Had numerous calls from this # for the last couple weeks. Answered this morning & spoke with a young man who says he is sub-contracted to Bell Mobility & that there is a special promo on for existing customers who renew their contracts again with Bell. I said that I had been planning to renew & what was the promo? He could give me the 'unlimited talk & text plan' for $60/month & also the upgrade on the Sony Xperia Z2 for $25.00 instead of $99.00 (the online price @ Bell). There was an additional $15.00 reconnection fee (?). While we were chatting I Googled the phone # & was checking out the posts on this page. I told him I'd think about it & asked if I could call him back? Apparently not....some lame excuse. He said he could call me back the following morning - I said ok. In the meantime I've contacted Bell customer service & the woman I spoke to was not aware of this 'promo' & asked me for the # which she in turn called. She said if it had been a REAL Bell Mobility number it would have directed her to a specific department....it didn't. She did not know who or what this was but strongly suggested that I not give them any info & deal only with Bell online or in-store. I've since edited this # to go straight to my voicemail. SCAM!!!

I've been getting numerous (a few every day) calls from (800) 661-4858 and although I never take the call, I find it very annoying and would like the calls to stop.

They keep calling me after many times I've told them to stop. They say they are from Bell BUT THEY ARE NOT!!! It's a scam!

Called Bell @ 1 800 667-0123 and told them that 4 calls in 24 Hours is RIDICULOUS!
I asked them to opt-out and was told that they didn't have that possibility anymore and that it had to be made from the account setting on their website:
https://mybell.bell.ca/MybellAccount
What a bunch of CRAP!
Their "privacy policy" clearly states to contact them.
http://support.bell.ca/billing-and-accounts/s ... _privacy?step=3
Option to opt out
If you don't want your information shared among the Bell companies, please contact us.
Typical Bell nonsense. :(

Called 3-4 times a day since 5-6 days.
I called Bell to ask to see who's behind this number... Told me it's the telemarketer number of Bell!!
I was very upset. Asked them not so calmly to make sure that I never received another phone call from this this number again.
We'll see...

I've answered three times when 1-800-661-4858 call. They say nothing and the line goes dead. WTF

This number calls my phone about twice per day almost every day and I am on a pay as you go plan. I NEED IT TO STOP!
I don't answer so I don't know what company it is.

I, too, have been getting calls to my cell phone from 800 661 4858. I don't typically answer calls from numbers I don't recognise or that are labelled "caller unknown". I'm glad I found this site, because I've tried other reverse call look-ups, with zero results. Now that I know who's calling (thanks to all who entered their peeves), I'll just block the calls.

Just called me saying calling on behalf of bell mobility. I am eligible for upgrade plan. First he wanted to confirm my information which of course I am not going to because I do not trust anyone calling me even legit. I tell them I will call back just leave comment on the account especially when relating to finance. Anyways thanks all for info I will be placing this number on blocked calls on my phone ad do not call list surely don't work.

I received a call from this number and did not answer because if the 1-800. # on my call display. Figured it was telemarketing. Called the number back and its Bell Mobility calling to make sure my plan meets my needs. It was a recording. Makes sense seeing as my contract is up in a few months.

They have been calling me on my cell phone 5-6 times a day the past week....give it up already!
Gene 2014-04-28 19:24:01 Unknown
it's not real, me they are calling since autmn 2013... i answer one and now they don't stop.
Craig 2014-04-16 18:39:48 Unknown
They've been calling me at least once every other day, up to as often as 3 times a day, for about six weeks. Answered it once about a week in and told them I couldn't talk because I was on my way to work, hoped they'd go away. No such luck.

Receiving numerous calls from 800-661-4858....extremely annoying to receive them on my personal cell #....shouldn't be allowed!!!!!!!!

If you wanted your name on their calling list (no I don't know why), they could add it in seconds so why does it take a month to remove your name. Look in the front of your phone book and they make a statement they believe telemarketing is a legitimate form of business and totally support it, in other words they make money off of this annoying practice and don't really care about who they annoy regardless of their advertising. To them you are just scum getting in their way. Even worse is how our governments support them. We should not have to sign up to stop calls, rather we should have to sign up to get the calls especially the robo calls from the politicos. Those two bit idiots don't care either.

It's a Bell/Aliant sponsored telemarketer. You can get removed from the calling list by calling Customer support at Bell. Problem is that you will still be harassed for another 31 days; both cell and home phone. That will be 4 to 8 calls a day for me. I have a pay as you go phone and will let it run out and switch providers. Nice to see that their marketing department is getting their customers to switch to the competition. Way to go Bell. Get yourself a Panasonic KX-TGA401C or something similar and add the number to the call blocker built into the phone. One ring and it hangs up on them automatically. That's how I'm dealing with it on the home phone line anyway.
eva 2014-04-14 13:25:54 Unknown
why do you keep calling
Josette 2014-04-10 17:49:58 Unknown
If they are not from Bell Aliant how did they know my prepaid balance?

I'd like to report this phone call : 1-800-661-4858.
They've been calling me every day, for 2 weeks now.
Thank you.
angry 2014-03-31 21:33:48 Unknown
sick of all these calls
Ma Bell has a grip on you 2014-03-18 20:06:49 Unknown
With Bell you MUST put yourself on their 'Do not call list', their 'Internal Do not call list', and if you check your bill from them there is a zero dollar item 'Telemarketing consent'. You have to get on the phone to customer service to have it removed. Eventually they'll answer the phone - - - eventually.

Got a three calls from this number. Answered all three. first two were dead air so I hung up, third one someone finally answered. said they were from Bell, wanted me to say my name loud and clear....I asked them why and they couldn't give straight answer and I wouldn't say my name so they eventually hung up.
Patti 2014-03-10 19:01:44 Unknown
They called my landline too, most likely because my cell phone is never on unless I need to make a call. It is used very seldom and it is only when I arrange for someone to call me on it that I leave it turned on. By the way, I'm not on a contract but pay by the month or every 2 months, basic calling with no message taking or call display. The only bad thing about it is that it cannot be used in the US, which seems absolutely riduculous to me, especially when the phone has $$$ on it.
