read several court papers on them.  They are harsh, hung up on me when I asked tough questions they could not answer.  Our lawyer is looking into them.

These people keep calling us (I'm the pastor of a small church), and no one is there when I answer.

I finally called, it is "Superior" something, told them we kept getting calls from this number and no one is there.

The lady was VERY nice, asked for our number, and said she'd make sure we got taken off of the automatic dialer.

All you have to do is listen to the recording but don't push 1.  Wait til the end.  It will give you the option to push 2 to be removed from their list.  You would not believe the amount of calls that have stopped because I either push 2 or wait til I hear a real person and ask them to be removed.  It does work.  You just have to listen to the recording.  This particular number was for healthcare coverage.  They probably do this for so many companies.

We are a church and keep getting calls from them.  As far as I can remember, we've never used them before for fundraising.  We are on the National Do Not Call list, so I called them back and told them that and to please remove the number.  If they call again, then I will report them.  They also gave me the name of Superior Fundraising.

We got calls from this and similar guys too. I suspect they just want to test whether your number is still being used or not. You picked up the phone and say hello, they hanged up because they got the answer: it is a valid number.  They collect and sell the information to telemarketers.  We always receive more junk faxes days after receiving these spamming calls.
