I also got a call this morning from NPCC (that is how it was brought up on our caller id with number 619-778-8784.  I answered the call, lady by the name of DIanna asked to speak with the office adminstrator, I informed her that avaliable at this time asked if I could take a message, she stated yes.  Have the office adminstrator call 800-669-338 x46 and ask for Dianne, asked what this is in regards too, she said she is with the National Provider Compliance Corpration.
Did some research, and aftering reading some post I made the decision not to call her back.

These folks are disgusting. I hope they get sued or worse. Please believe ALL of the negative reviews about this place. It's NPCC (National Provider Compliance Corporation) in La Mesa (San Diego, CA). They call any medical-related business and try to bait you into attending one of their phoney "seminars" which teach you nothing. The seminar is just a "hard sell" event. (Kinda like baiting you with a free vacation to get you to attend a timeshare sales seminar.) They are NOT selling you anything on the initial calls so they are exempt from the DNC list. While you attend their fake seminar (usually lead by a loud-mouth female with little or no medical experience), they try to get you to buy some bootleg software on the "new" healthcare laws. They are so desperate they post ads every few weeks like this one:

TELEPHONE SALES: Based on the numerous new healthcare billing reforms, National Provider Compliance Corporation is expanding our customer base and seeking Telephone Sales Representatives (business to business exclusively). Telephone sales experience required. Monday-Friday 7am-3pm. Unlimited commission/bonus potential with a guaranteed hourly rate. Paid training. Healthcare benefits. For consideration, email your resume to (blah-blah.com). For more information, call 800-669-3328.

Voicemail from Brenda, speaking in very authoritative voice, calling about the Notice of Medicare Compliance Changes & implementation of ICD-10.  States "I do need a call back" at 800-669-3328 x 55.  Seems that she is trying to come across as official Medicare representative calling regarding your compliance, when in fact she is trying to sell you training.  I googled the company name and phone # and came accross their BBB rating which is an F.

Here are a couple of the complaints filed with the San Diego Better Business Bureau:
Complaint: NPCC advertised an educational seminar, a Medicare Changes Workshop, accredited for continuing education by several professional organizations. What they presented on November 30, 2011, was a marketing event for their own $600 product that supposedly would answer all the questions that the seminar failed to answer. False advertising. Disservice. I called the company and was told all seminars were non-refundable. I pressed on sharing that I was aware that at least one national organization had revoked their accreditation due to complaints similar to mine and that they had not notified our office of that and was invited to write a letter to be reviewed by the owner. I pressed further and was told they would call me. I might eventually settle this on my own but I would like this company's unethical practices made public.

Complaint: I was made aware of a seminar that NPCC was having which was entitled: " New local NY Medicare requirements workshop". I decided to send my office manager and paid the $147.00 fee. In the paperwork they sent me, it stated that the topics would be on ICD-10 coding and changes that we medical professionals need to know. It also states with NCPP 4 hour seminar, we will learn the Medicare changes that our practice needs to be aware of when dealing with Medicare. On Wednesday March 20th., my employee went. When she returned to the office, she informed me that they were selling a program. It had approximately 10 seconds worth of changes with the ICD-10 codes and Medicare. As a matter of fact, my employee asked a question regarding Medicare, and the proctor said " oh, we're not talking about Medicare". That is what the seminar was supposed to be about. They recorded the seminar. I hope you can help get my refund. My office manager had made 3 attempts to get a refund, to no avail. No one answered any emails or letters that were sent to them. This false advertising.Sincerely,**** *. ******* ***.Nothing in the seminar was geared towards the changes in Medicare.

Got a message from National Provider Compliance Comapny regarding new ICDA10 Codes and Medicare changes for April. They tried to sound convincing and official  and stressed this is regarding Medicare billing and how important it was to call them back.

After researching I found that this is just a company wanting you to attend their "seminar" where you will get a sales pitch for more "products" and very little truly helpful or correct information. Don't waste your time or money to call them back or attend their useless "seminars"

received call from this number regarding "Medicare Requirements Workshop", I almost signed up for it until I called the number on the fax and it stated the ext did not exist, Red Flag, Red Flag...I searched the business on BBB with the following results: "F" rating, "This business is not BBB accredited", "14 complaints closed with BBB in last 3 years | 5 closed in last 12 months"

I don't trust them...

Yes, it's National Provider Compliance Corp (aka NPCC), out of the city of La Mesa (in San Diego county) California.  They call medical clinics all over the U.S. and offer a Medicare update seminars/training. Yes, they actually use the name Medicare, too. Get this:  the "Medicare seminar/training" is nothing more than a sales person (usually female) trying to convince you to buy a CD or DVD to improve your medical office. Nothing more. NPCC is just another bait & switch boiler room. Because they initially call to "set appointments" for "seminars," they avoid the DNC list. Here they are again:

TELEPHONE SALES: Based on the numerous new healthcare billing reforms, National Provider Compliance Corporation is expanding our customer base and seeking Telephone Sales Representatives (business to business exclusively). Positions in this booming industry will go fast. For consideration, email your resume to employment@providercompliance.com. For more information, call 800-669-3328.

Sadly, since I was run over by a bookmobile as a child, I have been a lexically obsessed pneuma, a pathetic eremite, haunting libraries and bookstores, inhabiting "reading galleries" in abandoned buildings, sitting around with other addicts, getting high on fresh printers ink, and waiting for our supplier to show up with the latest New York Times Crossword, carefully hidden among the pages of a tattered old porno magazine in order to avoid detection by the authorities.

And now, since 2010, I have found myself reduced to covertly uploading the entirety of the Oxford Unabridged onto 800notes, one word at a time.

Pity me friends, and learn from my mistake.  Keep your children away from public libraries, lest they meet my fate.

"before you be little[sic] other people"

be·lit·tle  transitive verb \bi-?li-t?l, b?-\  disparage

Clearly you are a learned educator.

Sadly, medical billing draws hucksters, cheats, and useless "schools/educators" like road kill draws flies on a Texas highway in mid-July.

Maybe you would like to do some further research before you be little other people, when you assume you make an a** out of yourself. You know nothing about the company and would gain great knowledge about the medical field, if not that, at least learn something about education and respect.

I have received more then 3 calls from this company, and each time told them not to call back. Now they called after hours and left a voice message saying that it is urgent that a returned call is needed (800-669-3328 ext 46).
I did call them back and spoke to the women who answered the phone(not the ext #), and told them if they call again I will be reporting them. She ask for our numbers and said she would take care of it.
Let's see if she does - because I getting very tired of this call!!!

OMG. after getting these calls constantly, I thought it might be worthwhile to attend something like this because it said they would be covering new changes in medicare.  This ended up being a thinly veiled infomercial to buy a $600 "practice management" package..  The location was Pasadena.  One would think that because the seminar itself costs roughly 150 dollars, they would give you some informative material.  WRONG>  This is a sales pitch by an annoying, sloppy lady who talks condescendingly to the audience.  The first third of the lecture is her ranting and telling her how shes so successful and knows all about billing.  There was nothing useful discussed.  the second third of the course is her telling the audience to buy the kit that contains a bunch of papers, dvds and stickers.  She did the whole infomercial thing where she said its usually $1700 and then crossed it out and kept writing a lower number.  The eventual cost was $600.  the third part of the lecture, well I just bolted after that.  Losing the 150 for the "seminar" attendence fee.  Yes, I was duped, but lesson learned.  Never attend something that you found out about through a cold call.  i was really turned off at how aggressive she was to get people to buy the package, I am a doctor and owner of my own clinic, but there were a lot of office managers and MAs there sent by their offices.  She was telling them to buy it on their card and show the receipt to the office and they'll have to reimburse the employee.  I thought this was really manipulative. as I would be pissed if I sent an employee to a seminar and they bought a bunch of useless stuff.

Received a call from "Ann" at National Provider Compliance, who stated that she "needed" a call back  regarding "your company's plan for compliance to Medicare code changes as of January 1st". I was instantly suspicious, since I've had nothing official from CMS. A quick Google search turned up the company website, which is clearly geared toward offering seminars and instructional material. I think that in using a stern tone and implying that they have something to do with Medicare, they hope to startle people into returning a call; it is that sort of underhanded marketing practice that makes them sound unsavory. Not to say that they are a complete scam (although those who did attend seminars seems pretty unhappy with them, see BBB), but they might try a different tactic, one that is more upfront about who they are and what they offer.
