about every three months I get these calls.  The first 2 times Alex Williams called and made threats to have me arrested because I owe $1,000.00 plus interest from 2005 to the tune of $5,000.00 and if I didnt have it by the next day I would be arrested.  This week they called at least 2 times a day. Most of them is music.  I did talk to a gal katherine something, Told her that I was a investigator and that the person she was calling was murdered. Threw her for a loop. Then shortly afterwords Mike Dawson called, said I owed $250.00 when asked who did I owe, First Star bank, I told him funny the bank has changed names and also the amount owed.. Needless to say after a few&***** I didnt hear anything for 5hrs,Now they call and hangup if I don't answer. They were operating form florida, The scarey part is they have my full social security number. when they told me what the number was I told them it was not my number, he said < its not? no its not and hung up, I only wish they could be caught. There are peolpe that fall for this and lose thousands. They also got the number for 1 of my employers and called them.

I too am getting these calls. Claiming I owe $650.00 from a payday loan I took in 2004. I explained to them that I never took a loan and to send me proof. They said then cant send me proof until I make a promise to pay something up front first. He said send me a $100.00. I told him to go to hell and hung up. They called back 24 times at my work. Each time a co-worker told them I had left for a day and "Jolen" stated " I know she is there you b$5tch." Now this is my WORK. I ended up answering the phone to stop the insanity and gave him my cell # just to get him to stop calling my work. He called my cell and we talked in circles. I told him what he was doing was illegal and he smugly said I know, so send me money and I'll stop calling you. He said he will continue to call me at work until I am fired. This is blackmail. I filed a complaint with the FBI who only said "dont send them money and just hang up" Yeah well thats all fine and dandy but in the meantime I have to put up with the harrasment. I filed a complaint with the FTC as well. Someone needs to stop this!

they call all the time  looking for a payday loan for $782.00 from 2004  but if i pay today  they will except 350.00 beause i sound so nice so i told them call my attorney as he ahndles all my finances im unable to handle any mondy  last time iw ent off on them  and they stopped the calls afor about 2 months  they ar always gonna download  my information  what the hell is that   and yes all there names are crazy  jim william s(  heavy accent)  tim smith (same guy) i acaulay tripped them up by calling terhm other names and them saying yes it is me  i believe they use other names like the fcc( fraud protection company)

Help!! I just got a call from these people and I promised to pay them because they scared me so badly. What can I do??

One of my co-workers is receiving the call too.  We have a live answer policy so myself or one of two other employees is answering the phone.  My Co-worker requested they stop calling is work and has reported to the FTC.  They are still calling (14 calls by 11am on Friday).  Today we started telling them that he requested they not call at his work, they say they have no other number (like I would give them one), this caller said he was their attorney and threatended to continously have all 800 operators call me over and over.  He followed through with the threat and called 12 time in 15 minutes.  He gave me my co-workers home address and social security number over the phone.

SAID I OWED A PAYDAY COMPANY FROM 2005 AND THAT I WOULD BE ARRESTED IN24 HRS.ALTHOUGH THIS IS UNTRUE,IT IS EMBARASSING WHEN THEY TELL YOUR EMPLOYER THIS.SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE.................

PLEASE REPORT THEM TO THE FTC OR NOTHING WILL BE DONE AND PEOPLE WILL CONTINUE TO GET SCAMMED!!!

IT IS A SCAM! I got the same thing but they said I owed BANK OF AMERICA.

I have been getting calls from TRANSCOM Inc. ( 303-457-5897)and when I stopped answering my phone, I started getting calls from an "Unknown" number. Then when I blocked the Anonymous calls, the calls started coming from various other 1800, 1866, and 1888 numbers with (1800-670-2136, 1886-268-95455, 1877-740-3332).

I along with these others have received harassing calls from 800-670-2136 and they are calling my employment...they are giving threats over the phone and you can not trace call to have it blocked..they have numerous numbers as well as all the people that has called me is Prince Wright,Neil Anderson, Roger Daniel and many more...they are going to cost me my job.  I have called the FTC and  hopefully, this can be some help.

Anyone receiving calls from this number should report them to the Federal Trade Commission (1-877-382-4357). It is very easy to do and only takes a couple of minutes. The FTC will investigate this organization but only if they get enough complaints for the same phone number. I urge you to contact the FTC as I am also a recipient of phone calls from this number. They call me at work constantly and I've had to resort to not answering my phone or forwarding my calls to voicemail. I have been called by some of the same aliases listed in the posts on this site and other sites on the web(i.e. Chris Johnson, Neil Anderson, Michelle Johnson, etc).  These people will continue to harass you unless you do something about it. Next time they call you, tell them you've already reported them to the FTC. Then, actually follow through and file the complaint.

I have been receiving calls from this company for months.  A few months ago I spoke to two representatives.  The first man gave a name, clearly not his,  told me that I owed money from three years back for a Payday loan.  When I told him that I had no idea what he was talking about he began threatening a lawsuit.  As I tried ending the call his "supervisor" got on the line, same name as the other man which was pretty funny, and continued threatening me.  I hung up.  A month or so went by with no calls and about two weeks ago they started calling again.  If you don't answer the call, some music is played and then a voice says "your call will be answered..." and after about a dozen of those I answered the phone, received that same message and stayed on the line.  A man asked if I was me and I said no, but could I take a message.  He gave this phone number and the name Mr. Harry Gill, he was not a Mr. Gill, when I asked for a message or company name he gave Weathcare Management and said that I would know what the call was about when I heard the name.  I Googled Wealthcare Management and they were not the company that has been calling me.  I will have the number blocked and I have been advised that if needed, I can file a lawsuit for harassment.  I'll see.

In the last 3 days I've received a whopping 29 CALLS from this number!! (800-670-2136) And to my CELL NUMBER on top of it!! It comes up as 'unknown' but finally after answering it I actually didn't get either immediately hung up on or hear ringing as if I was calling someone & then put on hold (which I DID NOT WAIT FOR) a live person was at the other end. I told them I was not in so I could get the details and look them up first since obviously anyone who calls that many times in 72 hrs is obviously a scam! Now I know it for a fact! I got a first name, ALICE, and the same company name, WEALTH CARE NETWORK. From what I've read here they claim to be a payday loan collector??? Well then they have no business with me since I've never had one of those in my life!!! Guess I'll have to set them straight. I won't bother calling them back since I'm sure I'll have plenty of opportunities to inform them on one of the dozens of future calls I'm quite certain they'll make!

Message left over 5 times in 2 weeks.  When I call back I am put on hold and then hung up on.  I have answered one of the calls from an unknown and he gave me the same name ALLEN HARDY.  Said I owe something like $800 to some company I have never heard of.  I told him to send it to me in writing and hung up.  He called back a few minutes later and I threatened to sue him for harrassment.  He still called back a day later but got my voicemail.  I have been hit by these people before for a sum total of $1500 in so called bills I owed to different companies.  I now have a copy of my credit report and if I don't see it on there I don't send them anything.  I also found out that a legal debt collector cannot call your work if you tell them not too on the first call and that if you request the information in writing they have to send it to you and can't call back. Some of these people say that they are from such-and-such fraud division and that they are going to be arresting you if you don't pay them now.  Tell them where to go and go on with your life.  It is a total scam and I have been a victim twice now.

Chris Johnson, Rex McDonald would call me stating that I owe $780.00 to a Cal National because of a loan I took out.  Later they called stating that I owe $800.00 to Cal National and was trying to verify all my personal information.  I don't owe this Cal National anything.

I've been getting call for a week, they alternate numbers but all of them are showing up unknown. The call back number left was 18006702136. They call about 4 time a day but leave messages sparingly. I just ignore them, they have gotten me before but I will not fall for it again. Hindsight is 20/20

I believe they just keep changing numbers. This is the reason we got caller ID, because we kept receiving so many hang up calls. when you are trying to run a business, answering the phone all day long with no one there starts to be a pain and time consuming!!!!

I am also getting repeated calls from this "company" The are using 800-670-2137. They call me over 20 times at work and refuse to stop. I explained to them I never took out a payday loan and if for some reason this was an oversight from 5 years ago then please send me the bill and I will investigate it and if its legit...I will pay it. The fraud gang is back but from another number. I have been dealing with them for over three years now. My supervisor went through great extent to get them to stop calling my job. I hope it sticks. In the mean time, they have started calling my house again. It is ashamed how crafty that they are that you can't catch up with them long enough to convict them.

This number has called 11 times in the past 24 hours. When I answer, it just immediately hangs up. If it goes to voice mail, there is no message left. I called the number back several times and either they immediately hang up without saying anything, or it goes to an automated message where a woman with a British accent says something along the line of how all their operatives are on other calls at the moment, but if I stay on the line, someone will answer shortly to assist me with my inquiry. Music starts to play, the message plays again, more music, then it hangs up after 1 to 2 minutes. I have tried calling at two different times of day with the same result. If they just call and hang up, how can you get them to stop calling?!!!!!!! Just filed complaint with FTC.

Yes if you look up UNITED LEGAL INVESTIGATIONS DEPARTMENT in this web site. You will see they are huge scam artists, They are also exsortionsists. Now I guess they are using new calling card/ trunk numbers. They call from mostly Cali, MN, NY. They will go under names from TV shows or Movie characters.
Don't send these people a dime call your attorney general. Call the FBI, Etc. If they tell you they will arrest you can not be arrested for debt in the US unless it's for Tax evasion. You must have a tax debt with the US goverment. Just look thier name up on line.

I have received numerous calls from this number looking for someone I don't even know. I told them to stop calling my number and since then the number of times each day has increased. I now get at least 6 calls a day. They claim to be calling from Wellcare Management.

I as well, have been receiving calls from this number.  In fact, I have received 21 calls within the past 24hrs to my cell phone, and just got one at work.

By great sites like this and many other, plus like a fool I fell for a similar SCAM years ago, and panicked and sent money, I have learned to play hard ball with these type of people.

I called them back, and after telling them I know they are a scam, and that they are not to call me ever again, is there anything else we need to talk about.  A Chris Johnson, tried his best to convince me this is not a scam, and that I owed money for an old payday loan back in 2005.  I laughed, and mentioned that according to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, please send me proof of such debt to my home address.  Mr. Johnson, said in order to do that, I need to first admitt that this debt is mine and I will pay on it.  Once again I laughed, and told them never to call me, which he replied that they will continue to call until I payoff this debt.  So I politely asked for their company name and address so I can send them a nice letter stating never to call again.  I was hung up on.....

I'm in the process of reporting them now.  Bottom line, never pay them any money, and don't let them take control!!

Just a side note. I have reported these people to the FTC and to the Deparment of Commerece for my state which is MN and they looked these people up and said they are not able to collect in my state legally and that they are in violation and i would need to have them send me something confirming the debt that way i can have an address or something and they will be able to go after them legally. I also have reported these dumb people to the atty general.

hi Anja. if you are the owner of this wealth care management. why aren't you doing something to stop these people from ruining your buisness name. They obviously are. There are ways you can stop this legally you need to get on that. cause they are severely harrassing alot of people around the country and its only going to take 1 person to start a class action against these people and it can fall on you cause of the name and destination of your buisness itself. You need to clear your name and protect the name and reputation of your buisness. Just a thought.

i just got a call from these folks. i advised them that i was recording the call and and i requested the name of the company address. the man said his name was JIM WILLIAMS. He had a very thick middle eastern accent. how many middle easterners do you know named JIM WILLIAMS. lol.. he said he cant give me the address only the state. wealth care management. i told him that i am going to have my consumer lawyer call them and he said he will take my name and number off the call list. lol...lets see how long that lasts. so i called the number back and some lady asked me for my name and i wouldnt give it so i asked her the name of the company and she wouldnt give it to me. by law when a consumer asks for the company name they are to give it to them and if not then the buisness is not legit. I know this cause i work as a litigation specialist for the collections team at my job.

I received numerous calls at work from this company.  I called them back and they told me I owed $500 from a payday loan in 2005.  He said they were offering to settle the account for $400 or they will take me to court.  I tried several times to get him to mail or fax proof that I owe the money.  He never would.  I asked who the payday loan was made by.  He said "First National Bank".  He couldn't tell me what FNB.  He passed me to his supervisor who just kept telling me we could settle this today with a visa or debit card or they would take me to court.  I told him if he can't prove I owe it, I'm not paying.  He said "it will be proven on your credit bureau report."  I told him "Whatever, just stop calling me at this number."

To set the record straight:I don't have an 800# and am in no way connected to this person who is doing these scam phone calls.
I don't own a collection agency but a medical billing company.
